Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 811, Confronting the Ancient God Head-On

Translator: Silavin

[This! This is actually an Ancient God!?]

Lu Fan’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

[To think this Secret Realm held such a massive secret! To think that an Ancient God lay dormant here!!]

If it were an existence similar to the Fallen Corpse Ancient God, Lu Fan definitely would have turned tail and ran without hesitation.

However, the Ancient God before him was not one with such a high degree of awakening.

Its Level was merely at 150, which, at most, just reached the standard of Sixth Profession Change.

In other words, it possessed the power of a Divinity Being, but was not as overwhelmingly powerful as the other Ancient Gods. It was not so strong as to seem utterly undefeatable!

Against a Level 150 Ancient God, Lu Fan still believed he had a chance.

Moreover, discovering this Ancient God now was an incredibly fortunate matter.

Currently, this Ancient God was merely in its Larval Phase. It was similar to the Divine Bone Ancient God that had emerged prematurely in the past.

As long as he killed it now, then for at least several million years, it would be impossible for it to cause chaos again.

In this way, out of the total 36 Ancient Gods, Humanity would only need to face at most 34 in the future.

Although the power and number of Ancient Gods still made one feel deep despair, if he could kill this Ancient God now while it was still weak, at least Humanity would be spared from one calamity.

If this Abyssal Ancient God also awakened and emerged like the Fallen Corpse Ancient God and the Holy Mountain Ancient God, what kind of scene would play out in the world? It was truly impossible to imagine.

Just as its description stated, it would likely transform the world into an eternally fallen abyss.

[This Ancient God absolutely cannot be allowed to live!]

At this moment, Lu Fan couldn’t concern himself with why Ouyang Bai Ge had sent him to this place, where he just happened to encounter an Ancient God.

The only thing he wanted to do now was kill this Ancient God!

“Little ones, time to get to work!” Lu Fan roared in a low voice, then his body expanded as he directly transformed into his Golden Dragon King Form, gaining extremely high Defensive capabilities.

Dragon after Dragon was summoned from the water crystal sphere to this location. In an instant, the temple resounded with continuous Dragon Roars.

Lu Fan not only equipped Xiao Zuo, Xiao You and the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, but he also had Xiao Cui directly attached to his body in her Soul Light Form, pushing his own Attributes to their peak. Now, all Four Attributes simultaneously broke through thirty million!

Following that, Lu Fan used his newly acquired equipment, the Golden Crow Spirit Ring, and directly summoned forth a Golden Crow.

As flames shot skyward, a Golden Crow was summoned.

Its Attributes were identical to Lu Fan’s current Attributes, with power reaching an extreme level!

In terms of pure Attributes alone, probably among all the Pet Dragons present, not a single one could compare with it.

However, while Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons’ had Lower Attributes, their true advantage lay in their Skills.

Therefore, in terms of actual Combat Power, the Golden Crow was still at the bottom among Lu Fan’s Pets. However, it could at least still barely keep up with Lu Fan’s current level of battle.

After all preparations were complete, Lu Fan directly had the Golden Crow use Heaven Scorching Divine Fire, summoning countless fire rain that crashed down upon the Abyssal Ancient God on the elevated platform.

Immediately, the sky-filling fire rain fell like meteors, carrying dazzling firelight as they smashed down, exploding upon landing on the Abyssal Ancient God. There, thunderous sounds played out as flames engulfed the region.

Those tentacles clearly felt pain and began frantically writhing, like a massive octopus.

The tentacles now also detected Lu Fan’s presence. All the tentacles began attacking Lu Fan.

As tentacle after tentacle lashed out, they nearly shattered space itself, their power evident at a glance.

Even compared to those Level 150 tentacles in the crystal sphere, the Abyssal Ancient God’s main body was vastly superior.

Facing these tentacle attacks, Lu Fan absolutely could not ignore them as he had with the tentacles inside the crystal sphere.

Lu Fan directly spread his wings and flew, intending to use his High Defence to hold off these tentacles and see whether he could withstand them.

*Bang!*

A tentacle viciously slapped against Lu Fan’s body, and he felt a sharp pain.

However, this pain was still tolerable. It was only slightly stronger than the Ancient God Shadow Guards. In his Golden Dragon King Form, Lu Fan could still take it.

Having confirmed a portion of the opponent’s strength, Lu Fan felt reassured.

He led the Golden Crow directly to the frontline, blocking the opponent’s attacks while having his Pet Dragons launch an offensive against the Abyssal Ancient God.

In an instant, all of Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons began releasing Skills.

Various Skills bombarded down upon the Abyssal Ancient God’s body, making it suffer unbearable pain.

In comparison, its body was extremely resilient.

Those tentacles inside the crystal sphere generally had low Health Pools and Defence. Basically, the Pet Dragons could easily insta-kill them with one Skill.

But the tentacles here were each incredibly tough. Even when bombarded by Skills, they did not show obvious injuries.

However, judging from the continuously writhing body, one could tell that the Pet Dragons’ attacks still had some effect. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have such a strong reaction, lashing out with countless tentacles to clash directly with Lu Fan and the other Pet Dragons.

Lu Fan knew well that even though the opponent was merely an Ancient God in its Larval Phase, it absolutely could not be underestimated. Naturally, it would also not be defeated so easily.

Therefore, he did not seek a quick elimination of this Ancient God. As long as he could ultimately defeat it and prevent it from appearing for a million years, that would be enough.

This battle would most likely be a war of attrition. Even though Lu Fan currently possessed the absolute advantage, he could not be hasty, and even less, he could not underestimate this Ancient God. He must proceed steadily and surely to win this battle.

This Abyssal Ancient God seemed to have too low a degree of awakening. Many of its original Skills could not be deployed, and it could only launch attacks purely through its tentacles. Thus, its method of attack was extremely simple and straightforward.

Even though its body was particularly resilient and its Attack Power was high, under Lu Fan’s careful handling, it was clearly at a disadvantage. Facing attacks from Lu Fan, ten Pet Dragons, and one Golden Crow, it had no ability to fight back.

Lu Fan finally discovered that the opponent indeed was not that strong. Although its Defence was absurdly high, he and his Pet Dragons still did Damage. Some tentacles were shattered by Skills and could not regenerate quickly for the time being.

[As long as it can be injured, this would be easy to handle.]

Giant Dragons were a race born for battle. They fundamentally were not afraid of prolonged warfare.

Just as Lu Fan was planning to press forward in one go and eliminate this Ancient God, a consciousness transmitted through spiritual vibration, causing a voice to appear in Lu Fan’s mind. “Filthy ant! How despicable of you! To actually fight me while I’m still dormant!”

Upon hearing this, Lu Fan laughed and loudly mocked. “Against a Demon like you, do I need to concern myself with any principles of honour? As long as I can kill you, any method is fine!”
