The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Tomorrow Grandpa Will Take You to Town

”Grandpa!” Upon seeing him, Tao Ti ran over and leaned against his grandfather’s legs, ”Some people came to the village to film, and I showed them the way!”

The old man brought over a bowl covered with a lid, inside was a shiny chicken leg.

Tao Ti shook her head repeatedly, ”Today I guided the filming crew, and they treated me to a meal!”

The old man stretched out his hand and felt her stomach, seeing that it was full, he smiled and said, ”Save the chicken leg for your breakfast tomorrow.”

”Grandpa, you eat it, I won’t!”

Grandpa always saved some of his own food for her, even though it was very tasty, Tao Ti knew this was not right as her grandfather was ill and needed nutrition to recover.

”Grandpa’s teeth are not good, and he can’t chew it.”

During the pushing and shoving, a head poked out and shouted loudly, ”Mom, Broom Star is sneaking a chicken leg!”

”Don’t shout! Don’t shout!” The old man became anxious.

”How dare you, you skinny monkey, to steal a chicken leg!” Zhang Cuilian charged over with a broom in hand.

The old man stood in front of Tao Ti, ”Cough cough cough it was me... I gave it... cough cough cough...”

Zhang Cuilian didn’t listen to the old man at all, her broom indiscriminately struck out, hitting both the old man and the child.

”Grandpa, please get out of the way, mom I’m begging you, hit me, don’t hit grandpa...”

”You old fool, hiding good food from my precious child! I’ve always disliked you!”

”Grandpa, please move aside! Grandpa... wuwuwu...”

Zhang Cuilian lashed out until she was too tired to continue.

The old man kept protecting Tao Ti, who was unhurt, but the old man himself got beaten quite badly.

”Pah! You old corpse!”

Zhang Cuilian threw down the broom, snatched the chicken leg, and carried her plump daughter back to the room.

The old man shook his head in pain, thinking that if it wasn’t for this child, he wouldn’t have been clinging to his old life.

When a person gets old, they get a premonition, knowing their time is short.

This premonition made his heart flutter with fear, dreading that once he was gone, this child’s life would become even more miserable.

”Tao Tao, do you want grandpa to take you to the city tomorrow?”

”It’s not a holiday tomorrow, why should we go to the city?”

”Tomorrow, grandpa is going to take you to see an old friend.”

”Okay, then I’ll wake up early tomorrow.”

As soon as day broke, Tao Ti was awake.

The old man was hurt and had trouble getting up from bed, and the more difficult it was, the more anxious he grew.

It was imperative to send Tao Ti away!

He had lied to Tao Ti, he was not taking her to the city to meet friends, but to the public security bureau.

Tao Ti was lovely and smart, how could she not be liked by others?

She was mistreated at home, and there was a reason for everything.

Because she was not his biological granddaughter.

Six years ago, his son and daughter-in-law couldn’t have a child, so they figured out a way to get one.

The couple was really good to the child for the first year, but then the daughter-in-law got pregnant!

Since then, the daughter-in-law’s treatment of Tao Ti got worse and worse, filled with beatings and scoldings!

The daughter-in-law finally had her own children, two at once, and Tao Ti’s life became increasingly hard, the small child washing her younger siblings’ diapers in the cold water, her little hands covered with chilblains.

The daughter-in-law had always wanted to dispose of Tao Ti, but there was an old saying in the village, that if you adopted a child and then had your own, you must not abandon the adopted one.

Otherwise, the good fortune they brought would also disappear, and your own children could suddenly die young.

Though the daughter-in-law had her doubts, she didn’t dare to throw Tao Ti away.

He had made up his mind, he was going to take Tao Ti to the public security bureau and confess that she had been trafficked.

He had heard that after confessing, both the buyer and seller were guilty, and this was why he hadn’t dared to speak up until now, but he wasn’t going to live much longer, and he could take on all the blame!

Right as the old man was about to take Tao Ti out, a blue sports car pulled up in front of the house.

The car door opened, and a man dressed smartly in a suit and leather shoes stepped out, looking like a white-collar worker from a big city.

Chen Bin looked at Tao Ti and complimented, ”In person, you’re even cuter than in the live broadcast!”

The old man was very wary and hid the child behind him.
