Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 473: Chapter 472: Being Threatened

Biological father?

Can these four pale words truly justify learning about something so devastating as a matter of course?

No!

Shirley Grant shook her head, turning to look at Gerry Peary’s face.

”He wouldn’t want to know about this. Besides, Gerry isn’t a healthy child right now. It’s best if he remains in the dark.”

Shirley Grant’s complexion was hardly better than Gerry Peary’s, and her eyes were also red-rimmed.

Seeing her like this, Ethan Martinez sighed softly.

”Should I tell Mom and Dad?”

How can she take care of Gerry all by herself?

”There’s no need. I’ve already made it through the hardest times.”

Now, no matter what happens, she can endure it.

As long as... as long as Gerry is okay.

Ethan Martinez hesitated for a moment but said nothing more. Since she had already made her decision, he had no right to try and change it.

Without another word, he simply stayed and kept them company.

「The next day—」

On every street and alley, on television and in newspapers, everyone was discussing Ethan Martinez.

The reason was simple: Ethan Martinez had rushed his child to the hospital late at night, and the story was accompanied by several blurry photographs.

The photographs were clearly taken outside the hospital. They showed Ethan Martinez, braving the pouring rain, holding a child in his arms. He and a doctor then placed the child on a stretcher, followed by several shots of their retreating figures as they headed into the hospital.

Thankfully, Shirley Grant was not visible in any of these photos.

”What’s going on?”

At Star Media, Ethan Martinez sat in a chair, his eyes closed.

There were faint dark circles under his eyes.

Clearly, he hadn’t slept well the previous night—or perhaps, he hadn’t slept at all.

Seeing his uncooperative demeanor, his agent was worried sick.

”Ethan, I know you’re a big star now, a prominent figure in the entertainment circle, but there are some lines you just can’t cross.”

Ethan Martinez had what could only be described as a brilliant future ahead of him; his next goal was to go international.

How could he mess up at such a critical time?

”Aren’t you supposed to be the best at handling these kinds of things? Besides, the photos are so blurry.”

Ethan Martinez didn’t even glance at his agent, keeping his eyes closed and feigning sleep.

Agent Luo was momentarily speechless, unsure how to counter that.

”But those previous incidents *were* indeed false; I knew all the inside details. Yet, with this, you refuse to tell me anything.”

Agent Luo was exasperated, deeply frustrated by Ethan’s uncooperative attitude.

Seeing Ethan Martinez remain silent, Agent Luo’s expression grew even fouler.

”Don’t tell me this report is true? Did you secretly get married, or have a child out of wedlock? Is this child actually yours?”

Looking at this photo, even though it’s blurry, the child looks to be at least five years old.

”Why are you asking so many questions? Just go handle it however you see fit! Is this ever going to end? I want to sleep!”

Ethan Martinez irritably cut him off, snatched the newspaper from Agent Luo’s hands, and threw it onto the floor.

Shifting his position as if to sleep, Ethan Martinez ignored Agent Luo’s expression.

Just then, EdbertNia Mitchell walked in. Seeing Ethan Martinez throwing a tantrum, his expression also turned sour.

”You’d better explain this clearly, or else it’s a breach of contract.”

Ethan Martinez’s eyes snapped open. He looked at EdbertNia Mitchell and then stood up.

”Breach of contract? Fine, let’s terminate it then. I can afford the penalty.”

Ethan Martinez’s reputation was already thoroughly established. Even if he wasn’t with Star Media, he could still flourish.

”Do you really think that after leaving Star Media, any other agency would dare to sign you?”
