100 Chapter 100: The Name That Was Never Silent 2026-10-14

The rain returned.

Not heavy.

Just enough to leave the streets shimmering beneath Seoul’s evening lights.

Guardian Network Headquarters had settled into an uneasy silence.

Nobody mentioned the Architect.

Nobody mentioned the Seven Watchers.

But everyone was thinking about them.

Dillan couldn’t concentrate.

He had spent the last hour staring at paperwork without reading a single word.

His mind kept replaying one sentence.

”You chose to forget.”

”…Why?”

He whispered.

”What was so dangerous…”

”…that I’d erase myself?”

No answer came.

Only the quiet ticking of the silver pocket watch.

Across the room…

Mira quietly watched him.

Not through a camera.

With her own eyes.

She had noticed something over the past week.

Whenever Dillan became lost in thought…

He unconsciously reached toward the same pocket.

The pocket containing the watch.

Almost…

As if checking it was still there.

Commander Yuna entered.

”Meeting.”

Everyone immediately gathered.

A holographic map appeared above the table.

”This isn’t about Gates.”

Dana frowned.

”…Then what?”

”It’s about surveillance.”

She tapped the display.

Hundreds of tiny blue dots appeared across Seoul.

Then…

Six red ones.

”Since yesterday…”

”Our field agents have reported being followed.”

Silence.

”By who?”

Dana asked.

Commander Yuna enlarged several photographs.

Blurry.

Dark.

Taken from long distances.

The same hooded figures.

Watching.

Never approaching.

Never attacking.

Just…

Watching.

Mira quietly spoke.

”…They’re learning.”

Commander Yuna looked toward her.

”What makes you say that?”

”They’re closer.”

The next image appeared.

Yesterday.

The Watcher had been across the street.

Today’s photograph…

Showed one standing at the opposite end of the same hallway.

Only thirty meters away.

”They’re shrinking the distance.”

Nobody liked hearing that.

Meanwhile…

Outside headquarters…

Sasha waited beneath a nearby tree.

She wasn’t waiting for Dillan.

Not intentionally.

She had simply finished work early.

She smiled to herself.

”…Maybe we could get coffee…”

Then…

Her smile disappeared.

Someone stood across the street.

Watching her.

Not hooded.

A woman.

Elegant black dress.

Long silver earrings.

Perfect posture.

She smiled politely.

Then walked away without saying a word.

Sasha’s heartbeat quickened.

”…No…”

She whispered.

”…They sent her?”

Back inside…

Lyra suddenly looked toward the window.

”…Something’s wrong.”

Commander Yuna immediately noticed.

”What?”

Lyra’s expression hardened.

”…Sasha.”

Dillan was already moving.

”What about Sasha?”

”I can’t explain.”

”…Go.”

That was all he needed to hear.

He ran.

Dana followed.

Then Sera.

Then everyone else.

Outside…

Sasha had already left the sidewalk.

She followed the mysterious woman through narrow streets.

Not because she wanted to.

Because…

The woman had whispered one sentence while passing.

”Your father knows.”

That was enough.

Five minutes later…

The woman entered an abandoned church.

Sasha stepped inside cautiously.

Dust floated through broken sunlight.

Old wooden pews stood untouched.

Silence filled the building.

”…You came.”

The elegant woman stepped from behind a pillar.

She couldn’t have been older than thirty.

Beautiful.

Calm.

Dangerously composed.

”…Who are you?”

Sasha asked.

The woman smiled.

”…My name isn’t important.”

”…My purpose is.”

She slowly removed a white glove.

Revealing a ring engraved with the same symbol found inside Dillan’s pocket watch.

Sasha’s eyes widened.

”…Where did you get that?”

”…The Board.”

Silence.

”…We’re reclaiming what belongs to us.”

”…Dillan doesn’t belong to anyone.”

The woman’s smile widened slightly.

”…Neither did you.”

At that exact moment…

Dillan burst through the church doors.

”Sasha!”

She turned immediately.

Relief flashed across her face.

”Dillan…”

The elegant woman calmly looked between them.

”…So.”

”…This is the boy.”

She studied Dillan for several seconds.

Then smiled.

”…No wonder.”

”…What do you want?”

Dillan asked.

The woman ignored him.

Instead…

She looked at Sasha.

”…One last chance.”

”…Come home.”

”…No.”

”…Then…”

Her smile vanished.

”…The Board will proceed without your permission.”

A pressure unlike anything Dillan had ever felt exploded inside the church.

Every stained-glass window shattered simultaneously.

CRASH!

Dana and Commander Yuna rushed through the entrance.

Weapons drawn.

Sera immediately raised barriers around everyone.

The elegant woman didn’t even flinch.

She looked directly at Dillan.

Then…

For the first time…

She spoke his name.

Not ”Dillan.”

Not ”Ruren.”

Something else.

A name no one recognized.

The moment the strange name left her lips…

The pocket watch inside Dillan’s jacket violently began to tick.

Tick.

Faster.

The System erupted before his eyes.

[■■ CRITICAL WARNING ■■]

[TRUE NAME DETECTION ATTEMPT BLOCKED.]

[MEMORY SEAL DEFENDING.]

The elegant woman’s eyes narrowed.

”…Interesting.”

She smiled once more.

”…Even now…”

”…You refuse to remember.”

The air around her distorted.

Like heat rising from stone.

Then…

She disappeared.

Not fleeing.

Simply…

Stepping somewhere else.

Leaving only silence…

And one terrifying question hanging over everyone.

What was the name she almost spoke?

Silence.

Glass continued falling from the church ceiling.

Tiny fragments sparkled across the old wooden floor.

Nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

The elegant woman was gone.

As though she had never entered the church.

Only the cold pressure she had left behind proved she had ever been there.

”Dillan!”

Sera reached him first.

Emerald healing light surrounded his body.

”…Are you hurt?”

He slowly shook his head.

”…No…”

His hand instinctively reached into his jacket.

The pocket watch.

Still ticking.

Faster than before.

Tick.

Almost…

Like a racing heartbeat.

Commander Yuna searched the entire church.

Every room.

Every hallway.

Nothing.

She returned several minutes later.

”…No exit.”

Dana frowned.

”…That’s impossible.”

”There are only two entrances.”

”And both were covered.”

Dr. Yeon lowered her scanner.

”…No teleportation signature.”

”…Again.”

Nobody liked hearing that word anymore.

Lyra quietly stood in the center of the church.

Her silver eyes remained closed.

She wasn’t searching for mana.

She was listening.

To the Resonance Field.

Then…

Very softly…

”…She wasn’t lying.”

Commander Yuna looked toward her.

”…About what?”

”…She knows his true name.”

Silence.

Dillan slowly looked toward Lyra.

”…You think there really is another name?”

Lyra opened her eyes.

”…I know there is.”

”…Every Anchor…”

”…Has two names.”

”…The one the world gives.”

”…And the one reality remembers.”

His chest tightened.

”…And mine?”

She looked at him sadly.

”…Is sealed.”

Sasha remained unusually quiet.

She stared at the shattered stained-glass windows.

Her hands had slowly clenched into fists.

Dillan noticed immediately.

”…Sasha?”

She blinked.

Almost as though waking from somewhere else.

”…I’m fine.”

He frowned.

”No.”

”…You’re not.”

She forced a small smile.

”…I’m just…”

She lowered her eyes.

”…Tired.”

It was a lie.

A gentle one.

But a lie nonetheless.

Lyra noticed.

So did Sera.

The team returned to headquarters before sunset.

No one felt like talking.

The church incident lingered over them like a shadow.

That evening…

Mira quietly reviewed satellite images of the abandoned church.

Every frame looked normal.

Until…

Exactly 3:42 P.M.

The moment the elegant woman had spoken.

One frame.

Just one.

Captured something impossible.

Not the woman.

Not Dillan.

The sky.

A gigantic circular symbol had briefly appeared above the church.

Invisible to the human eye.

Perfectly visible from orbit.

Seven concentric rings.

Each connected by countless ancient runes.

At the center…

A single eye.

”…Commander.”

Mira’s voice was unusually tense.

”You need to see this.”

Meanwhile…

Sasha sat alone in her apartment.

The lights remained off.

She quietly opened an old wooden box hidden beneath her bed.

Inside rested dozens of childhood keepsakes.

A dried flower.

A train ticket.

A tiny marble.

Letters.

Drawings.

And…

A photograph.

Two children beneath an oak tree.

She gently traced Dillan’s smiling face with one finger.

”…I won’t let them take you.”

She whispered.

”…Not again.”

Her phone vibrated.

One message.

Unknown sender.

She already knew who it was.

She opened it.

Only one sentence.

The Third Seat has arrived in Seoul.

Her breathing stopped.

”…Already…?”

Another message appeared.

You have seventy-two hours.

Then the messages erased themselves.

Sasha quietly closed her eyes.

For the first time since returning…

She looked afraid.

Not for herself.

For Dillan.

Across the city…

Chairman Gamilo stood inside the underground chamber once more.

The first lock glowed.

The second lock pulsed faintly.

A man entered quietly.

Not the secretary.

Someone else.

Older.

Wearing an immaculate white suit.

”…Chairman.”

The old man bowed respectfully.

”…The Third Seat has entered Korea.”

Chairman Gamilo nodded.

”…As expected.”

”…Shall we stop him?”

”…No.”

The Chairman looked toward the enormous stone door.

”…Nobody stops a Seat.”

”…Not anymore.”

Guardian Network Headquarters.

Near midnight.

Dillan couldn’t sleep.

Again.

He wandered through the empty hallways.

Eventually finding himself in the library.

The same old bookshelf.

The same quiet atmosphere.

Then…

He noticed a book lying open on a table.

He was certain it hadn’t been there earlier.

Curious…

He approached.

The page already lay open.

Waiting.

There was only one sentence written in faded ink.

Names are cages.

Dillan frowned.

He slowly turned the page.

Another sentence.

Yours was locked… because you asked for it.

His heart skipped.

He turned another page.

Blank.

Then…

Letters slowly began appearing.

One after another.

As though an invisible hand was writing.

Don’t let them speak your true name.

The library lights suddenly flickered.

The temperature dropped sharply.

The System appeared instantly.

[■■ EMERGENCY WARNING ■■]

[TRUE NAME INVOCATION DETECTED.]

[SOURCE UNKNOWN.]

A whisper echoed from somewhere deep between the bookshelves.

Soft.

Patient.

Ancient.

”…Found you.”

Dillan spun around.

Nobody.

Only endless rows of books.

Then…

From the darkness between two shelves…

A pair of glowing golden eyes slowly opened.

Watching him.

Unblinking.

The voice spoke once more.

”…This time…”

”…I won’t forget your name.”
