Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 686: Chapter 685: Flame Eagle Beast

Ye Haochuan listened to the sincere plea of the Eldest Elder of the Fire Tree Human, nodding and saying, ”Release us, and I will treat you immediately.”

”No! Eldest Elder. Humans are cunning; if we release them, they will run away, and we won’t be able to catch up with them,” Yige interjected.

”Shut up... Yige... nobody... can cure... my disease, only he... can cure it, and therefore... even if it costs... my life... I’m willing... to risk it... esteemed... guest, I... believe... in you...”

The Eldest Elder slowly spoke.

”With those words alone, I will surely cure your disease,” Ye Haochuan confidently said.

”Eldest Elder...” Yige tried to speak again.

”Shut up...” The Eldest Elder twisted its trunk, releasing a mid-stage Innate Realm pressure.

Instantly, the tree roots binding Ye Haochuan and the other seven fell off.

”Oh...” Under the mid-stage Innate Realm pressure, Yige had no choice but to shut up.

”Respected... guest, I apologize for... my people’s... recklessness. Please treat... my... terminal illness,” the Eldest Elder pleaded again.

”There’s no need for apologies; it is also safeguarding its duty. I will now treat your withering disease,” Ye Haochuan said as he took out his needle bag from his storage space.

He stepped forward and gently touched the Eldest Elder’s withered trunk.

Ye Haochuan inserted a needle into the trunk of the Eldest Elder and asked, ”Do you feel anything?”

”There’s... no... feeling,” the Eldest Elder said disappointedly.

”How about now?” Ye Haochuan inserted another needle while infusing some Longevity Gang Qi.

”There’s a slight... feeling, like... a warm current... flowing through my body,” the Eldest Elder said in surprise.

Ye Haochuan knew his method was effective and quickly continued to needle the Eldest Elder while infusing Longevity Gang Qi.

The Longevity Gang Qi flowed through the trunk and veins of the Eldest Elder, and soon, it cleared the blocked stems and veins of the Eldest Elder.

”Comfortable, truly so comfortable. I haven’t felt this good in many years,” the Eldest Elder said joyfully, now speaking in a firm and coherent manner.

”Do you feel as though you’ve come back to life?” Ye Haochuan asked softly.

”Respected Divine Doctor, you’re right. How did you manage it? The Foundation Establishment Experts among your humans couldn’t achieve this,” the Eldest Elder asked excitedly.

Damn! Who am I? How could I be compared with others?

Ye Haochuan hummed proudly, but hearing him mention Foundation Establishment Experts, asked, ”The Foundation Establishment Experts couldn’t achieve this? What did he do?”

”He first fed me some healing medicines, then infused his True Qi into my body. Initially, this method worked quite well, and the withering slowed down, but later it became ineffective,” the Eldest Elder honestly said.

”His method treats the symptoms, not the root cause. He misjudged your condition. Your clan’s withering disease is not merely a disease but a blockage in your stem veins due to long-term absorption of fire elements. No matter how good the healing medicine, it’s futile,” Ye Haochuan said softly.

”So your treatment method is to clear our veins, right?” the Eldest Elder deduced.

Yes, it seems there are also intelligent beings among the Fire Tree Human. Indeed, capable of reaching the mid-stage of the Innate Realm, their intelligence is definitely not low.

Ye Haochuan nodded and said, ”Exactly, I cleared your blocked veins, and thus cured your withering disease. Now you can stretch your body and feel it.”

”Alright, I’ll try,” the Eldest Elder said excitedly.

It immediately began drawing water from deep underground, and as it slowly absorbed the water, its dry trunk began to regrow, and its previously bare branches started to sprout. The trunk quickly grew, becoming several times taller than Yige next to it.

”I’ve recovered, I have finally recovered. Respected guest, you’ve cured my disease and found a cure for our clan’s withering disease. You will receive our clan’s highest honors,” the Eldest Elder said excitedly, revitalized.

”There’s no need for pleasantries, we need to leave now. I have urgent matters to attend to,” Ye Haochuan said indifferently.

”Benefactor, I apologize for my rashness. Please leave your name so that our Fire Tree People can forever remember your kindness,” Yige respectfully said to Ye Haochuan.

”Ye Haochuan,” Ye Haochuan gave his name, ready to lead his group away.

Just at that moment, a strange fragrance emanated from near the Eldest Elder, its scent refreshing and elevating the spirit of anyone who smelled it, enhancing their Inner Breath.

What had matured? Could it be the holy object the Fire Tree People had always spoken of? Truly powerful—it even enhanced my Longevity Gang Qi just by smelling it, no wonder even those at the Foundation Establishment Stage coveted it.

Ye Haochuan thought regretfully, but there was no time to delay here anymore. The Hellfire people might have already reached the mine base. With the manpower at the mine base, they wouldn’t hold out for long.

Ye Haochuan and his companions prepared to leave immediately.

”Respected Divine Doctor, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait a bit longer,” the Eldest Elder hastily said.

”Why? Just because we now know that your tribe’s holy object has matured? Don’t forget that Senior Brother Ye just saved you,” Langfan spoke up.

”You misunderstand, I have no intention of harming or detaining you. It’s just that when our holy object matures, it emits a fragrance that the circling Flame Eagle Beasts in the sky have surely sensed and are about to descend to snatch,” the Eldest Elder sighed.

No sooner had he finished speaking than the sky suddenly grew dark.

”The Flame Eagle Beasts are attacking, protect the holy object.” Alerts were immediately issued by the Fire Tree People.

The entire forest of Fire Tree People awoke, opening their eyes and twisting their bodies, ready for battle.

The Flame Eagle Beasts attacked from the sky with claws and beaks, while the Fire Tree People counterattacked with their roots, whipping at the Flame Eagle Beasts.

Soon, hundreds of Flame Eagle Beasts were knocked down by the Fire Tree People and tightly bound by the roots.

However, more often than not, the Flame Eagle Beasts, able to fly and move, would snatch a clump and flee, leading to swathes of Fire Tree People falling.

”Fire Tree People, hand over the Fire Phoenix Grass and submit to us, and we will spare your lives,” a commanding voice came from above, issued by the Flame Eagle Beast King.

Damn, another Mid-Stage Innate Realm existence.

Ye Haochuan thought to himself, so the holy object of the Fire Tree People was the Fire Phoenix Grass, no wonder it sparked such a struggle. The Holy Hand’s memories recorded in the Divine Grass were suitable even for those at the Foundation Establishment Stage.

”Flame Eagle Beast King, you will not take the Fire Phoenix Grass from us, nor will you make us submit,” the Eldest Elder declared righteously.

”Then I’ll see just how long you can hold out... My children, continue the attack,” the Flame Eagle Beast King ordered.

Seeing the Fire Tree People steadily losing ground, the Eldest Elder stepped forward.

”Ten thousand tree people, Great Tree Defense,” the Eldest Elder demonstrated his cultivation technique.

The Eldest Elder’s roots burst from the ground, extending to the sky, densely packing and forming a barrier that temporarily held off the Flame Eagle Beasts’ assault.

”Eldest Elder, we lost over a thousand of our tribespeople in the first wave of the Flame Eagle Beasts’ attack. We can’t hold on much longer,” Yige said desperately.

”Yes. It seems this time the Flame Eagle Beasts are determined to seize our holy object and make our tribe submit. What should we do?” the Eldest Elder sighed.

”Why don’t we hand over the holy object to them, and submit to them?” Yige suggested.

”No, the holy object is our tribe’s supreme treasure, we can’t just hand it over so easily. We can’t submit to them either. Otherwise, how can we Fire Tree People establish ourselves in the Sub-Fire Dimension Realm? Wouldn’t that mean anyone can bully us? Even if it means fighting to our extinction, we must continue to battle,” the Eldest Elder declared resolutely.

”Yes, we fight to the end,” Yige and other Fire Tree People swore.

”Actually, you don’t have to fight to extinction, I do have a method that might solve the current crisis,” Ye Haochuan stepped forward, chuckling.
