Invincible Little School Doctor

Everyone in the ward turned at the sound and saw an elderly but spirited foreign doctor enter with his assistant.

”Oh, Mr. Edward, you have finally arrived, perhaps you are the only one in the world who can save my husband!” Mrs. Nicolas exclaimed with overwhelming joy as she approached them.

The arrival of Edward brought her a glimmer of hope, and her elation was only natural!

”Oh, esteemed madam, please don’t panic, let me see your husband,” Dr. Edward reassured her, then asked, ”Respected madam, how long has your husband been in a coma?”

”Oh, he has been in a coma for a year and a half!” Mrs. Nicolas answered.

”That is truly regrettable,” Edward sighed.

Then, Mrs. Nicolas led Edward to the bedside, her face pleading, ”Mr. Edward, you are the world’s most renowned neurologist, I beg you to save my husband, Nicolas.”

Looking at Nicolas, who resembled a stick of kindling, Edward said sympathetically to her, ”Respected madam, rest assured, I will do my utmost to treat him!”

Seeing Edward’s arrival, the hospital director hurried over and said, ”Mr. Edward, welcome to our hospital. I am the director of this establishment, I’ve long admired your reputation, I wonder how Mr. Nicolas’s condition is...”

”Sorry, Director, I’m very busy, please forgive me for not having the time to answer your questions right now,” Edward interrupted arrogantly.

The assistant next to Mr. Edward said haughtily, ”Director, please refrain from disturbing Dr. Edward’s work. Now, immediately, get Mr. Nicolas’s medical records and examination reports for our doctor to review.”

The director’s face turned dark; after all, he was a leader at the Haishan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and here he was being commanded like a lackey by a foreigner, which naturally did not sit well with him!

Seeing the director standing motionless, Mrs. Nicolas berated him, ”Well, what are you waiting for? Do you need me to complain to the Haishan Health Bureau before you move?”

The director was startled. A complaint to the Health Bureau could jeopardize his position!

He immediately responded, ”Very well, Mrs. Nicolas, I will send for the medical records at once... right away...”

Seeing the director in action, Mrs. Nicolas ordered, ”And from now on, you must provide whatever Mr. Edward needs!”

”Yes, yes, yes...” the director agreed submissively. He couldn’t afford to offend Mrs. Nicolas, so he sent someone to quickly fetch the records for Edward.

Edward didn’t even look up as he took the medical records, and examined the examination reports carefully.

Afterward, he approached the patient Nicolas, lifted his eyelids, and carefully inspected the condition of the patient’s eyeballs.

”Mr. Nicolas has a shadow on his CT, clearly there’s a blood clot pressing on his brain’s neural system. Had surgery been performed earlier, the chance of success might have been higher, but now it’s too late...” Edward shook his head, ”God bless! Let’s just maintain Mr. Nicolas’s current condition...”

To maintain the current condition meant at least he was still alive.

”What, maintain the current condition? That would mean letting my husband continue lying there like a vegetable? Oh, my God, that is not what I want to see,” Mrs. Nicolas said with tears in her eyes.

”I’m sorry, respected madam, I am powerless to help,” Edward said with a look of regret.

Just then, an excited voice came from the doorway, ”Madam, I have found a very miraculous young doctor named Ye Haochuan. His medical skills are incredible; he might be able to cure my friend Nicolas.”

Mrs. Nicolas quickly looked toward the door and saw her friend Steed enter with an air of excitement.

A young man followed behind him.

When the director and others in the room set their eyes on the young man, they were ecstatic. Right, how could they have forgotten about this Junior Godly Doctor from the Haishan Affiliated Hospital? With him present, why would they have to endure the insults from Mrs. Nicolas at the Haishan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital?

By this time, Ye Haochuan had already become a rising star in the Haishan medical community, and of course, how could these practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine not be aware of it?

”Oh, dear Steed, my friend, are you telling the truth?” A glimmer of hope suddenly shone in Mrs. Nicolas’s eyes, which were filled with extreme disappointment.

”Of course it’s true, my mother was just cured by him not long ago, trust me, his medical skills are really great,” Steed said with certainty.

At this moment, the Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and the panel of expert doctors also came forward, praising Ye Haochuan’s remarkable medical skills.

Mrs. Nicolas also started to waver in her heart.

However, at that moment, Edward suddenly spoke with displeasure, ”No, no, no, what kind of joke is this? Traditional Chinese Medicine in Huaxia has long been in decline, it’s a trick to fool people. Moreover, as far as I know, Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners get better with age. How could this young man heal Mr. Nicolas?”

Upon hearing this, Mrs. Nicolas immediately began to hesitate again.

”You say our Huaxia’s Traditional Chinese Medicine is a trick to fool people?”

It was Haochuan who suddenly spoke up, glaring at Edward with a look of displeasure.

Any disparagement of Traditional Chinese Medicine was something he could not accept by any means – it was his point of no return.

In an instant, the gaze of everyone in the room was drawn to Haochuan.

After sizing him up for a moment, Edward said arrogantly, ”Indeed, your Huaxia’s Traditional Chinese Medicine is nothing but a trick to fool people, especially that Acupuncture Techniques, Wikipedia has already made it clear that it’s complete pseudoscience.”

”Pseudoscience? That’s quite a lofty hat you’re placing on it!”

Ye Haochuan laughed coldly, suppressing his anger as he said, ”Alright, since you think that our Huaxia’s Acupuncture Techniques are pseudoscience, today I’ll prove to you whether the Acupuncture Techniques, which have been passed down for thousands of years, are real science or pseudoscience.”

After speaking, he walked straight to Nicolas, who was lying in the hospital bed.

At this point, Edward followed and challenged loudly, ”What are you trying to do? Mr. Nicolas is gravely ill, you can’t mess around!”

”Where am I messing around? I’m going to treat him!” Haochuan retorted.

”Absurd, if our Western medicine is powerless against this illness, how could your Traditional Chinese Medicine possibly cure it?” Edward roared.

”Nonsense, just because you Western doctors are powerless doesn’t mean that we in Traditional Chinese Medicine are. Move aside, I’m going to treat Mr. Nicolas,” Ye Haochuan commanded.

”You Huaxia People just love to put on a show. Don’t forget, human life is paramount, I’m here today, and it’s not for you to act recklessly. If something goes wrong, who will be responsible?”

”If there really is a problem, I will take responsibility!” Ye Haochuan was bristling with anger.

”You take responsibility? Can you afford it?” Edward lost his composure too, shrieking hysterically.

”Why can’t I?” Haochuan said, and with a grand gesture, he drew the Needle Bag from the Storage Ring.

This magic-like move, witnessed by all those around, elicited a collective gasp of surprise.

Edward, however, snorted coldly, ”Just a clumsy magic trick.”

Haochuan couldn’t be bothered to argue with him. His energy sunk into his Dantian, he mustered up the Longevity Gang Qi, concentrating it into the palm of his hand, and then lightly brushed it over Nicolas’s body.

Instantly, Nicolas’s clothes fluttered up like loose cotton, leaving behind only a pair of boxers.

”Ah!”

The entire room was shocked once again.

Especially Mrs. Nicolas, who looked at Ye Haochuan with a face full of surprise, ”Dear Ye, you are really amazing. If you can cure my husband, I will definitely repay you generously.”
