Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 538: Chapter 537: Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream

Hearing him say ”I’d sacrifice myself,” Zhao Ruqian ignored him once more and snorted, ”My condition is that any beauty or skincare formulas you develop in the future must be first offered for collaboration with us, and not with anyone else.”

”That’s... aren’t you being too domineering?” Ye Haochuan was a bit annoyed, ”The formula is mine; I have the freedom to collaborate with whomever I want, don’t I? If you’re so capable, develop your own formula!”

Just then, Zhao Bingqian walked in, followed by two nannies each carrying milk tea and pastries.

”Sister, uncle, you must be tired from talking about serious stuff, right? Come and try some,” said Zhao Bingqian, instructing the nannies to serve the milk tea and pastries.

Ye Haochuan took a pastry, tasted it, found it quite good, and nodded in approval, praising it a few times.

Zhao Ruqian, who had no appetite at the moment, didn’t touch anything; then Zhao Bingqian asked with interest, ”So, sister, how’s the negotiation going?”

”How could it go? Your uncle here is cunning indeed, an absolute miser unwilling to take the slightest loss, demanding a fifty-fifty split right off the bat,” Zhao Ruqian seized the chance to belittle him.

”A fifty-fifty split sounds quite fair, doesn’t it?” Zhao Bingqian, with no experience in operations and management, failed to grasp the intricacies, instead thinking it seemed fair.

Ye Haochuan chuckled and said to Zhao Ruqian, ”See, Sister Ruqian, Bingqian has no objections.”

Directly put out, Zhao Ruqian thought to herself, if her own little sister didn’t take her side, what was there to argue about? So, she kept silent, indifferent to the outcome.

At that moment, Zhao Bingqian noticed the ointment Ye Haochuan had made, and curiously asked, ”What’s this?”

”Hehe, this is freshly concocted according to my formula, for beauty and skincare,” Ye Haochuan explained, ”Your sister had a scar on her neck before, but after applying this, it disappeared.”

”Really? That’s amazing!” Zhao Bingqian looked at her sister excitedly, ”Sister, let me have a look.”

Zhao Ruqian, resigned, tilted her beautiful white neck for her to see.

”The scar really disappeared, wow!” Zhao Bingqian was overjoyed, and glanced at Ye Haochuan, ”Uncle, you’re so talented.”

Oh, I have plenty more where that came from!

Ye Haochuan grinned, ”This beauty and skincare formula, I’ve decided to give it to you. If it brings good returns, I’ll keep supporting you. Ah, who cares about splitting shares? What’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is still yours. As long as you’re happy and have money to spend, that’s better than anything.”

”Uncle, you’re the best to me,” said Zhao Bingqian, her heart blossoming with joy, as she immediately planted a sweet kiss on him.

Ye Haochuan was smug, and even took a sneaky glance at his sister-in-law.

How frustrating for Zhao Ruqian! After all this fuss, it seemed she had just wasted her effort; considering how he’d never asked for any kickback after giving over a dozen Body-Strengthening Pills to his niece, how could he care about the split now? The talk of a fifty-fifty share was purely to tease her.

This jerk, still making fun of me at a time like this, is infuriating!

Zhao Ruqian felt extremely vexed inside but was powerless to react at that moment.

Perhaps sensing his sister-in-law’s thoughts, Ye Haochuan suppressed his laugh. Hmph, thinking you can beat me? You’ve got a long way to go, kiddo.

”By the way, sister, uncle, what do you think we should name this ointment?” Zhao Bingqian suddenly asked.

”If you ask me, let’s just call it Spot-Removing Cream,” Ye Haochuan casually suggested.

Spot-Removing Cream? That name screams of generic insincerity.

Zhao Ruqian rolled her eyes and after a moment of thought, she said, ”This thing is snow-white and smooth, feels cool and refreshing when you first apply it on your skin, then slowly it gets a bit warm, almost like it’s bringing your skin cells to life. Let’s just call it Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream.”

”Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream?” Ye Haochuan slapped his thigh, ”What a great name! Sister Ruqian, you’re truly talented. To come up with such a pleasant-sounding and meaningful name, you’re almost as smart as I am.”

Almost as smart as you? With that pig’s brain of yours, you’re not embarrassed?

Zhao Ruqian couldn’t be bothered with him.

”Alright, Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream, that’s a good name,” said Zhao Bingqian, clapping her hands, ”Sister is impressive, to come up with such an elegant name. Yes, a good name is a good start, but next comes the pricing. By the way, Sister, you’ve been in the cosmetics import and export trade and have experience. How much do you think we should price it?”

”The medicinal effects of this Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream are indeed remarkable, and its scar removal results are obvious, and I feel it’s better than many skincare products I’ve used. If the output is high, in order to capture the market, we can price it a bit lower. For a normal 300g ceramic jar, we can price it at thirty yuan a bottle.”

”Thirty yuan a bottle?” Ye Haochuan expressed his astonishment, ”Would anything I’ve made be so cheap?”

Zhao Ruqian gave him an eye-roll and said, ”Come on, isn’t it just a scar removal effect? How can we sell it if it’s not a bit cheaper?”

Ye Haochuan was completely speechless, ”I beg you, okay? Sister Ruqian, the ointment I’ve concocted isn’t just for scar removal. It also moisturizes, whitens, minimizes pore appearance, removes blackheads, lightens freckles, eradicates acne, promotes metabolism, and the effects are instant. And you’re selling it for just thirty yuan a bottle—are you doing justice to my recipe, to the effort I’ve put into making it?”

”Really? It’s that miraculous?” Zhao Bingqian was stunned.

However, Zhao Ruqian looked skeptical, ”I’ve used so many cosmetics before, but I’ve never encountered anything like yours. You must be kidding!”

”Don’t believe it, huh?” Ye Haochuan gave Zhao Bingqian a signal with his eyes, ”Go, call those two housemaids from before. If I remember correctly, one had freckles on her face, and the other had acne.”

”Oh.” Zhao Bingqian immediately left the room and called the two young maids in, instructing them to apply the Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream on their faces.

The two maids dared not disobey and proceeded to do as told.

And sure enough, within just a minute or two, the freckles on the face of the maid with freckles had disappeared, and her skin had become much whiter. As for the other maid with mild acne, her acne had vanished, leaving her face clean and pleasing to the eye.

What girl doesn’t love beauty? Seeing their faces clean and clear, the two maids were ecstatic, bouncing around excitedly.

”How about that? Now you see the effect, right?” Ye Haochuan hummed proudly, ”Lucky for me to be here, otherwise such a low price would really kill me.”

At this point, Zhao Ruqian realized how shallow she had been before. She wanted to apologize, but upon seeing this bastard’s smug attitude, she just couldn’t bring herself to say it.

But Zhao Bingqian was genuinely excited, ”So Uncle, what do you think would be an appropriate price for this?”

”Taking the quantity Sister just mentioned, one bottle for ten thousand yuan, no room for negotiation,” Ye Haochuan said heatedly.

”Ten thousand yuan a bottle? With that price, do you think it sells as easily as cabbages!” Zhao Ruqian felt almost on the verge of breaking down.

Zhao Bingqian also hesitated, ”Yeah, Uncle, this price is really too high, ordinary people probably can’t afford it!”

Seeing both sisters somewhat skeptical, Ye Haochuan scoffed, ”Hmph, although I’ve never been in business, the cosmetics industry has always been about buying the expensive, not the right. Believe it or not, let’s go to the street now, hawk it a bit, guarantee it’ll sell out.”
