Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 528: Chapter 527: It’s Good to Have a Backer!

It’s no wonder this doctor looked so displeased, they had just arrived at the scene and had already checked carefully, the pregnant woman had indeed stopped breathing, showed no signs of life, and had been dead for some time; there was simply no chance of reviving her.

Yet unexpectedly, this guy who popped up from nowhere, from some crappy Haishan University Affiliated Hospital, had the nerve to say there was hope. Wasn’t he blatantly slapping them in the face?

Ye Haochuan hadn’t expected this doctor to have such an attitude, either. He looked down and his gaze landed right on the doctor’s work badge, which clearly had the name Ke Wensong written on it.

He immediately frowned and said, ”Doctor Ke, though the pregnant woman has been dead for a while, I’m confident that I can bring her back to life. I hope you can cooperate.”

Ke Wensong outright rejected him: ”Nonsense, she has been dead for so long, how could it be possible to save her?”

Ye Haochuan’s temper, which had been suppressed up till now, suddenly erupted: ”Listen to me, she’s not dead yet, there’s still a chance to save her, understand?”

At that moment, the husband of the pregnant woman stepped forward, confronting Ye Haochuan and shouted, ”What are you doing? My wife is already dead, can’t you let her rest in peace?”

Ye Haochuan said in a heavy voice, ”Your wife isn’t dead yet, there’s still a chance to bring her back, look, this is my ID, you see...”

”See... see your ass!” The pregnant woman’s husband didn’t care at all, he brushed aside his hand, nearly knocking the ID out of his grasp.

Ye Haochuan was infuriated. What the hell kind of man was this? His wife still had a chance to be revived, and yet he behaved this way?

But what shocked him even more was that at this moment, the parents-in-law of the pregnant woman also surrounded him, pointed at his nose, and cursed him out, complaining that he was being meddlesome.

Fuck, I’m trying to save someone, and now I’m accused of butting in?

Ye Haochuan was extremely frustrated, but soon he found it peculiar. It was one thing for the husband to be so unreasonable, but why were her in-laws behaving the same way? Ridiculous, this whole family was just too damn bizarre!

However, although he felt something was odd, he couldn’t just not save someone. Since there was still a chance to save the pregnant woman, he couldn’t give up.

”Everybody, shut up!” Ye Haochuan shouted, and his roar instantly quieted the in-laws who had been scolding him.

Only the husband of the pregnant woman continued to be implacable.

He pulled over a few auxiliary police officers and cried out, ”Officers, this bastard, he’s simply not human. My wife has been killed by this woman, and he won’t allow her to rest, claiming she still has a chance to be saved. This is a clear insult to our intelligence. Please, officers, take our side. We can’t let this fool keep messing around...”

The few auxiliary officers, riled up by him, all turned their doubtful gazes toward Ye Haochuan.

”Everyone, I’m Doctor Ye Haochuan from Haishan University Affiliated Hospital, this is my ID, you can check it. This pregnant woman can still be saved. Just give me a little time...”

Ye Haochuan wanted to clarify things to secure time for treatment, but before he could finish speaking, the auxiliary police looked at each other with a mix of confusion and disbelief. Then, one of them who seemed to be the leader bellowed, ”You’re fucking claiming to be Ye Haochuan? What a joke. You dare to impersonate Junior Godly Doctor Ye’s name?”

Another auxiliary officer chimed in, ”I’ve got a relative who just went to Haishan University Affiliated Hospital for a check-up today. They had an appointment with Junior Godly Doctor Ye. Just an hour ago, my relative saw him. Now you’re telling me you are Ye Haochuan? Are you fucking kidding us? Haishan University is in South City University Town, it’s at least a two-hour drive to this airport. How could he make it here?”

Ye Haochuan suddenly realized that their misunderstanding of him wasn’t without reason, but he just couldn’t reveal his ability to perform Sword Flight, which gave him an immense headache at that moment.

Suddenly, he remembered something and hurriedly took out his phone to dial Director Luo Yong’s number at the city police headquarters, explaining the situation in just a few words.

Upon hearing his explanation, Luo Yong became so furious that he quickly asked him to hand the phone to the auxiliary policeman who seemed to be in charge.

”Here, Director Luo wants to speak with you,” Ye Haochuan said as he handed the phone to the auxiliary policeman leader.

The leader was stunned for a moment, wondering if this kid actually knew our Director Luo?

Out of curiosity, he took a closer look at the phone and saw indeed Luo Yong’s name displayed, with the number matching Director Luo’s, which sent a shiver down his spine. With caution, he tentatively asked, ”Luo... Director Luo?”

”You worthless thing, under whose command are you serving? Didn’t I issue a notice within our system recently? From now on, whenever you encounter Doctor Ye Haochuan, all of you are to behave yourselves. Are you itching for a real punishment from me?” Luo Yong scolded him harshly.

The leader, trembling with fear, stammered, ”Director Luo, I’m under the command of Section Chief Liu Jiang of the North City Police Sub-Bureau’s fourth small team. As for the notice, we were unaware of it, sir, we’re all temporary workers.”

”Temporary workers?” Luo Yong cursed again, ”Damnit, when did that bastard Liu Jiang recruit such useless temporary workers like you? Listen up, this Doctor Ye is not someone you nobodies can afford to provoke. Don’t cause trouble for me, or I’ll have you fired!”

After that, the call was disconnected.

The leader felt as though he had been drenched in sweat and, not daring to delay, quickly returned the phone to Ye Haochuan with a sycophantic apology, ”Doctor Ye, we’re sorry, we were blind not to recognize Mount Tai. Please, be magnanimous and forgive us as if we were just a passing fart.”

Ye Haochuan waved his hand impatiently, and said, ”Alright, I don’t have time for your nonsense right now. Just soothe the pregnant woman’s family so they don’t get in the way of the rescue. That’ll do! If you handle this well, I’ll speak to Director Luo on your behalf and commend your actions.”

After all, it costs nothing to write a check on an empty account, so why worry?

”Thank you very much, Doctor Ye,” the auxiliary policeman leader said hastily.

With that, he gestured with a wave of his hand, leading the auxiliary policemen to calm the pregnant woman’s family members, ensuring they did not interfere with Ye Haochuan’s rescue work no matter how agitated they became.

Doctor Ke Wensong, who had witnessed everything, thought to himself that even the city’s Chief of Police had to give face to Doctor Ye, so how could he dare to offend him?

He then proactively instructed the two nurses accompanying him, ”Come on, let’s quickly get the pregnant woman onto the ambulance so Doctor Ye can save her.”

The two nurses were a bit confused—hadn’t they just been stopping this unknown Doctor Ye from treating the patient? Why had their superior changed his tune so quickly?

Though puzzled, they didn’t dare to ask questions and obediently followed the instructions.

Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but laugh at the sight, thinking to himself, it sure is good to have powerful connections!
