Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 587: Chapter 587: A Desire for Color, Yet Lacking Courage

Ye Haochuan even directly thought that if the other party could use photos to threaten a girl like Xiaoxiao, it’s most likely that they were bastards. Otherwise, Xiaoxiao wouldn’t be as distraught as she is now, facing immense mental pressure.

Thinking of this, Ye Haochuan continued to fish for information, sending a text message over: ”What exactly do you want?”

Very soon, a reply came: ”Easy there, prepare a hundred million, and I’ll give you the photos.”

Fuck, a hundred million? Why don’t you just rob a bank?

Ye Haochuan shook his head, and Su Yingxue next to him said angrily: ”We don’t even know who this person is, how dare they be so blatantly extortionate, it’s just too despicable... By the way, Brother Ye, do you think the person is a man or a woman?”

”How would I know, I’ve never touched them.” Ye Haochuan laughed.

What touched them? This Brother Ye, really is too bad.

Su Yingxue’s pretty face blushed slightly, and she gave him a glare: ”I guess they must be a man, only a man would resort to such dirty tricks.”

Originally, Ye Haochuan also suspected the person was a man, but hearing her say this, he felt somewhat displeased, and said: ”Not necessarily a man though, some women aren’t any better.”

”Brother Ye, want to bet on it? I bet it’s a man.” Su Yingxue said somewhat defiantly.

”Let’s bet, but what’s the wager?” Ye Haochuan snickered with a mischievous grin, ”I must declare first, anything goes except offering oneself.”

”Brother Ye, you’re really too bad...” Su Yingxue said, her face turning red.

”So, do we bet or not?” Ye Haochuan asked.

”Bet, of course we’ll bet.” Su Yingxue, not knowing where her courage came from, held her head high, ”I believe, I will definitely not lose... As for the wager, I haven’t thought of it yet, but if I win, you have to agree to one of my conditions.”

”And if I win?” Ye Haochuan asked back, the smile on his face somewhat wicked, ”Shouldn’t you also agree to one of my conditions?”

”Then Brother Ye, what condition do you want?” Su Yingxue said with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile.

”Hehe, well, I haven’t thought of that yet.” Ye Haochuan chuckled.

Su Yingxue, hearing his evil laughter, knew too well what kind of bad thoughts he was entertaining and dared not continue the topic.

Just at this moment, another text message came through, the content of which was the other party urging for a quick response.

Ye Haochuan immediately composed a message and sent it: A hundred million is too much, I don’t have that kind of money.

After a while, the other party sent back a harshly worded message: ”What a joke! Your Zhang family is filthy rich; are you saying you can’t even come up with a hundred million? I warn you, if you don’t pay up, just wait for your Zhang family’s reputation to hit rock bottom.”

Seeing that the other party hadn’t become suspicious and seemed to have taken the bait willingly, Ye Haochuan then reluctantly agreed but also proposed meeting in person to make the transaction.

However, the other party was very cautious and even made a phone call instead.

Luckily, Ye Haochuan was prepared and handed the phone to Su Yingxue. She calmed her anxious heart, then pressed the answer button and switched on the speakerphone so that Ye Haochuan could hear. Afterward, she pinched her throat, trying her best to mimic Xiaoxiao’s voice and said: ”Hello?”

”Why does your voice sound off?” the other party immediately voiced their suspicion.

Ye Haochuan listened to the voice, deep and gruff, clearly that of a man, but what was odd was that the voice sounded unnatural, even a bit bizarre—it gave one goosebumps just listening to it.

Seeing the other party’s suspicion, Su Yingxue hurriedly feigned a crying tone, ”You bastard, actually using the photo to blackmail me, my throat is hoarse from crying.”

”Haha!” The other party burst into laughter, ”Zhang Xiaoxiao, you’re a smart person. Just do as we tell you, and those photos... tsk tsk, will naturally be returned to you.”

Despicable!

Su Yingxue cursed inwardly, but feigned anger, ”You’d better keep your promises, otherwise, I’ll make sure neither of us gets out of this unscathed, even at the cost of my own downfall!”

”Zhang Xiaoxiao, rest assured, as long as you obediently follow our orders and don’t go to the police, everything will naturally be OK.” The other party chuckled ominously and then hung up the call.

Su Yingxue put away her phone, grinding her teeth, ”These bastards are so hateful, so despicable, to do such a thing to Xiaoxiao... ”

Damn it, a beautiful flower ruined by a bunch of scum.

Ye Haochuan was also cursing under his breath, ”Yingxue, don’t worry about it. These scumbags, I will root out every single one of them and avenge our classmate Xiaoxiao.”

Only then did Su Yingxue’s expression ease somewhat.

”However, Yingxue, not to criticize you guys, but as students with kind hearts wanting to do charity, I understand the sentiment. But society isn’t as simple as you might think from within your ivory towers. What baffles me is, didn’t Xiaoxiao have any male students with her?”

Su Yingxue suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, ”There were quite a few businesses involved this time, and we were a bit short on people, so...”

”No matter how short-staffed you are, you can’t just let a girl go about these things alone. At the very least, she should have had some male students with her, right?” Ye Haochuan sighed, ”Luckily, from what these people said, they only took indecent photos of Xiaoxiao and didn’t abuse her physically. They probably knew she came from a wealthy family and didn’t dare do anything too outrageous.”

Su Yingxue nodded, ”That is indeed a silver lining in this misfortune.”

Ye Haochuan pondered for a moment, ”We should keep this matter from her parents for now...”

”But Brother Ye, if we don’t tell her parents, who is going to come up with the hundred million?” Su Yingxue frowned.

”Considering Zhang Xiaoxiao’s reputation, it’s best if just the two of us know about this for now. I’ll take care of the money. I will investigate and find the mastermind behind this as quickly as possible, destroy those photos, and help Xiaoxiao return to her usual bubbly and cheerful self!” Ye Haochuan declared decisively.

”Mhm.” Su Yingxue nodded emphatically, ”Brother Ye, I knew it, you have the heart of a good man even if you are a bad guy.”

Damn, what kind of compliment was that, calling me a good-hearted bad guy? Wasn’t that sarcasm?

Ye Haochuan was a bit lost for words, ”Yingxue, you can tease me all you want, but why add ’with a good heart’ to it?”

”That’s because it’s true, Brother Ye, you are a bad guy with a good heart,” Su Yingxue chuckled.

Seeing her making fun of him, Ye Haochuan’s mood lightened, and he teased, ”Aren’t you afraid of hanging out with a bad guy like me, for fear I might devour you?”

”Brother Ye, don’t I know you well? Full of desire, but no courage—I’m not afraid of you devouring me at all...” Su Yingxue giggled.

Damn, what was with that? She made me sound so pitifully spineless.

Ye Haochuan felt a bit annoyed, but suddenly steeled his heart, pulled her into his embrace, and chuckled with a grin, ”Who says I have the desire but no courage? I’m going to devour you right now...”
