Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 549: Chapter 548 Malicious Intent

Hearing him ask her to sing ”Twin Swallows,” Su Yingxue was dumbfounded on the spot.

She certainly caught what Ye Xiaofan meant.

For a moment, her face flushed with shame, and she said shyly, ”Brother Ye, I... I can’t sing that!”

Right now, she was in no mood to discuss sponsorship any further, and was eager to leave to avoid any more teasing from this naughty Brother Ye.

Ye Haochuan grabbed her, chuckled mischievously, ”How can you not sing? Well then, sing ’Eighteen...’ ”

As he spoke, he chuckled.

Seeing his mischievous smile, Su Yingxue blushed even more. She misunderstood, thinking he was asking her to sing ”Eighteen mo,” and couldn’t help saying, ”Brother Ye, you’re too naughty... I really can’t sing that.”

”What, you can’t sing the ’Eighteen Bends’?” Ye Xiaofan smiled again.

”Eighteen Bends?” Su Yingxue turned her head, and once again was taken aback, ”You weren’t asking me to sing ’Eighteen mo’?”

When she said the words ”Eighteen mo,” her expression was somewhat unnatural, that feeling of shyness pervaded her heart.

Seeing her embarrassment and astonishment, coupled with her beauty that was as striking as a flower, her attitude of feeble anger and cute pouting carried an allure that was captivating to the bone. Ye Haochuan found it amusing yet was deeply infatuated. He feigned ignorance, ”What ’Eighteen mo’? I asked you to sing ’Eighteen Bends,’ the winding mountain road, how about it? Can you sing that?”

Su Yingxue finally let out a sigh of relief.

She stared at Ye Haochuan intently for a while, and seeing that he appeared to be serious and seemingly not joking, she felt somewhat relieved.

”Then, Brother Ye, you have to keep your word. I’ll sing ’Mountain Road Eighteen Bends’ for you, and after I’m done, you have to give me a Body-Strengthening Pill,” Su Yingxue said earnestly.

”Hehe, sure thing, sure thing...” Ye Haochuan laughed, ”But I’m quite busy right now, listen to it when I have some free time. Take this Body-Strengthening Pill for now; based on the current market value, it’s worth at least ten million per pill. Find a good buyer and try to sell it for a good price.”

As he said this, he took a Body-Strengthening Pill out of his storage ring and handed it to Su Yingxue.

Looking at the familiar Body-Strengthening Pill in her palm, Su Yingxue was so moved she didn’t know what to say. After a while, she lifted her eyelids and looked deeply at him, saying, ”Brother Ye, you’re giving me the Body-Strengthening Pill now, aren’t you afraid I’ll renege on our deal?”

”Haha!” Ye Haochuan laughed heartily, ”Yingxue, you’re a smart person. You wouldn’t renege on our deal over such a small thing as a Body-Strengthening Pill, right? Don’t you want to ask for more Body-Strengthening Pills from me in the future to continue to pull in sponsorships?”

Only then did Su Yingxue have a realization, and at the same time felt gratitude for his trust in her, so she thanked him.

”Hehe, Yingxue, don’t rush to thank me, I still have a condition!” Ye Haochuan suddenly put on a sly merchant’s grin.

”Brother Ye, what’s the condition? Just tell me, I’ll agree to anything I can do,” Su Yingxue said solemnly.

”My condition is quite simple,” Ye Haochuan said with a smile. ”Since you regard me as a merchant, let’s just do it this way. Whenever you hold a charity auction or a charity performance, you must use the trademark of Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop, and the name must be written as exclusively sponsored by Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop. How about that?”

”This—” Su Yingxue hesitated.

She quickly grasped the key point, thinking that Brother Ye was indeed good at seizing every opportunity to advertise, but there had never been such a precedent, and she was somewhat hesitant for the moment.

In fact, previously, some businesses had also wanted to sponsor temporarily and advertise through various school events they organized, but all were rejected because many students felt that the original charity activities were spoiled by the smell of money, which was not aesthetically pleasing.

Ye Haochuan saw through her thoughts and chuckled, ”Yingxue, I still say the same thing, if you want to attract sponsorship and carry on with the charity activities long-term, you have to give up those impractical ideas of the past. Moreover, Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop promotes the path of health preservation, encouraging people to pay attention to health maintenance, which can be said to be a truly good deed. You surely don’t doubt my medical skills, right?”

After thinking it over, Su Yingxue clenched her teeth and said, ”Alright, I will agree to this for you, but whether the other students will agree or not, I cannot say. Of course, I will try my best to persuade them.”

”Actually, I believe your classmates will agree,” Ye Haochuan said with a light smile. ”If anyone objects, just tell them that for all your activities, Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop can cover all the necessary supplies. You don’t need to worry about a thing. With such a deal where not a penny needs to be spent, only a fool would disagree.”

Ha, my Body-Strengthening Pill is a Miraculous Elixir many people can’t obtain even if they wish for it. If I don’t find a way to reap some benefits, I’m just wasting my time in this world.

Ye Haochuan thought to himself fiercely.

Su Yingxue was not that foolish, and she quickly sensed his cunning plan. All that talk about covering the necessary supplies for the event sounded better than it probably was; there was definitely a catch.

But no matter how hard she racked her brains, she could not grasp his ultimate goal.

”Brother Ye, are you really going to cover all the supplies for the event?” Su Yingxue couldn’t help but asked.

”Yes!” Ye Haochuan chuckled, but did not reveal his sinister intentions.

What he had in mind was this: in today’s commercial society, the power of advertising was undeniable. If he were to print the advertising for Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop on all the supplies, once the event started, the whole venue would be overwhelmed by advertisements for Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop. Tsk tsk, it would be hard not to expand his influence then!

Although this tactic was somewhat underhanded, Su Yingxue had come to him for the Body-Strengthening Pill, and since he hadn’t made her perform a dance, he felt he’d been more than fair. What was wrong with asking her to pay such a small price in return?

However, he underestimated Su Yingxue’s intelligence.

Merely moments later, Su Yingxue saw through his plan and said, ”Brother Ye, don’t tell me you plan to print advertisements on these supplies?”

”Hehe, it seems Yingxue, you’re not simple either, your intelligence is almost catching up with mine,” Ye Haochuan shamelessly laughed and then shared his thoughts.

Upon hearing he intended to use the event for advertising, Su Yingxue was both angry and annoyed. What kind of person does that, bringing advertising into our charity activities? This would tarnish the pure charity events with an overwhelming scent of commercialism—totally infuriating.

Seeing her still hesitant, Ye Haochuan smiled lightly; he didn’t care about these things. In his view, this had nothing to do with the smell of money. This was about mutual benefit. Damn it, everyone praises you when you play the good guy in the white hat, so why can’t I play the bad guy in the black hat and make a killing? What kind of logic is that?
