Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 581: Chapter 581: This challenge is not easy!

It’s no wonder Jiang Shangwen and Wang Lihua were shocked; they could accept their daughter taking Ye Haochuan as her master, but couldn’t fathom her dating her teacher. What would people say? That’s just scandalous!

Seeing her sister and brother-in-law’s extreme reaction, Wang Yan thought they had been swayed by her, so she immediately exaggerated how Shuying and Ye Haochuan kissed yesterday, of course not omitting how Ye Haochuan had fooled her into waiting outside the bathroom for a long time.

At this moment, Jiang Shuying, hiding in the side room, was pale and sweating nervously. She had finally persuaded her parents; how could she have forgotten this significant oversight? Now, her aunt had caught her in the act.

Next to her, Ye Haochuan looked utterly unconcerned, he lightly patted her hand and chuckled softly, ”Don’t worry, with your master here, everything will be fine.”

”It’s all your fault,” Jiang Shuying glared at him irritably, huffing, ”I don’t care, master, if you don’t fix this for me, I won’t let you off the hook.”

Damn, not let me off the hook? How exactly will you not let me off the hook? Are you planning to assault and kill your master? That would be quite a challenge!

Ye Haochuan was secretly amused, chuckling, ”Relax, such a trivial matter; if your master can’t handle this, then I am unworthy of being your master.”

Meanwhile, in the living room, Wang Yan continued slandering Ye Haochuan: ”Sister, brother-in-law, of course, in today’s society influenced by Western culture, kissing in public isn’t rare. However, for Ye Haochuan to kiss Shuying in front of me, an elder, was utterly disrespectful. It goes to show how deplorable his character is, not someone to entrust a lifetime with...”

At this point, Jiang Shangwen interjected with doubt, ”But, I heard that Ye Haochuan is our Shuying’s master. No matter how bad his character is, he wouldn’t destroy his own disciple’s reputation too, would he?”

”What? You’re saying that Ye Haochuan is Shuying’s master? How is that possible? With that shabby look of his, he is worthy of being our Shuying’s master? I haven’t heard anything about Shuying learning medicine from him!” Wang Yan said disdainfully.

”That’s because Shuying is not learning medicine from him, she’s learning martial arts,” Wang Lihua explained.

”Oh? Martial arts?” Wang Yan was surprised for a moment and then had an epiphany. She remembered how she had waited for Ye Haochuan yesterday for so long, and he must have jumped out from the bathroom window, something only a martial artist could achieve.

Suddenly, she began to believe it.

But then an idea struck her, and she said excitedly, ”Sister, brother-in-law, no matter what, since Ye Haochuan is Shuying’s master, it means it’s even less likely for the two of them to be together. Otherwise, if it got out that a master and his disciple were involved, that would sound terrible!”

Before Jiang Shangwen and Wang Lihua could respond, the door creaked open, and Ye Haochuan stepped out, with a smile that was not quite a smile, looking at Wang Yan, ”Director Wang, how bad does it sound exactly for a master to be involved with his disciple?”

”Ye Haochuan, what are you doing here?” Wang Yan stood up in surprise.

At that moment, Jiang Shuying, along with her brother Jiang Shuqing, also came out.

Only then did Wang Yan realize, ”So it was Shuying who brought you here. No wonder, no wonder.”

With that, her tone turned sharp and mocking again: ”You know, sister and brother-in-law, your attitude today is different from yesterday’s. Turns out Ye Haochuan here has been pulling the strings, feeding you some sort of love potion. Ye Haochuan, you shameless scoundrel, get out of here right now. You’re not welcome.”

”Auntie, don’t make Uncle Ye leave, I want to apprentice myself to him and learn martial arts too,” Jiang Shuqing said innocently.

”What?” Wang Yan’s face changed again.

She had never expected her little nephew to be successfully won over by Ye Haochuan. For a moment, she regretted not coming back overnight the previous evening, thinking she should have acted before it was too late. Now the situation favored the one who moved first, while those who lagged behind would suffer.

With this in mind, she hurriedly said to Jiang Shangwen and Wang Lihua: ”Sister, brother-in-law, Shuqing cannot learn martial arts from someone like Ye Haochuan. He’s already a little mischievous and always causing trouble for you. If he learns martial arts and causes a serious disaster, then what will we do?”

She had thought that her indecisive sister and brother-in-law would listen to her this time, but to her surprise, her brother-in-law, Jiang Shangwen, waved his hand dismissively: ”The child learning martial arts might not be a bad thing, I’ve heard that many children in the city are learning taekwondo.”

”Brother-in-law, you...” Wang Yan couldn’t believe it. Was this really the brother-in-law she knew from before?

What seemed even more unbelievable to her was that her usually obedient sister, Wang Lihua, also said: ”Little Yan, your brother-in-law is right. Since Shuqing likes it, as long as he understands not to use his skills to bully others, learning isn’t a bad thing. At least, he’ll have some ability to protect himself from bad people.”

”But even if you want to learn martial arts, shouldn’t you find a better master? Ye Haochuan’s character is rotten to the core, aren’t you afraid he’ll corrupt Shuqing?” Wang Yan couldn’t help but say.

”Actually, Little Yan, I don’t think Mr. Ye’s character is as bad as you say. Is there some misunderstanding between you two?” Jiang Shangwen spoke up.

If this had been in the past, he might have taken his little sister-in-law’s words without question, but now things were different. Ye Haochuan had managed to put his unruly son on the right path, which showed he wasn’t as morally bankrupt as thought. He trusted only what he saw with his own eyes.

Wang Yan was dumbfounded. Had her sister and brother-in-law’s entire family gone mad? She had personally experienced Ye Haochuan’s lack of character. But deep down, she also felt it was odd. How on earth had Ye Haochuan managed it?

At that moment, her heart clenched violently. She had thought everything was under her control, but now it seemed it was not so simple. It was probably not going to be easy to fulfill the promise she made to Young Master Wang. Worse, Director Wang might even remove her as the newly-promoted producer.

At this point, Ye Haochuan chuckled: ”Director Wang, you keep saying my character is bad, but do you have any proof? Oh right, you just mentioned that you saw Shuying and me kissing in front of you. Did you take a picture of it?”

”I saw it with my own eyes; there’s no need for photos,” Wang Yan said angrily.

”You say you saw it with your own eyes, but the problem is, Shuying and I didn’t kiss at all. Aren’t you going too far with such brazen slander?” Ye Haochuan chuckled.

”What? You’re accusing me of slander?” Wang Yan was so angry she felt like exploding, ”Sister, brother-in-law, what I said is the truth... ”

”Director Wang, I, Ye Haochuan, may not care about my reputation; you can say whatever you like. However, Shuying is your niece, your flesh and blood. Isn’t it shameful for you to tarnish her reputation right in front of her?” Ye Haochuan smiled again.

”You... you... you’re calling me shameless?” Wang Yan was about to burst with fury.

”If I don’t call you shameless, should I perhaps say you’re noble?” Ye Haochuan’s expression turned stern, heh, after all, I take pride in being shameless, so it doesn’t bother me. If I don’t refute you thoroughly today, then I might as well not call myself Ye!
