Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 657: Chapter 656: Food Poisoning

Upon hearing that the Medicinal Cuisine Shop had run into some trouble, Ye Haochuan’s heart tightened, and he said calmly, ”Sister Mei, don’t panic. What happened?”

”It’s not easy to explain over the phone. Could you come to my office?” Xiao Haimei said anxiously.

”Okay, wait for me. I’ll be right there.” Ye Haochuan hung up the phone and headed to Xiao Haimei’s office.

When he arrived at Xiao Haimei’s office, before Ye Haochuan could even ask about the situation, Xiao Haimei threw herself into his arms, her expression panicked, ”Haochuan, what should we do? The Medicinal Cuisine Shop is in such big trouble.”

”Don’t worry, I’ve got this. I’ll handle it,” Ye Haochuan said as he gently patted Xiao Haimei’s back and soothed her softly, ”Sister Mei, tell me exactly what happened.”

Xiao Haimei, reassured by his comfort, gradually calmed down and said, ”The situation is, at the Medicinal Cuisine Shop’s East City District branch, customers experienced vomiting, convulsions, and abdominal muscle spasms after dining and were urgently taken to the nearby East City District Hospital. Later, rumors spread at the scene that the customers had food poisoning.”

Ye Haochuan said sternly, ”Rumors of food poisoning? Vomiting, convulsions, and certain levels of tenderness and abdominal spasms are not necessarily caused by food poisoning. Our Medicinal Cuisine Shop’s food couldn’t possibly be the problem, could it?”

Xiao Haimei continued, ”I also believe that our Medicinal Cuisine Shop’s food couldn’t possibly have issues. But now, the key issue is, Haishan TV Station followed up with a report, using the food poisoning narrative, which made the situation spiral out of control... Look!”

With that, she took out her phone and opened an online video.

In the video, a middle-aged man was rolling back and forth on the ground, foaming at the mouth, his body convulsing, clutching his stomach.

Then, a familiar figure appeared in the video—it was Wang Yan, whom Ye Haochuan recognized.

Damn, it’s her?

Seeing Wang Yan, Ye Haochuan suddenly felt something was off.

In the video on the phone, Wang Yan, holding a microphone, said, ”Dear viewers, this is a live news broadcast from Haishan TV Station. I am reporter Wang Yan. Today, our station received reports from the public that an incident of food poisoning occurred at the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop’s East City District branch. Customers dining at the Medicinal Cuisine Shop experienced vomiting, convulsions, and abdominal spasms after eating...”

Then, the camera moved to the side, revealing the Medicinal Cuisine Shop’s East City District branch sign.

The video then cut back to Wang Yan’s face.

She said gravely, ”The patient was immediately taken to the nearby hospital and is now in critical care. Our station will continue to monitor the food poisoning incident at the Medicinal Cuisine Shop.”

As soon as Xiao Haimei’s video ended, Ye Haochuan scoffed repeatedly, ”The moment the customer fell, she showed up! Damn, isn’t her appearance too coincidental?”

”You know this woman?” Xiao Haimei asked, puzzled.

Xiao Haimei asked in shock, ”Someone is trying to frame the Medicinal Cuisine Shop? What do we do now? How should we respond?”

Heh, ever since she followed me, from a strong woman, she turned into someone who panics easily in the face of problems and relies on me completely.

Ye Haochuan took great satisfaction in being relied upon by Xiao Haimei and gallantly said, ”Sister Mei, don’t be scared. I’m here to deal with it no matter what comes our way.”

Xiao Haimei leaned weakly against him, ”With you here, I’m naturally not scared.”

Ye Haochuan caressed Xiao Haimei’s face, asking, ”We should head to the hospital now... By the way, have you found out which hospital the patient was taken to?”

”Yes, the patient was taken to East City District Hospital,” Xiao Haimei replied.

”Then let’s go to the scene and handle this.”

Having said that, Ye Haochuan, along with Xiao Haimei, drove to the East City District Hospital.

...

East City District Hospital.

As soon as Ye Haochuan and Xiao Haimei arrived at the emergency room entrance, they saw Wang Yan speaking to the patient’s relatives about the food poisoning incident at the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop, doing her best to smear the restaurant’s name.

Wang Yan saw Ye Haochuan walking quickly towards them and said sarcastically, ”Look who’s here! Everyone, take a look, this man is the founder of Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop. Your relatives were food poisoned in his shop.”

The patients’ family members, fueled by emotion, surrounded Ye Haochuan.

Ye Haochuan hurriedly said, ”Everyone, please don’t be agitated, I’m here to resolve the issue. Please calm down!”

The patient’s son, Wang Yuelun, stepped forward angrily, ”My father was the one who got food poisoned at your shop, you owe us an explanation. Otherwise, today you’ll be leaving on your back!”

”Wait for the emergency doctors’ results to come out, and if it’s our Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop’s fault, I will definitely take responsibility,” Ye Haochuan stated responsibly.

The patient’s spouse, Li Dan, burst out, ”What are you trying to pull? You think you can dismiss us just by saying you’ll take responsibility? If anything happens to my husband, I will have your life in return.”

Xiao Haimei quickly stepped in front of Ye Haochuan, preventing Li Dan from pouncing on him.

”Ma’am, please calm down and let’s get the patient’s condition clarified first, we will definitely take responsibility,” Xiao Haimei soothed.

”Take responsibility? How can you possibly make up for it? If something happens to my husband, I will not let you off!” Li Dan, suddenly yelling at Ye Haochuan, said, ”You pretty boy, what kind of man hides behind a woman?”

God, why is this woman so irrational?

Ye Haochuan reiterated, ”Please calm down, our Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop will definitely see this through to the end.”

Just then, the emergency room doors swung open and Doctor Li came out, saying, ”Who is the patient’s family member?”

Wang Yuelun approached the doctor, ”I’m the patient’s son, how is my father now?”

Doctor Li told Wang Yuelun, ”The patient has stopped breathing, please accept my condolences!”

”What?” Both Li Dan and Wang Yuelun turned deathly pale.

Wang Yan caught on and pointed at Ye Haochuan, ”Your Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop treats human life as grass!”

Her words caused the family members at the scene to lose control of their emotions.

Li Dan rushed at Ye Haochuan, pounding on his body, ”It’s all because of you, pretty boy, devil, murderer, I want a life for a life for my husband.”

Wang Yuelun also surged forward, attempting to knock down Ye Haochuan, ”I will kill you to avenge my father!”

Ye Haochuan tried to calm the two, ”Please step aside and let me see the patient in the operating room, there might still be a chance to save him.”

Li Dan and Wang Yuelun were not listening to Ye Haochuan’s words. Wang Yuelun even threw a punch at Ye Haochuan’s face.

Ye Haochuan had no choice but to use his Innate Gang Qi to fend off Li Dan and Wang Yuelun, then he approached the emergency room doors and said to Doctor Li, ”Doctor, let me in to see the patient, I might be able to cure him.”

”The patient is already dead, you couldn’t bring him back even if you were a deity,” Doctor Li said sarcastically.

”Doctor, please let him try! He might really be able to bring the patient back,” Xiao Haimei added from the side.

Doctor Li continued, ”This is a hospital, not a place for you to play house! You think you’re Ye Haochuan from Haishan Hospital, the Junior Godly Doctor?”

Doctor Li had always known about a Junior Godly Doctor at Haishan Hospital, renowned for his medical skills, so he used Junior Godly Doctor Ye Haochuan’s name sarcastically.

Ye Haochuan declared, ”I am Ye Haochuan!”

Doctor Li appeared somewhat startled, ”You are Ye Haochuan? Just you?”

Ye Haochuan then threw his ID badge, hitting Doctor Li in the face, ”See for yourself!”

Doctor Li picked up the ID badge, and his knees went weak, heavens, he was really the Junior Godly Doctor Ye from Haishan University Affiliated Hospital!
