Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 483: Chapter 482: Fiona Sutton, Do You Dare?

Fiona Sutton grabbed the bathroom door, refusing to go in. ”She’s gone too far! I’m not going to work at Star Media!” she declared, pouting, her words laced with anger.

”Alright, alright, you don’t have to go,” Yancy Hastings urged, but her strength was surprisingly great.

”But you’re the one making it impossible for me to find a job!” Fiona’s expression suddenly changed, and she started pounding on his bare chest. ”It’s all your fault! All your fault! You’re so classless! I’ll fight you!” she yelled, feigning a drunken tantrum.

Yancy Hastings frowned and grabbed her flailing hands. Her strength might be considerable among women, but before him, she was like a child.

”Stop flailing!”

Yancy Hastings scratched his buzz cut in annoyance, then picked her up with one hand and tossed her into the bathroom.

”Don’t come out until you’re clean! Damn it, you actually dared to feign drunkenness before me!”

With a BANG, Yancy Hastings slammed the bathroom door shut.

Inside the bathroom, Fiona blinked, the initial muddle-headedness gone.

How did he know she was feigning drunkenness? she wondered. Well, if she hadn’t pretended to be drunk, would she have dared to hit him? As shrewd as Yancy Hastings was, how could he not see through her little act?

But her minor struggles were merely a tickle to him; he didn’t care.

”Hand out your clothes; I’ll have the hotel dry them,” Yancy Hastings said from outside the bathroom. After a long moment, Fiona passed out her dripping wet clothes.

Seeing her snow-white arm, Yancy Hastings felt his throat tighten, and he coughed awkwardly.

Fiona took a full half-hour to wash, finally dawdling out wrapped in a bath towel. She was completely bare underneath, feeling exceptionally insecure.

”The clothes haven’t been sent over yet?” Fiona’s smile was a little stiff as she looked at Yancy Hastings sitting on the large bed. She stood there awkwardly, unsure what to do.

”Mm, probably still a little while longer.”

Yancy Hastings reached out and turned on the TV, watching Fiona stand there, clearly embarrassed.

”What’s wrong? You have moments when you’re scared too?”

The corners of Yancy Hastings’s lips curled up slightly. It seemed that every time he saw that expression on her face, he found it particularly amusing.

”You... You’re the one who’s scared! How could *I* possibly be afraid?”

Provoked by his words, Fiona immediately put on a defiant expression, strode over to the large bed, and sat down.

”Let’s talk business,” Fiona said, looking at Yancy Hastings not far away and raising an eyebrow. ”Tell me, what exactly will it take for you to let me go? I’m still planning to find a job to support myself. What you’re doing is too much!”

Is she really not afraid? Yancy Hastings didn’t believe it for a second.

”If you sleep with me for one night, I’ll let you go. Do you dare?”

Just that one sentence changed Yancy Hastings’s entire life.

Years later, Fiona Sutton once asked him if, given another chance that night, he would still have said those words.

Yancy Hastings’s answer was that he would have done so with utmost pleasure. If he had known then what the future held, he wouldn’t just have hoped to say those words, but also to treat her even better afterward.

However, some things, once they happen, cannot be erased.

”What wouldn’t I dare to do!”

Fiona was furious. Provocations like this always worked best on someone with her temperament.

As soon as the words left her mouth, Fiona stood up. Before Yancy Hastings could react, she pounced on him, pressing her lips against his cool, firm ones.

The unique masculine scent washed over her. He carried an aura she deeply admired. Soldiers—that was an admiration etched into her very soul.
