Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 452: Chapter 451: I’ll Make You Unable to Win

A robust voice echoed through the whole courtyard. Just hearing it brought an idiom to mind: Strong in old age!

Annie Davidson stiffened all over, instantly frozen in place.

A flock of crows flew by, CAW, CAW, CAW, as the completely petrified Annie Davidson finally managed to turn around and regain her senses.

How can this be!

Annie forced a smile onto her face, not realizing just how fake it probably looked.

”Hmph! Finally decided to come back, did you?”

Grandpa Davidson glanced coldly at Annie, and then turned his head away, ignoring her like a grumpy child.

”Oh dear, Grandpa, I’ve missed you.”

Annie immediately ran over, grabbing hold of her grandpa’s arm.

”Grandpa, you don’t know how much I’ve missed you while I was away. So here I am, just got off the plane.”

Annie pouted, pointing towards her suitcase.

”As long as you’re back. It’s almost dinner time; let’s have a drink tonight, just the two of us.”

Grandpa Davidson’s disgruntled expression vanished, replaced instantly by a cheerful smile.

Annie’s mouth twitched. Have a drink?

”No, Grandpa, I’ve quit drinking.”

Annie asserted, nodding vigorously, tears welling in her eyes.

Her life motto was: never ever drink with your grandpa.

Well, it used to be: never ever practice martial arts with your grandpa.

...

Anyway, all her mottos revolved around her grandpa.

”What? How could you quit drinking?”

Upon hearing Annie’s words, Grandpa Davidson instantly grew unhappy.

In his words, wine is the soul of a martial artist.

How can a martial artist quit drinking?

”Let me tell you, now that you’re back, that arranged marriage the family set up last time is back on the agenda. You’re not escaping this time.”

After finishing his words, Grandpa Davidson glanced at all his disciples in the courtyard.

”If any of you let Eldest Sister out, I’ll make you suffer!”

The courtyard fell silent as everyone subconsciously swallowed hard.

Grandmaster, oh Grandmaster, even when we do nothing, you’re always threatening to make us suffer every day.

Now that you’re saying this, aren’t you basically signing our death warrants?

That’s Eldest Sister we’re talking about! Who could possibly stop her?

Even setting aside the question of whether anyone *could* stop her, would they even dare to try?

”Go back!”

Grandpa Davidson was capricious. One moment he was all laughs and smiles like a child, and the next, he wore a serious face, sternly looking at Annie standing in front of him.

Annie was rendered speechless.

”Oh.”

Dragging her suitcase, Annie walked across the yard, back to her own room.

Far away at MC Group, Owen Lewis racked his brains but couldn’t possibly imagine that Annie had returned to the Davidson’s Martial Arts Academy.

After all, Annie had originally left the Davidson family to escape that arranged marriage.

Later, after investigating, he learned about the temper of the head of the Davidson family—Annie’s grandfather—which made him strongly believe that no matter where Annie hid, in whatever remote corner of the world, she wouldn’t return to the Davidson’s Martial Arts Academy.

Time slowly passed as he anxiously waited. Before he knew it, it was five o’clock, the end of the workday for MC Group.

”Special Assistant Lewis, it’s time to leave work.”

Nia Mitchell had already been waiting in the office for an extra ten minutes, but Owen Lewis showed no signs of leaving.

He isn’t planning to work overtime, is he?

But today is his first day on the job; there shouldn’t be anything that urgent.

At this moment, the hidden elevator opened, and Maxwell Peary stepped out leisurely, briefcase in hand.
