Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 548: Chapter 547 Everything is Negotiable!

Su Yingxue didn’t know how to respond upon hearing this, her face flushed red, and she dared not continue speaking.

Ye Haochuan had teased her enough and decided to call it quits. He continued, ”Of course, whether it’s a charity gala or a charity auction, they are merely superficial ways to attract sponsorship. They may work once or twice, but not a third time. To make businesses willingly sponsor, the key is to let them genuinely benefit from it.”

”Then how can we make them truly benefit?” Su Yingxue seemed interested and hurriedly asked.

”The benefits, ah, boil down to fame and profit,” Ye Haochuan smirked, ”First off, regarding fame, it’s simple. Any business that donates can have their deeds recorded and celebrated, erect monuments to their generosity, or even create statues for those who contribute greatly on campus. This way they gain reputation, and you secure the sponsorship. It’s a win-win, so why not do it?”

Nodding in understanding, Su Yingxue gritted her teeth and said, ”Alright, I’ll go back and have my classmates try it.”

Ye Haochuan smiled slightly, ”Go ahead and try it out, I guarantee you’ll be satisfied. And if it works well, don’t forget to treat me to a meal. Oh, I’ve been quite involved in bedroom activities lately and feel a bit drained. If you’re treating me to a meal, maybe include some ox or tiger parts...”

Brother Ye, always goofing around, Su Yingxue chuckled without knowing what to say.

Ye Haochuan went on, ”In fact, I believe many businesses initially sponsored you because they were attracted by the huge student market in the school, hoping to tap into it with your help. However, you haven’t met their expectations, so many decided to withdraw. After all, no one does business without the prospect of profit.”

”Brother Ye, what you’re saying makes sense. Now that you mention it, I finally understand why those businesses withdrew,” Su Yingxue nodded and then sighed, ”Alas, we students were too naive, thinking that sincerity can move mountains and would convince the businesses, not realizing how foolish that thought was.”

Looks like this girl does have some insight, not bad, not bad.

Ye Haochuan nodded with a laugh, ”Haha, Yingxue, it’s great that you can think that way.”

Turning her head towards him, Su Yingxue said with a soft laugh, ”Brother Ye, I will discuss your suggestions with everyone when I get back. I believe we’ll soon see a breakthrough. But there’s another thing I need your help with.”

”What is it? As long as it’s not about money, everything else is negotiable!” Ye Haochuan was cunning indeed; what kind of help could Su Yingxue possibly need from him? Apart from medical issues, it was probably about money.

Su Yingxue lowered her head, embarrassed, but soon gathered the courage to say, ”Brother Ye, actually, it’s still about sponsorship. But you won’t have to give too much, just enough to help us a bit with the activity funds needed to hold the charity galas and auctions.”

”You can’t be serious? You don’t even have the funds to hold those events?” Ye Haochuan exclaimed in surprise.

Su Yingxue was even more embarrassed now, and looking down she said, ”That’s how it is. Since several businesses stopped sponsoring us, we’ve had a funding shortfall. To support the orphans and the elderly at Haishan, we’ve borrowed a lot, and many students have donated their own living expenses. Now we simply don’t have the basic funds to conduct charity galas and auctions.”

She looked so pitiful as she spoke that Ye Haochuan, while admiring her, felt moved and even a bit heartache, and couldn’t help but say, ”Alright, I can provide the funds for your activities. But how much do you need?”

”Thank you, Brother Ye, thank you,” Su Yingxue said, and then held up a finger.

”A thousand yuan, eh? That’s easy,” Ye Haochuan gestured as if reaching for his wallet.

Su Yingxue rolled her eyes at this. A mere thousand yuan, for that would she demean herself to come to you?

”Brother Ye, it’s not a thousand yuan, it’s one million yuan,” Su Yingxue said courageously.

Ye Haochuan jumped in shock—I mean, a million? That much? Wasn’t this just about running charity events? Why would it cost so much? Dammit, were these kids just burning money for fun?

He shook his head helplessly, ”Yingxue, I’m barely making ends meet myself! You’re asking for a million yuan, do you even want me to live?”

Su Yingxue laughed, ”Brother Ye, don’t be modest with me. Don’t I know you? Once, you gave Bingqian a few Body-Strengthening Pills, and with them, she easily made a fortune of over a hundred million. Brother Ye, I don’t want your money. How about you just give me a Body-Strengthening Pill instead?”

Damn, this girl is quite the calculator, aiming right for my Body-Strengthening Pills.

Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”You sly Yingxue, my Body-Strengthening Pills are sought after by many as miraculous elixirs that extend life and maintain youth. You’re asking for one as if they’re as easy to get as chewing gum, huh?”

”Brother Ye, don’t tell me you don’t even have one Body-Strengthening Pill?” Su Yingxue said disbelievingly.

”Just one Body-Strengthening Pill? Of course, I have it and I’m not unwilling to give it to you,” Ye Haochuan began to smile, ”But I can’t just give it away for nothing, you have to pay some kind of price, right?”

As he spoke, he looked her over with a not-so-innocent glance.

Seeing him eyeing her with that lustful look, Su Yingxue, although calm as still water inside, couldn’t help feeling uneasy under his gaze. She stammered, ”Brother Ye, you...”

Noticing her nervousness, Ye Haochuan laughed heartily, ”Look at you, all anxious. You’re thinking too poorly of me. Here’s the deal, you study music, right? So think of it as a charity performance. Sing a song for me, and if you do it well, I’ll immediately give you a Body-Strengthening Pill. How about that?”

It turned out to be just singing a song, no indecent request at all.

Su Yingxue breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that trading a song for a Body-Strengthening Pill seemed like a good deal. She said, ”Fine, Brother Ye, I agree to your request. What song would you like to hear?”

Seeing her quickly agree, Ye Haochuan felt amused, thinking how naive this girl was for falling right into his trap so easily.

”Ah, it’s been so long since I’ve heard ’Twin Swallows.’ Yingxue, can you sing it?” Ye Haochuan asked with a smile.
