The notebook slipped from Dillan’s hands.

It landed softly on the desk.

He didn’t pick it up.

His eyes remained fixed on the final sentence.

I wrote this for you.

”...No...”

His voice barely existed.

”...That’s my handwriting.”

He picked the notebook up again.

Compared the letters to the notes he’d written earlier that week.

Every curve.

Every stroke.

Every habit.

Identical.

There was no mistake.

Someone...

Or something...

Had written this years ago.

And that someone...

Was him.

His fingers slowly turned another page.

Another sentence waited.

Short.

Simple.

Almost comforting.

If you’re scared... good.

That means you’re still thinking.

Dillan frowned.

”...What does that even mean?”

He continued reading.

Another page.

You won’t understand everything immediately.

Don’t force your memories.

Trust the people who stayed.

He stopped.

”The people...”

His mind immediately drifted to Dana.

Sera.

Mira.

Commander Yuna.

Lyra.

Then...

Sasha.

”...Stayed...”

The next page contained only one sentence.

Written larger than the others.

If Sasha is still waiting...

Don’t make her wait again.

Dillan slowly closed the notebook.

His throat tightened.

”...I really...”

”...Wrote this?”

The following morning...

He carried both the notebook and the pocket watch to Guardian Network Headquarters.

Commander Yuna called everyone into the conference room after hearing his message.

The notebook lay open in the center of the table.

Nobody touched it.

”...It’s definitely your handwriting.”

Mira finally confirmed.

”I compared it.”

Dr. Yeon looked confused.

”...How old is the paper?”

”I tested it.”

She displayed the laboratory results.

The room immediately fell silent.

”...That’s impossible.”

Dana looked toward the screen.

”...How old?”

Dr. Yeon swallowed.

”...Approximately...”

”...Twenty-three years.”

Silence.

Dillan frowned.

”...I’m twenty-two.”

”...Exactly.”

Nobody said another word.

Dr. Yeon changed the slide.

”The notebook is older than Dillan himself.”

”...Yet...”

She pointed toward the handwriting.

”...The ink is only a few years old.”

Commander Yuna rubbed her forehead.

”...I officially hate this mystery.”

Dana quietly nodded.

”...Same.”

Across the table...

Lyra stared only at the notebook.

”...Time doesn’t agree with itself.”

Everyone looked toward her.

”...Someone...”

She whispered.

”...Wrote yesterday...”

”...Into yesterday’s yesterday.”

Nobody understood.

Except...

The pocket watch.

It ticked once.

Almost as if agreeing.

Later that afternoon...

Sasha sat beside Dillan beneath the old tree inside headquarters.

He quietly handed her the notebook.

”...Read this.”

She accepted it carefully.

Her eyes slowly moved across the first pages.

Then...

She froze.

”...No...”

She whispered.

Her fingers began trembling.

”...What’s wrong?”

She slowly looked up.

”...This sentence...”

She pointed toward one line.

If Sasha is still waiting... don’t make her wait again.

A tear quietly rolled down her cheek.

”...You really wrote that.”

Dillan frowned.

”...You remember?”

She nodded.

”...Not the notebook.”

”...The words.”

”...You said them.”

Silence.

”...The day I left.”

Another memory flickered.

A train station.

A little girl crying uncontrollably.

Young Dillan desperately trying to make her smile.

”Even if I forget...”

”I’ll find you again.”

”I promise.”

”If you’re still waiting...”

”I won’t make you wait again.”

The memory lasted longer this time.

Nearly twenty seconds.

When it ended...

Dillan realized...

He was crying.

Without thinking...

Sasha gently wiped away one tear from his cheek.

”...See?”

She smiled softly.

”...You’re remembering.”

Neither of them noticed...

That Dana had quietly stopped walking nearby.

She had witnessed everything.

The memory.

The tears.

The gentle touch.

For the first time...

Something unfamiliar settled inside her chest.

Not anger.

Not jealousy.

Fear.

Because...

Dillan wasn’t just remembering Sasha.

He was slowly returning...

To the person he had been before any of them had met him.

That evening...

Commander Yuna received an encrypted report.

Priority: Highest.

Origin: Hunter Association Central Command.

She opened it.

One sentence immediately caught her attention.

Three unidentified individuals matching the description of the ”Watcher” have been sighted in different countries within the last 24 hours.

Another page.

Each appeared only before individuals classified as ”Anomalies.”

Another.

Every encounter ended with the same phrase.

Commander Yuna slowly read it aloud.

”The Locks are opening.”

She immediately stood.

”...Lyra.”

Lyra looked toward her.

”...There are more.”

Lyra’s expression slowly hardened.

”...Then...”

She whispered.

”...The Seven Watchers...”

”...Have finally awakened.”

The room fell silent.

Seven.

Not one.

Seven Watchers.

Watching seven different people.

Or perhaps...

Waiting for seven different doors to open.

Far away...

Beneath Layer Seven...

The hooded Watcher stood before six identical figures.

None of their faces could be seen.

None of them spoke.

The first Watcher quietly looked toward Earth.

Then lowered his head.

”...The First Lock has opened.”

One by one...

The remaining six Watchers slowly raised their heads.

And together...

For the very first time...

All seven golden eyes opened.

The room remained silent.

Nobody spoke after Lyra’s revelation.

Seven.

Not one.

Seven Watchers.

Commander Yuna slowly folded the report.

”...Explain.”

Lyra closed her eyes.

”I’ve never seen them.”

”But...”

”...I’ve heard their names.”

Everyone waited.

”In Layer Seven...”

”...there were stories.”

”Not about kings.”

”Not about gods.”

”...About witnesses.”

”Witnesses?”

Dana repeated.

Lyra nodded.

”They don’t rule.”

”They don’t interfere.”

”They simply...”

”...watch history unfold.”

Mira frowned.

”If they’re only observers...”

”...Why are they contacting Dillan?”

Lyra didn’t answer immediately.

When she finally did...

Her voice was quieter than before.

”...Because...”

”...History has started moving again.”

Elsewhere...

Far beyond Earth.

Beyond the seven dimensional layers.

A circular chamber floated inside endless darkness.

Seven stone thrones stood in perfect symmetry.

Each occupied.

Each cloaked.

Each hood hiding a face that no longer belonged to humanity.

The First Watcher stood.

”The First Lock.”

”...Has opened.”

Another Watcher slowly spoke.

”The Heart.”

A third.

”The Promise.”

A fourth.

”The Name...”

”...Remains sealed.”

Silence followed.

Then...

The Seventh Watcher finally lifted his head.

His voice sounded older than time itself.

”...The Anchor...”

”...is remembering.”

Every golden eye slowly closed.

As though...

That single sentence carried tremendous weight.

Guardian Network Headquarters.

Later that afternoon.

Dr. Yeon had already begun studying the notebook again.

”...This shouldn’t exist.”

She whispered for what felt like the hundredth time.

She carefully turned another page.

Blank.

Another.

Blank.

Another.

Blank.

”...That’s strange.”

Dillan looked over.

”What?”

”The messages stopped.”

He frowned.

”They only filled the first pages.”

”...No.”

She quietly rotated the notebook.

”The pages...”

”...are changing.”

Before everyone’s eyes...

Tiny lines of ink slowly spread across the empty paper.

Letter by letter.

Sentence by sentence.

As though someone invisible were writing in real time.

Nobody breathed.

The message slowly completed itself.

Good.

You found the notebook.

Don’t show this to the Watchers.

Silence.

Then...

Another line appeared.

They’re not your enemies.

But they aren’t your friends either.

Dana instinctively stepped backward.

”...It’s writing itself.”

Nobody disagreed.

The pen on the table suddenly rolled by itself.

Stopped beside Dillan.

The next sentence appeared.

Write your name.

Dillan stared.

Commander Yuna immediately spoke.

”...Don’t.”

Lyra quietly added,

”...Wait.”

The notebook remained open.

Patient.

Waiting.

Dillan looked toward everyone.

”...What if it’s really me?”

Commander Yuna shook her head.

”...And what if it isn’t?”

The room fell silent again.

Finally...

Dillan reached for the pen.

Every person in the room instinctively tensed.

He slowly lowered the pen toward the page.

Then stopped.

”...No.”

He placed it back on the table.

”...Until I know what’s happening...”

”...I’m not writing anything.”

The notebook immediately snapped shut.

SLAM.

Every light inside the room flickered.

Then stabilized.

Dr. Yeon slowly exhaled.

”...I think...”

”...It just approved.”

Meanwhile...

Across the city...

Sasha stood inside an old train station.

Not Platform Zero.

A real station.

She quietly looked at trains arriving and departing.

People reunited.

People separated.

Life continued.

She gently smiled.

”...You finally remembered the station.”

She whispered.

Then reached into her bag.

Removing a tiny object wrapped carefully in cloth.

She unfolded it.

Inside...

A second paper crane.

Blue.

Older than the white one Dillan carried.

”...You made two.”

She smiled sadly.

”...You said...”

”...One stays with you.”

”...One stays with me.”

She carefully folded the cloth again.

”...I kept mine.”

Behind her...

Someone spoke.

”...Miss Gamilo.”

She immediately turned.

A man in a black suit stood several meters away.

Chairman Gamilo’s personal secretary.

”...The Chairman requests your return.”

Sasha’s expression remained calm.

”...Tell Father...”

”...No.”

”He expected that answer.”

The secretary replied.

”He asked me to deliver one message.”

Silence.

The secretary looked directly into her crimson eyes.

”...If Dillan Ruren continues remembering...”

”...The Board will intervene.”

Sasha’s gentle smile disappeared.

”...Let them try.”

The secretary bowed once.

Then quietly walked away.

Back at headquarters...

Night slowly settled over Seoul.

Dillan sat alone in his room.

The notebook rested before him.

He hadn’t opened it again.

He wasn’t sure he wanted to.

The pocket watch ticked quietly beside it.

4:19.

Still moving.

Still counting.

Then...

Without warning...

The watch stopped.

Exactly at...

4:20.

The second hand froze.

The room became unnaturally cold.

The System instantly appeared.

[WARNING.]

[SECOND LOCK RESPONDING.]

Before Dillan could react...

Every light in the apartment went out.

Darkness swallowed the room.

Only the watch remained visible.

Its hands...

Slowly began moving backward.

4:20...

4:19...

4:18...

Somewhere within the darkness...

A familiar ancient voice whispered,

”Do you remember...

...the day you chose to forget?”

Dillan’s heart stopped.

Because...

He didn’t know whether the voice belonged to the Watcher...

Or himself.
