Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 656: Chapter 655: Western Holy See

Ye Haochuan made such a deduction, and it wasn’t without foundation.

Though this Steed’s Martial Arts Path Cultivation hadn’t reached the Postnatal Realm, he deliberately concealed his origins, making it difficult for others to fathom his depth.

At this point, the spiky-haired gangster flew into a rage and charged at Steed, shouting, ”Damn it, you foreigner, how dare you assault my people so violently, you are so dead, dead for sure!”

With that, the spiky-haired gangster suddenly lunged forward, his fists and feet swift like the wind, and his lower stance was extremely stable, clearly showing that he had received some formal training.

Steed remained calm and composed, standing there leisurely, just as the spiky-haired gangster charged at him and a left hook approached his face, he suddenly moved. His thigh swept out in a swift, lightning-like blow, smashing hard into the gangster’s waist.

”Ah!”

The spiky-haired gangster had not expected him to be so formidable, and unable to dodge in time, he was struck and sent flying sideways through the air.

Only then did the spiky-haired gangster realize that he had provoked someone he shouldn’t have on this night.

”Run!” At the gangster’s command, he and a few others, limping and hobbling, made their escape.

Seeing Steed, a Westerner, actually driving away the gangsters that dominated the street, many bystanders around started cheering.

Steed dusted off his hands, returned to where Ye Haochuan and the others were, and smiled at Ye Haochuan, ”Dear Ye, I have made a fool of myself.”

Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”Mr. Steed, you really conceal your skills.”

”Oh, dear Ye, compared to you, my cultivation is indeed shallow,” Steed replied with a light smile.

Ye Haochuan didn’t fall for his attempt to evade the subject and got straight to the point, ”Then I wonder, Mr. Steed, are you an individual cultivator from the West or a believer of the Western Holy See?”

Faced with such direct questioning, Steed knew he could not deceive him and whispered, ”Quite frankly, I am a believer of the Church of Light, but my cultivation is low, I haven’t even crossed the threshold of the Postnatal Realm, far from being comparable to dear Ye you. And you, dear Ye?”

A believer of the Church of Light?

Ye Haochuan was taken aback for a moment, but he was someone who knew how to say one thing to one person and another to someone else. Just because Steed said he was a believer of the Church of Light, did that make it true? What if this Westerner was deceiving him?

With that thought, he chuckled, ”Currently, I am just an individual cultivator, quite humble, quite humble...”

”An individual cultivator?”

Steed’s eyes lit up and he said, ”Dear Ye, since you’re an individual cultivator, why not join our Church of Light? With your cultivation, you will surely be valued highly by our Holy See, and I am willing to be your sponsor.”

Hell, me joining your Church of Light? Are you kidding me? I’m the successor to a certain ideology!

Ye Haochuan shook his head right then and there, declining politely, ”Sorry, Mr. Steed, I have always been used to being free and easygoing, not accustomed to the restrictions of religious rules. Moreover, as a Huaxia person, I have no interest in joining your Western Church of Light.”

Steed was instantly disappointed, but seeing Ye Haochuan’s stance, he didn’t force the issue and laughingly moved on from the topic.

After this incident, Sophia and her mother no longer dared to continue sightseeing and planned to return to the hotel for some early rest, so as to catch the plane back to Russia the next morning.

Naturally, Ye Haochuan personally escorted Sophia and her family back to the hotel.

When departing, the reluctance in Sophia’s eyes was deeply moving.

But at this moment, Xiao Haimie called to hurry him along, so, helplessly, he had to go back, otherwise, if he dared to leave Xiao Haimie alone at home, he would suffer the consequences upon his return.

The next morning, Ye Haochuan had a colleague cover his shift at the hospital, and he personally went to Haishan Airport to see off Sophia and her family, who were preparing to take a flight back to their home country.

Just as he arrived at the airport, Sophia’s family of three was about to go through security. Upon seeing Ye Haochuan, all three were overjoyed.

”Oh, dear Ye, you finally made it.” Sophia was ecstatic, suddenly throwing herself at him, enveloping Ye Haochuan in a hug.

This foreign girl, she almost took my life

After a while, Sophia let him go, moved closer, and kissed him, saying, ”Dear Ye, I knew you wouldn’t forget about me; you’d surely come to see me off, thank you.”

Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”What’s there to thank? How could I forget about you!”

After greeting Steed and Sophia’s mother, Sophia continued with reluctance, ”Dear Ye, will you come to visit me in Russia?”

”Of course, I’ll come as long as I have the time, I’ll definitely come back,” Ye Haochuan promised.

After seeing off Sophia and her family, Ye Haochuan immediately went to a deserted area, summoned the Frost Flying Sword, and flew back to Haishan Affiliated Hospital for work.

In the following days, aside from treating patients at work during the day, Ye Haochuan cultivated the Longevity Technique. As for the expansion of the Medicinal Cuisine Shop, he didn’t get involved at all, leaving it entirely to Xiao Haimie and Han Xue’er to handle.

However, during this period, he spent quite a bit of effort concocting various pills for the Medicinal Cuisine Shop to stockpile, which the newly established Xiao Family Seasoning Processing Factory would use to mix with the medicinal broth needed by the shop.

As for the evenings, well...

After all, since he had gotten involved with so many women, he had to make sure each one was satisfied, right?

At present, the only thing that was giving him a bit of a headache was Zhao Bingqian; this girl, for some reason, disappeared along with her sister Zhao Ruqian and hadn’t even contacted him, leaving him feeling empty and restless.

That afternoon, Ye Haochuan had just finished his cultivation of the Longevity Technique when he suddenly received a phone call from Langfan.

Since the rewards from the Ancient Martial Arts Sect had been distributed a few days ago, Ye Haochuan had gathered Langfan and the others together to distribute the rewards.

Among these rewards, aside from Qi Condensing Pills, Fasting Pills, and other pills, there were also numerous magic artifacts and Martial Arts Path secret manuals. Therefore, after Langfan and his group went back, they had been diligently assimilating and didn’t show up easily.

Now, with Langfan making a call, it was certain that at least he had mostly assimilated the gains.

”Senior Brother Ye, where are you now? Still working at Haishan Affiliated Hospital?” Langfan asked.

”What’s up?” said Ye Haochuan.

”Here’s the thing, the monthly opening of the Sub-Fire Elemental Realm is about to happen again. They asked me if you want to join,” Langfan said.

Ye Haochuan raised an eyebrow, suddenly remembering that it had already been a month since the last time they returned from the Sub-Fire Elemental Realm, and he wondered how Huo Mengyao, Fan Qingyin, and the others left in the realm, as well as the mining base, were doing.

”Go? Of course, I’ll go!” Ye Haochuan said.

”Great, there are three days left before the opening of the Sub-Fire Elemental Realm. Let’s prepare thoroughly during these three days and aim to come back full-handed,” Langfan said excitedly.

”Alright, no problem.”

Ye Haochuan hung up the phone and, thinking of Huo Mengyao and Fan Qingyin, zoned out for a while. Suddenly, the landline phone rang. Upon answering, he heard Xiao Haimie’s anxious voice from the receiver: ”Haochuan, it’s bad, the Medicinal Cuisine Shop has run into trouble, and it’s been exposed by the Haishan TV Station.”
