Medical and Martial God

Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Mutou Bingyuan’s Conspiracy

Ye Xiu grew angrier as he spoke, his voice rising with every word.

”Ten years ago, when I won the title of Medicine King, you sent people to bring my mother and me back to the Ye Family. I naively thought you regretted your past actions. But when I was framed and my reputation was ruined across the entire country, you once again kicked my mother and me out of the Ye Family.

”You even summoned the media to publicly sever all ties, claiming I was the bastard son of my mother and some other man. Was that also Zheng Yiwen instigating you?

”I built up my strength abroad for ten years. The day I returned, I crippled your butler and two bodyguards right at the airport. Even then, a part of me still held out hope. I thought that after so many years, you might actually miss your grandson and sincerely welcome me back.

”Instead, you sent Ye Xuan and Yue Chengfeng. Do you have any idea how heartbroken and furious I was in that moment?

”From that moment on, I lost all hope in the Ye Family. So, I crippled Ye Xuan and defeated Yue Chengfeng in a single move, thinking that this time, you would surely feel regret, fear, or even despair.

”Then you sent Zheng Yiwen, Yue Chengfeng, and Luo Senyuan after me. Even a vicious tiger won’t eat its own cubs, Ye Tianming! Yet you tried everything you could to kill me.

”Today was even more despicable. You sent Li Yan and four Eighth Grade Grandmasters to desecrate the graves of my mother and grandparents. You even came here yourself with Ye Shaokang, planning to use your War God strength to subjugate me.

”And now that you know who I am, now that you know how terrifying my power and influence are, you’re finally afraid. You’re finally despairing. You’re finally regretting...”

Listening to Ye Xiu’s words, which seethed with boundless hatred, Ye Tianming knew he would not live to see another day. With that thought, his fear vanished. He said, ”Ye Xiu, this is all my fault. It has nothing to do with the other members of the Ye Family. I am willing to die to atone for my sins. I only ask that you spare the rest of the Ye Family.”

”Do you think that’s possible?” Ye Xiu snarled through gritted teeth. ”My mother and grandparents died such unjust deaths. They’ve been waiting in their graves for ten years, waiting for you all to come down and apologize. If I were to spare the Ye Family, how could they possibly rest in peace?”

With that, he moved to crush Ye Tianming’s throat.

Just then, Qin Qing spoke up. ”Will killing him now truly satisfy your hatred?”

Ye Xiu understood what Qin Qing meant. His original plan for revenge was to let his enemies waste away in fear and despair, not kill them outright. It was just that the desecration of his mother’s and grandparents’ graves, coupled with seeing Ye Tianming, made it impossible to control his murderous intent.

Ye Xiu reluctantly released his grip on Ye Tianming’s neck. Taking a deep breath, he ordered, ”Chloe, take Ye Tianming and Ye Shaokang to Qiancheng Farm. Have them rebuild the graves of my mother and grandparents.”

”As you command!” Chloe nodded. With a cold gaze fixed on Ye Tianming and Ye Shaokang, she said, ”This way.”

Ye Tianming and Ye Shaokang, who were slumped on the ground, tried to stand. However, they were trembling so violently from sheer terror that their legs wouldn’t support them. Chloe had no choice but to grab them by the wrists and drag them away.

Ye Xiu sat cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes, forcing himself to calm his turbulent, bloodthirsty emotions. Qin Qing stood silently nearby, waiting patiently.

A dozen or so minutes later, Ye Xiu’s eyes opened. He stood up with a faint smile and said, ”Come on, I’ll take you to see the show. I just hope we’re not too late.”

Seeing that he was back to his usual self, Qin Qing asked, ”Where are we going?”

”I’ll tell you on the way,” Ye Xiu replied.

At that moment, twenty-four people were seated in a private room at a bar called Jade Hue. They were Mutou Bingyuan, the Nine Serpent Heads, and the nine great talents of the Tiansha Association.

All of them were War Gods.

Kuroki Suzu was also among them.

”It has been many years, Young Master. How did you come to look like this?” Yagyu Uemon asked.

The others were just as shocked. When they first entered the private room and saw Mutou Bingyuan, they thought they had gone to the wrong place.

”It’s to better conceal my identity,” Mutou Bingyuan declared proudly. ”I am now Luo Kun, the Eldest Young Master of the Luo Family in Xuanse!”

Kuroki Suzu and the others exchanged glances. Mutou Bingyuan was so afraid of Huang Quan finding him that he’d actually had plastic surgery to assume the identity of the Luo Family’s Eldest Young Master. With this disguise, perhaps not even Huang Quan himself would recognize Mutou Bingyuan.

”Young Master, you ordered us to move the War God Assessment to Jin Ye City and commanded all of the Tiansha Association’s elites to mobilize. What exactly are you planning?” Yagyu Uemon asked.

”I had you move the War God Assessment to Jin Ye City for two reasons,” Mutou Bingyuan explained.

”First, there are tens of thousands of martial artists from all over the world causing a ruckus in Sang Jing. By moving the assessment to Jin Ye City, we can let these people cause trouble for Xuanse.

”Second, when these martial artists get injured in Jin Ye City, their first choice for treatment will be Ye Xiu. We can secretly injure more of them. This will keep Ye Xiu so busy that he won’t have time to dwell on Kuroki Suzu’s status as an undercover agent. Furthermore, with a large number of injured people seeking treatment from Ye Xiu, conflicts are bound to erupt. When Kuroki Suzu steps in to protect Ye Xiu, she’ll earn his trust that much faster.”

After listening, Yagyu Uemon and the others silently marveled at Mutou Bingyuan’s foresight.

Kuroki Suzu, however, was scoffing internally. Heh, Mutou, you old fool, you shouldn’t have invited me to this meeting. I’m going to tell Ye Xiu everything!

”Then what did you mean by ordering all of the Tiansha Association’s elite forces to mobilize?” Yagyu Uemon asked.

”The Dragon Master called me,” Mutou Bingyuan said. ”He gave me two tasks. First, investigate the cause of death for Long Bo and Dragon Hollyhock. Second, confirm whether Ye Xiu has a dragon-shaped pattern on his left arm. If he does, I am to capture him alive. If not, I am to kill him. If I can accomplish both tasks, the Tiansha Association will be allowed to return to the Long Family’s service.”

”Return to the Long Family?”

Upon hearing this, all Nine Serpent Heads became ecstatic.

”Confirming if Ye Xiu has a dragon-shaped pattern on his arm? That’s simple enough,” Yagyu Uemon said excitedly. ”I’ll personally capture him and strip him down to check. Investigating the deaths of Dragon Hollyhock and Long Bo shouldn’t be too difficult either.”

”Don’t be reckless. This Ye Xiu is an unpredictable character. It’s better to proceed with caution,” Mutou Bingyuan advised.

”Unpredictable? He’s just a Great Grandmaster who happens to be a Divine Doctor. What’s so unpredictable about him?” Yagyu Uemon scoffed.

With the exception of Kuroki Suzu, the others also held Ye Xiu in contempt.

”Nonsense! How many times have I told you not to underestimate any enemy, no matter who they are?” Mutou Bingyuan snapped.

”Think about it. Ye Xiu won Xuanse’s Medicine King title at sixteen and achieved the strength of a Great Grandmaster by twenty-six. Is that something an ordinary person can do?

”Furthermore, the two-hundred-million-gold bounty has been active for a long time, yet Ye Xiu remains completely unharmed. Is that normal? Even a War God couldn’t guarantee their safety against constant assassination attempts, stabbings, snipers, and poisoning from killers across the globe, yet Ye Xiu has.

”Most importantly, if Ye Xiu were just some common character, why would a behemoth like the Long Family be so insistent on knowing if he has a dragon-shaped pattern on his left arm?

”Besides, I’ve met him face-to-face. He’s an unpredictable opponent who doesn’t play by the rules, and his mind works in strange ways. Dealing with him won’t be easy.”
