Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 665: Chapter 664 Greig Syndrome

Tang Zhen’s hands did not stop moving; for the sake of showing off in front of Old Master Kou and Kou Jing, he concentrated with all his might and reached the peak of his acupuncture skills.

More than ten minutes later, Tang Zhen slowly withdrew the needles.

The patient carefully felt the changes in his body while lying on the bed and then a look of joy enveloped his face.

”I’m cured, I’m really cured? Haha!” the patient exclaimed ecstatically, ”I’ve been tormented by this disease for over ten years, and to think that Doctor Tang cured me in just a matter of minutes. Divine Doctor, truly a Divine Doctor!”

Seeing the patient’s ruddy complexion and vibrant spirit, the guests couldn’t help but admire, ”Truly, a great teacher produces an outstanding student. Old Master Kou, you have a worthy successor!”

Old Master Kou smiled and nodded, his gaze towards Tang Zhen was full of satisfaction.

With all the surrounding praise, Tang Zhen felt himself floating on air, he cast a smug glance at Ye Haochuan, as if to say what you can do, I can do too!

Hey! This kid’s tail is shooting up to the sky, huh! If Little Master doesn’t put you in your place, you’ll really start thinking you’re the shit, won’t you?

Ye Haochuan smiled disdainfully and scanned the audience. His gaze finally rested on a middle-aged man sitting in a wheelchair.

”Sir, would you like to be cured of your illness?” Ye Haochuan asked in a very seductive tone.

”You can cure my disease?” The middle-aged man was thrilled, some disbelief in his voice.

He couldn’t help but be agitated; he had been sitting in a wheelchair for two years, and his body continued to deteriorate. The doctors had already given him his final notice, saying he had at most another year to live. He was already waiting for death, and now suddenly someone said they could cure him, it felt like a dream.

Seeing the person Ye Haochuan had chosen, Old Master Kou’s expression changed, and he said with a furrowed brow, ”Little Ye, you can’t cure President Li’s disease, you should pick someone else.”

”No need, I am confident I can cure him!” Ye Haochuan said confidently.

”Haha, ignorant boy. Do you even know what disease President Li has? Grelick’s syndrome, do you think you, a quack campus doctor, can cure that?” Tang Zhen mocked from the side.

”It’s actually Grelick’s syndrome? That’s one of the top five incurable diseases in the world. This kid is way too arrogant, daring to claim he can cure such a disease,” someone in the audience said in surprise.

”What? One of the top five incurable diseases? This kid is in for it, let’s see how he deals with this.”

The whole place started to buzz.

”Brother Tang Zhen, don’t think everyone is as incompetent as you, okay? Lou Gehrig’s disease is nothing, I’ll cure it in minutes just to show you,” Ye Haochuan said, undisturbed by the various doubts.

”Haha, in my twenty years of life, this is the first time I’ve seen someone so arrogant. If you can cure this disease, I, Tang Zhen, will retire from the medical field!” Tang Zhen bellowed.

”Whether you retire from the medical field or not, what does that have to do with me? If you say you’ll livestream eating shit if you lose, now that is something I’d actually look forward to,” Ye Haochuan chuckled.

”You...” Tang Zhen was so choked with anger that he didn’t know how to respond.

As soon as everyone heard the word ”eating shit,” they all felt disgusted. Those who had come to attend this birthday banquet were all people of distinguished status, and here was Ye Haochuan spouting such coarse and unpalatable words, truly a person with no class.

”You scoundrel, spouting nonsense. Old Kou, how could someone so coarse and baseless turn up at your birthday banquet?” An elder, close to sixty, suddenly stood up, his face full of anger as he got to his feet.

”And who are you?” The elder started with a scolding, and Ye Haochuan was very displeased.

”Hmph, you don’t even recognize me, and yet you dare to claim you can cure Lou Gehrig’s disease, it’s simply laughable!” the elder snorted.

”Are you famous? Why should I know you?” Ye Haochuan stared at the elder with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile.

”I...,” the old man’s face turned red with effort, as he huffed, ”Simply unreasonable!”

”Little Ye, this is my good friend Professor Huang. He has studied ALS for many years and has achieved significant success. Even when considering the whole world, he is at the forefront.” Seeing his old friend at a disadvantage, Elder Kou hurriedly explained.

”So it turns out to be Professor Huang, who considers himself the best doctor in the world. My apologies, my apologies!” Ye Haochuan suddenly said in a strange tone.

”When have I ever claimed to be the best doctor in the world? You, kid, stop making up nonsense,” Professor Huang retorted with a trembling voice.

”If you’re not the best in the world, then how do you know that the diseases you can’t cure, others definitely can’t cure either?” Ye Haochuan laughed with a sneer.

”Good, very good...” Elder Huang trembled with anger and said, ”Old Kou, if you let this youngster talk nonsense here, I think I’ll have to take my leave from your birthday banquet.”

Damn, this old guy, actually threatening me so blatantly?

Ye Haochuan watched Elder Kou with great interest, curious to see how he would handle the situation.

Elder Kou gave a wry smile and tried to soothe the situation, ”Elder Huang, calm down, please! This Doctor Ye is a friend of my granddaughter. Do me a favor and let this go...”

After hearing Elder Kou’s words, Professor Huang did not storm off but coldly snorted at Ye Haochuan and sat down with a disdainful expression.

Having calmed Professor Huang, Elder Kou then addressed everyone, ”Gentlemen, Doctor Ye possesses extraordinary medical skills. Perhaps he really can cure ALS. And even if he can’t, it’s still a very good attempt.”

With those words, Elder Kou not only gave Ye Haochuan face but also left him an out. Even if the cure didn’t work, there would be no loss of face.

Ye Haochuan smiled gratefully at Elder Kou and then slowly approached President Li.

”Hmph, I really want to see what tricks you have up your sleeve!” Tang Zhen snorted coldly from the side.

”Hehe, get ready for a live ’chi-shi’!” Ye Haochuan chuckled in response.

”If you cure it, you can do whatever you like. But if you don’t...” Tang Zhen snorted coldly, ”If you don’t, you’ll kneel down and give me a hundred loud kowtows, then get as far away as you can, and never appear in front of Kou Jing again.”

Tang Zhen considered himself a person of quality and did not stoop to saying words like ’chi-shi’.

Ye Haochuan smiled faintly, accepting the challenge.

”May I know what method Doctor Ye is planning to use to treat my illness? Is there anything I need to prepare?” President Li asked Ye Haochuan, full of hope.

”Indeed, there are some things to prepare!” Ye Haochuan replied, ”We need a wooden bath barrel, pine is best. Then a purple clay teapot and an iron pot, and set up two stoves, one big, one small.”

”Iron pot and stoves? Ye Haochuan, are you planning to cook for us?” Tang Zhen said with disdain, ”This hotel has hired renowned chefs from all over the country. It would be better if you didn’t embarrass yourself.”

”Haha...” Laughter erupted all around them for a moment.

”I’m going to have a herbal bath, if you don’t understand, then don’t blabber nonsense!” Ye Haochuan rolled his eyes at Tang Zhen.

”Herbal bath? Haha, you dare to bring up something that exists only in history books?” Tang Zhen said with contempt.

”What is a herbal bath?” President Li asked, puzzled.

”A herbal bath is just like boiling eggs with tea leaves; you put the person on the stove, and boil them with all sorts of medicinal herbs!” Tang Zhen said while curling his lip, ”President Li, he’s trying to kill you, are you sure you haven’t offended this fellow?”

”What?” At these words, President Li’s face instantly turned pale, and he stared at Ye Haochuan as if looking at a monster.
