Medical and Martial God

Chapter 194: Chapter 194: The Conspiracy Is on Its Way

Mutou Bingyuan helped Ming Yue to the hotel. After checking her into a room, he said, ”I noticed a clothing store next door. You go take a bath. I’m going to buy you some clothes!”

Ming Yue nodded and walked into the bathroom with faltering steps, too hungry to even muster the energy to speak.

By the time she finished her bath and came out wrapped in a towel, Mutou Bingyuan had already returned with the clothes. ”Wear these for now. I’ll take you to buy some nicer ones later. Also, you looked terribly hungry, so I bought you a piece of bread. Eat this to tide you over, and then I’ll take you out for a proper meal.”

Ming Yue ignored him, grabbed the bread, and wolfed it down in a few bites. After drinking some water, she finally felt her strength return.

”Luo Kun, do you know what happiness is?” she asked. Without waiting for Mutou Bingyuan to answer, she continued, ”Happiness is having food when you’re hungry, water when you’re thirsty, a place to sleep when you’re tired, and a place to wash when you’re dirty...”

Mutou Bingyuan listened quietly as Ming Yue shared her thoughts on life. Ye Xiu is truly cruel, to have turned the proud and haughty girl from back then into this shell of a person.

When Ming Yue finished, Mutou Bingyuan feigned indignation and said, ”We’re classmates and friends. I will definitely help you get revenge on Ye Xiu for daring to bully you like this.”

”Revenge?” Ming Yue gave a bitter smile. ”Forget it. In Xuanse, no one is a match for Ye Xiu.”

”He’s just a doctor. What’s so great about him?” Mutou Bingyuan said, probing for information. He had sought out Ming Yue precisely to learn more about Ye Xiu. After all, an enemy knows their enemy best, and Ming Yue certainly knew Ye Xiu better than he did.

”Doctor? He’s much more than just a doctor.” Ming Yue took a deep breath, her beautiful eyes filled with fear. ”No one can shake Ye Xiu’s status in the medical world of Xuanse. His influence here is also astonishing. He is a Great Grandmaster; to this day, I have never seen him defeated. Zhu Xiaowen, the new Leader of Jin Ye City’s Ancient Martial Circle, is his close friend. Ye Xiu is incredibly wealthy, and his wife, Qin Qing, is the Chairman of the Zhulu Group. Most importantly, he’s an instructor for the Red Flame Army...”

”What?” Mutou Bingyuan was stunned. ”Ye Xiu is a Red Flame Army instructor? How is that possible?”

”It’s true. I saw the Red Flame Army soldiers call him Instructor with my own eyes,” Ming Yue said.

Mutou Bingyuan’s expression grew grave. The title of Red Flame Army Instructor alone was enough to make Ye Xiu an untouchable figure in Xuanse.

”You said Qin Qing is the Chairman of the Zhulu Group. Could Ye Xiu be the mysterious boss behind the company?” Luo Kun asked.

”I don’t know,” Ming Yue replied, shaking her head.

Mutou Bingyuan frowned. Ye Xiu has money, backing, and power. He’s truly a tough nut to crack!

He then asked, ”If I insist on helping you get revenge, do you have any good suggestions?”

”Forget it,” Ming Yue sighed. ”With just your strength and that of the Luo Family, you are no match for Ye Xiu.”

”No. You’re my classmate. He bullied you into this state, so I must help you get revenge,” Mutou Bingyuan declared resolutely.

Ming Yue stared at him for a good ten seconds before saying, ”Since you’re so determined to go against Ye Xiu, I’ll tell you his weaknesses.”

Mutou Bingyuan’s eyes lit up. ”Tell me!”

”Ye Xiu lay low abroad for ten years and returned to the country for revenge,” Ming Yue began after a moment of thought. ”But his goal isn’t to kill people. He wants everyone who framed him to experience the same suffering he endured. If you could kill all of his enemies, I’m sure it would drive him insane.”

”A brilliant idea.” Mutou Bingyuan was secretly thrilled. ”Do you have a list of all his enemies?”

”I do,” Ming Yue nodded. ”I’ll write it down for you in a bit.”

”Does Ye Xiu have any other weaknesses?” Mutou Bingyuan asked.

”Qin Qing,” Ming Yue said. ”On the surface, Zuo You, Zuo Song’er, Zhu Xiaowen, Yun Lan, and Murong are his good friends. But based on my understanding of him, after what he went through ten years ago, Ye Xiu no longer trusts anyone. He might not even fully trust the Ghost Doctor. But Qin Qing is different. She’s the only family he has left in this world and the person he cares about most. You could say that Qin Qing is his very lifeline.”

As she spoke, Ming Yue’s gaze turned fierce. She said coldly, ”If you could kill Qin Qing, make her leave Ye Xiu, or sleep with her, any of those would be enough to shatter him.”

Mutou Bingyuan fell into deep thought after hearing this. After a long moment, a smile spread across his face. ”With the information you’ve provided, I’m confident I can utterly destroy Ye Xiu.”

”What are you planning to do?” Ming Yue asked curiously.

”I’ll organize an event tonight and ruin his reputation first.” A wicked smile played on Mutou Bingyuan’s lips. He suddenly changed the subject. ”Ming Yue, do you want to become a Martial Artist?”

”I’m long past the optimal age for Cultivation,” Ming Yue said pessimistically.

”I have a Martial Arts Manual here,” Mutou Bingyuan tempted her. ”It’s an Evil Technique, similar to the Power-Absorbing Technique from novels. You can rapidly elevate your Martial Prowess by absorbing the power of others.”

”Is there really such a miraculous technique?” A flicker of light returned to Ming Yue’s lifeless eyes.

”This Evil Technique has one drawback,” Mutou Bingyuan explained. ”The stronger you become, the more you will gradually lose yourself.”

”I’ll learn it!” Ming Yue said without the slightest hesitation. ”My life is worse than death right now. What does losing myself matter compared to spending the rest of my life in Ye Xiu’s shadow, being tortured to death?”

”Excellent. I’ll write down this Evil Technique for you now. Once you’ve memorized it, I’ll teach you how to cultivate it.”

Mutou Bingyuan found a pen and paper and began to write, his heart filled with anticipation. He had acquired this Evil Technique by chance, but it was too sinister and had severe side effects, so he never dared to cultivate it himself. This was the perfect opportunity to use Ming Yue as a test subject.

At home, Ye Xiu was enjoying the sight of Qin Qing practicing her swordsmanship when his phone rang. It was Gong Jin. ”Mutou Bingyuan took Ming Yue to a hotel.”

Ye Xiu was taken aback. ”Surely Mutou Bingyuan isn’t foolish enough to try and use Ming Yue against me, is he?”

”He’s not that stupid,” Gong Jin said. ”I think he wants to get information about you from her.”

”What do you think Mutou Bingyuan will do with the information he gets from Ming Yue?” Ye Xiu asked.

”I don’t know.”

”Keep a close watch on Ming Yue’s every move.” Ye Xiu hung up and narrowed his eyes, putting himself in Mutou Bingyuan’s shoes to figure out his next move.

That evening, Qin Qing answered a phone call and then turned to Ye Xiu. ”The Su Family is hosting a collector’s exhibition and invited me. Should I go?”
