The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Being Framed Again

All the actresses from different periods in the drama should at least resemble each other to some extent in appearance.

Secondly, with so many female actresses playing the lead role, who would actually receive the awards? Therefore, some famous actresses would refuse to take on this play. They worry about being compared and fear that after filming a play, there’s no chance of winning an award.

If there are no actresses with enough fame and skill to take on the role, how can this play be produced?

Cheng Guodong frowned, “Have him change the script, with my sister as the main female lead.”

PR 1 reminded, “Now, with Little Taotie at the center of controversy, this is not helping her, but harming her.”

Cheng Guodong was full of confusion, “How am I harming her?”

...

“There will be malicious rumors that Little Taotie is not satisfied with the script and threatened to use investments as leverage to force the writer and director to change the play.”

PR 2 nodded in agreement and added, “If the play doesn’t become popular, it’s okay. But once it does, the other female actresses will definitely make a fuss. Human nature is unpredictable, and it’s possible they’ll step over Little Taotie to climb higher.”

Cheng Guodong had a splitting headache. He felt that farming was better—it’s straightforward, and as long as you work hard, you’ll reap the rewards. The entertainment industry was too complicated; no matter how hard you work, there would be people discrediting your efforts as a stunt for attention.

“I really can’t figure out these things, just tell me directly, what should I do?”

PR 1 said, “Getting hype before the broadcast is the key. Start with a casting call, look for actors in a completely transparent way.”

“But how do I choose my sister, if not for her, why would I bother spending money to make a film?”

“Chairman Cheng, don’t worry. Aside from Little Taotie, it’s hard for other children to fulfill the roles in this script. First, they need to be from the countryside. There aren’t many child stars born there, which eliminates a large number. Second, they must be good-looking. Those from the countryside generally can’t shake off a rustic air, and it’s hard to surpass her in looks, eliminating another half.”

“Ultimately, and most importantly, they must be strong! The girl in the book is strong because from a young age she helped with farming, did the work of oxen and donkeys, and was oppressed and bossed around, which led her to develop strength at a young age. Little Taotie has natural strength that other children simply can’t match.”

Cheng Guodong nodded, “Then do it as you’ve said.”

Tao Ti, who was with the “Pastoral Life” show crew, had no idea that Cheng Guodong had organized a casting specifically for her and invested in a TV drama.

This time, the task assigned by the “Pastoral Life” crew was for a family to do farm work for the locals until they received votes from the household.

At the end, the family with the highest number of votes would receive a gold zodiac pendant.

Little Taotie used her great strength to help a village granny grind soybeans.

Seeing such a young child doing labor, the old lady felt distressed and summoned her senior girlfriends to come over and together they voted for Little Taotie.

The writers and directors were about to collapse, five other families hadn’t even started their tasks, and six old ladies had already given all their votes to Tao Ti!

Once again, Little Taotie’s group came in first.

Time after time, they were in first place, and the other families started to feel dissatisfied.

The female guests who had dressed up beautifully to charm the wealthy bachelor Cheng Guodong never expected that he would be charmed by Little Taotie instead, and even set up a company exclusively for her.

Jealousy drives people mad, and the female guests secretly sent messages to several gossip studios.

Before long, Little Taotie was blacklisted across the internet!

This time, the reason she was blacklisted was that the “Pastoral Life” show had tailored tasks for Little Taotie, allowing her to shine each time and consistently come out on top.
