Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 574: 574 Chapter Really a Waste of Public Grain

Seeing Mayor Yao Guoqing actually accusing him of feigned competence, Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but laugh, ”Very good, very good indeed, very powerful. Few people dare to say that I, young master, am feigning competence. You, Mayor Yao, are the first one!”

Yao Guoqing was stunned and thought to himself, what’s the background of this young man that he’s not afraid at all? Could he have some powerful backing?

Considering this, he didn’t dare to treat Haochuan lightly and hesitantly pondered, ”You young man are...”

Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”Enough said, enough said. I’m not any significant figure, but don’t you think your enforcement is a bit too rough? Aren’t you afraid of losing the people’s hearts? Besides, it’s common for kids to fight, there’s no need to make such a big fuss, right?”

Hearing this, Yao Guoqing thought to himself that he was worrying too much. This kid turned out to be a bookworm; what kind of backing could he possibly have? Damn, what a stroke of bad luck, to be bluffed by a bookish nerd.

”Rough enforcement? Where did you see us enforcing the law roughly? Our law enforcement is governed by the rule of law, with reason and evidence!” Yao Guoqing’s fierce visage returned as he ordered Zheng Wei, ”Old Zheng, what are you waiting for? This kid dares to interfere with law enforcement, arrest him as well!”

Damn, unappreciative bastard!

Ye Haochuan’s expression darkened as he coldly said, ”This is truly the biggest joke under the heavens. Just by raising a few questions, you want to arrest me too? Is there no justice, no law?”

”Kid, you just don’t know when to stop, do you? I think you look quite familiar, much like a wanted criminal we’ve got on our online list. Calm down and come with us, we need to interrogate you properly,” the police station chief Zheng Wei huffed.

Fuck, slapping me with such a big accusation from the get-go, this chief sure knows his stuff!

Ye Haochuan sneered, ”A wanted criminal? You’ve got quite the excuse there! But what if it turns out afterward that I’m not the criminal you’re looking for?”

”Damn it, quit your bullshit!” Zheng Wei lost his patience.

At that moment, a policeman stepped forward, took out handcuffs, and was about to cuff Ye Haochuan.

Ye Haochuan did not resist and let him cuff him.

Jiang Shuying couldn’t bear to watch anymore and blurted out, ”Master...”

Ye Haochuan gave her a look to keep silent, and Shuying had no choice but to hold back.

The policeman handcuffed Haochuan, but with a slight struggle, Haochuan broke the handcuffs and snickered, ”Come on, you can’t be serious? The quality of your handcuffs is this poor? It seems the procurement department of your police system is seriously corrupt!”

Hearing his mockery, the policeman was so furious he glared, cursing, ”Dammit, shut your mouth! What’s it to you how we run our police system? Do you think you have the right to talk about it?”

However, he was truly puzzled. Damn, how weird, these handcuffs are made of high-grade steel; how did he just break them?

Ye Haochuan disdainfully looked at the policeman and snorted, ”With that attitude of yours, it’s truly a waste of public grain. I’ve paid taxes, part of your salary comes from my taxes, so I do have the right to interfere and speak up about it!”

”Damn, who’s this pedantic bookworm? Always spouting nonsense!” The irritated policeman suddenly drew his baton and aimed for Ye Haochuan’s head.

Fucking hell, resorting to violence when out-argued, huh?

Ye Haochuan swiftly reached out, snatched the baton, and took it from him.

”You’re rebelling, huh? Daring to attack a police officer?” the officer bellowed in rage, shouting loudly, ”Comrades, this guy’s attacking the police! Draw your guns!”

The policemen who had been pressing in to handcuff Jiang Shuying’s family heard this and immediately drew their service weapons, aiming them at Ye Haochuan.

Ye Haochuan gave a cold laugh, then suddenly his figure flickered at such speed that he turned into a series of afterimages. The surrounding policemen hadn’t even realized what had happened when they felt a pain in their wrists, followed by their service guns being snatched away, one by one.

After a moment, Ye Haochuan returned to his original spot, now with a handful of service guns, standing there with a smirk that wasn’t quite a smile.

Damn it, what kind of freak is this guy? How is he so abnormal?

All the policemen were dumbstruck.

The onlookers who had come for a spectacle were also dumbfounded.

Even Jiang Shangwen’s family, except for Jiang Shuying, couldn’t believe their eyes. But Jiang Shuqing, that kid, was excited as ever, rubbing his hands together and saying, ”I never thought he’d be even stronger than my sister. I have to become his disciple, I must...”

At this moment, the station chief Zheng Wei came to his senses and shouted, ”You little rascal, how dare you openly seize guns and violently resist the law? You’ve got some nerve!”

”How does ’violently resisting the law’ compare to your rough enforcement of it?” Ye Haochuan shot back, with a cold snicker, ”Go on then, come and try to catch me again!”

Hearing this, Zheng Wei’s neck contorted with fury. While grabbing his mobile phone, he yelled, ”Damn it, too arrogant, way too arrogant! I’m calling for backup right now, and we’ll see how long you can keep this up!”

However, just at that moment, his phone, which he had just taken out, began to ring. It was a call from Director Qin of the county police bureau.

Without overthinking it, assuming Director Qin needed him for something, he pressed the answer button with a broad smile, ”Director Qin, what can I do for you?”

”Do for me? You son of a bitch, Zheng Wei, do you have a fucking death wish?” Director Qin roared into the phone.

Confused by the sudden reprimand, Zheng Wei was stunned, ”Director Qin, you mean...”

”For fucks sake, can’t you understand plain speak? I’m telling you, Zheng Wei, are you in the process of making an arrest right now?” Director Qin bellowed through the phone.

Zheng Wei was taken aback once more, thinking that today’s operation had been a last-minute decision; how could Director Qin know about it?

But this man had risen through the ranks by flattery and sycophancy, so he immediately laughed it off with a compliment, ”Director Qin, you really are a modern Zhuge Liang, insightful and foresightful, to know even about our station’s activities. I am utterly impressed...”

”Impressed my ass! I’m about to be done for because of you!” Qin sounded utterly frantic, ”I’m telling you, Zheng Wei, someone has posted your rough law enforcement antics online, and even worse, it’s caught the attention of some big shots in the province. Just now, Director Wei of the provincial police department personally gave me a dressing down...”

At this, Zheng Wei received a jolt of realization, and turning to Ye Haochuan he said, ”Ah, Director Qin, I know which son of a bitch snitched. Don’t worry, the guy is right beside me. I’ll catch him and make him suffer, to take revenge for you.”

”You pig-headed idiot!” Director Qin was on the brink of a breakdown, ”Did it ever occur to you, you damn fool, that after all I’ve said, you still don’t get it? Let me tell you, Zheng Wei, the person who drew the attention of the provincial big shots is right there with you. Although I don’t know who he is, his background is unquestionably not simple. Fuck, hurry up and rein in your usual bullshit, or there will be hell to pay for you!”

”Ah?”

”Ah what? Ah hell!” Director Qin was still not pacified, continuing to rant, ”You incompetent fool, you’re more trouble than you’re worth! Now pull your people back and get the hell back to the station. Listen up, if this blows up any bigger, losing your job will be the least of your worries. If you mess up my career, I will not let you off the hook!”
