Medical and Martial God

Chapter 181: Chapter 181 Meng Laoda, Are You Rebelling?

Ye Xiu was perplexed.

Luo Kun clearly possessed the strength of a War God, yet he hadn’t participated in the War God assessment. This was extremely abnormal! The Luo Family’s marital alliance with the Mu Family was based entirely on the Mu Family’s strength in Ancient Martial Arts. If Luo Kun had participated in the War God assessment and been promoted, the Luo Family would have had no reason to ally with the Mu Family, and Luo Kun wouldn’t have to marry someone doomed to die young.

At this moment, the name Mutou Bingyuan suddenly surfaced in Ye Xiu’s mind. Five years ago, Ye Xiu had gone to Sang Jing alone and struck down the leader of the Tiansha Association. It was also then that he had first met Mutou Bingyuan. Although he hadn’t seen him in the five years since, he had been keeping a secret watch on him.

And it was exactly five years ago that several things happened. Luo Kun was disfigured in a car accident, and after recovering in a short time, he went from being brain-damaged to a business prodigy. Furthermore, he went from a cultivation failure to a secret genius, acquiring the strength of a War God in just five years. Most importantly, the War God assessment venue had just been moved to Jin Ye City, bringing all of the Tiansha Association’s elites with it. And at this exact moment, Luo Kun showed up in Jin Ye City!

It was too much of a coincidence! It was too abnormal! An audacious hypothesis inevitably formed in Ye Xiu’s mind. After the Tiansha Association’s leader died five years ago, Mutou Bingyuan, terrified of being killed by Huang Quan, quietly left Sang Jing. He went to Xuanse, orchestrated the car crash that ruined Luo Kun, and then underwent plastic surgery to take on Luo Kun’s appearance. Then, using the identity of the Luo Family’s eldest young master, he secretly directed a counterfeit Mutou Bingyuan to control the Tiansha Association and the Rongfu Consortium. A very logical hypothesis!

However, a hypothesis was still just a hypothesis. He needed to find a way to prove it.

「On the other side!」

After getting into the car, Luo Kun’s childishly goofy expression turned grim. He said to the driver, who was the branch manager, ”Find some local thugs and get them to the Yuelan Grand Hotel as fast as possible. Have them wait there and give Yiexi You a good beating.”

”No problem. I have a good relationship with Meng Shaoxiong, a local big shot in Jin Ye City. Should I just ask him to go and cripple that guy for you?” the branch manager asked.

”Do it,” Luo Kun nodded. ”But tell him to be quick, preferably arriving at the Yuelan Grand Hotel before us. Also, have him pretend he doesn’t know us.”

”Okay!” The branch manager immediately took out his phone to call Meng Shaoxiong. After finishing the call, he said, ”Meng Shaoxiong is right near the Yuelan Grand Hotel; he’s bringing his men over now.”

”Mhm!” Luo Kun nodded and closed his eyes to rest.

「Forty minutes later!」

The Bentley and the Mercedes both arrived at the Yuelan Grand Hotel. From a good distance away, Luo Kun saw a dozen men already waiting in the parking lot.

After parking, Luo Kun eagerly got out of the car. He stood cheerfully by the vehicle, waiting to watch Yiexi You take a beating. The branch manager gave Meng Shaoxiong a knowing look, indicating that the target was the person in the Bentley nearby.

Meng Shaoxiong nodded and waved his hand. ”Drag the person out of that Bentley and beat him up!”

WHOOSH!

A dozen thugs armed with clubs charged toward the Bentley.

”What do you think you’re doing?” Ye Xiu asked with a puzzled look as he and Murong got out of the car and saw the thugs rushing toward them.

The thugs didn’t answer and lunged forward, about to swing their clubs at Ye Xiu. In fact, as residents of Jin Ye City, they would have known who Ye Xiu was. However, since he was wearing a mask, they didn’t recognize him.

But Meng Shaoxiong recognized Ye Xiu’s voice and screamed, ”Stop!”

The thugs’ clubs were just about to land on Ye Xiu when they heard Meng Shaoxiong’s command. They all froze, turning their heads in confusion toward him. That one glance startled them all. They saw Meng Shaoxiong’s face was ashen, with large beads of sweat cascading down like a waterfall, and his legs were trembling as if they were on springs!

What’s wrong with the boss?

Luo Kun and the branch manager were also puzzled, unable to understand why Meng Shaoxiong had suddenly ordered the thugs to stop and was acting like a completely different person.

”Boss Meng, are you trying to stage a rebellion?” Ye Xiu asked.

”No...” Meng Shaoxiong cried out, thudded to his knees, and scrambled over to Ye Xiu. ”No, no, no, I’m not rebelling! You... please, listen to my explanation...”

The branch manager was dumbfounded. Although he wasn’t from Jin Ye City, he had been here for half a year and knew very well that Meng Shaoxiong was the number one boss of the city’s Underworld. Yet at this moment, this very boss was kneeling before Yiexi You, as terrified as a dog. How strange! He had never heard that Meng Shaoxiong answered to anyone!

And Luo Kun, who had been enjoying the show, now wore an expression like he was constipated. He suddenly realized he had acted too rashly and had just shot himself in the foot.

”Speak clearly. What exactly is going on?” Ye Xiu asked.

Meng Shaoxiong pointed at the branch manager. ”It was him,” he said. ”Ren Wuliang called me and asked me to bring people to beat up the person in the Bentley. I didn’t know it was you!”

”Oh?” Ye Xiu narrowed his eyes at Luo Kun. It was painfully obvious that Ren Wuliang had contacted Meng Shaoxiong on Luo Kun’s orders.

”Luo Kun, I never thought you were this kind of person,” Murong said angrily, having also figured it out. ”I always thought that even though you were flippant and a smooth talker, you were still a good person. I never expected you to be so shameless as to resort to such despicable, underhanded schemes.”

”I’ve been wronged!” Luo Kun feigned ignorance, looking at Ren Wuliang. ”Mr. Ren, what is all this about?”

Ren Wuliang froze for a second, then instantly understood he had to take the fall for Luo Kun. ”I saw him with Miss Murong and wanted to vent some anger on the young master’s behalf,” he said. ”I didn’t discuss it with the young master beforehand. It’s my fault.”

SLAP!

Luo Kun slapped Ren Wuliang across the face and berated him, ”Nonsense! Murong is my fiancée! Even if other men like her, I will only compete fairly. What you did has implicated me in this unjust act!”

”Yes, yes, young master, I was wrong. I’ll never do it again,” Ren Wuliang apologized hurriedly.

”Murong, Yiexi You, I’m terribly sorry,” Luo Kun said, walking up to Ye Xiu and Murong with a look of feigned embarrassment and apology. ”This is my failure to discipline my subordinates. I truly knew nothing about this matter. Rest assured, I will deal with Ren Wuliang properly and give you both a satisfactory explanation.”

”I don’t need your explanation,” Ye Xiu said coldly. ”I never rely on others for things I can handle myself.” He turned to the kneeling man. ”Boss Meng. Cripple Ren Wuliang’s legs, then take him to the hospital.”

”Yes, sir!” Meng Shaoxiong replied coldly. ”Men, take Mr. Ren to the hospital.”

”Yes!” The dozen thugs, still dazed, finally reacted. They scurried over, dragged Ren Wuliang away, and followed Meng Shaoxiong.

Luo Kun watched it all unfold, a tempestuous rage surging within him. You’re supposed to consider the master before you beat his dog, yet Yiexi You had just ordered Ren Wuliang’s legs to be broken right in front of him. What an outrageous humiliation!
