Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 536: Chapter 535: Truly My Bosom Friend

”Don’t worry, sister, this investment is very safe, certain not to lose,” Zhao Bingqian assured confidently.

Zhao Ruqian hesitated for a moment and said, ”But is it necessary to invest half of your private savings? What if it turns out to be a loss, wouldn’t it be a complete waste? Don’t forget, we’re talking about an investment of over a hundred million here!”

Zhao Bingqian giggled, ”It doesn’t matter, after all, I made this money from nothing, using my wits. If I lose it, I won’t feel sorry.”

Zhao Ruqian smiled wryly and shook her head. Her sister indeed had a knack for business. Just a dozen or so Body-Strengthening Pills, and she made her first hundred million, even outdoing her older sister.

”Sister, I know you’re afraid of taking risks, so how about this; I’ll invest the money, and you, with your management experience, take care of it for me. How about that?”

To drag her sister into this, Zhao Bingqian threw out a bait.

”It’s not that I am afraid of taking risks, I’m worried about you suffering a loss.” Seeing that her sister was determined to invest in beauty and skincare, Zhao Ruqian couldn’t find a reason to refuse right away and thought for a while before saying, ”How about this, I’ll examine it first, and if it looks good, I’ll support you, okay?”

”Do we really need to examine it?” Zhao Bingqian hesitated.

Her hesitation wasn’t for any other reason; she feared that if her sister knew the project was related to Ye Haochuan, with her sister’s dislike for him, the deal would likely fall through.

Little did she know, Zhao Ruqian, with her rich life experience, immediately sensed something was off from her sister’s hesitation and quickly figured it out. She tentatively said, ”This project isn’t related to Ye Haochuan by any chance, is it?”

Zhao Bingqian didn’t expect her to guess so quickly and started to falter, ”Well... um... sort of.”

”Since it’s related to Ye Haochuan, then I’ll have no part in it.” Zhao Ruqian flatly refused. She was eager to keep herself away from that troublesome man, why would she go towards trouble?

”Sister, I advise you not to get too involved with him. What if he incurs losses? Won’t you lose out as well?” Zhao Ruqian further persuaded.

”How could that happen? Uncle won’t deceive me, and besides, the money I’ve earned is actually from the Body-Strengthening Pills he gave me. Even if I lose, I don’t really have anything to lose,” Zhao Bingqian said.

Upon hearing this, Ye Haochuan felt secretly pleased. The girl was still close to him and knew he wouldn’t trick her. Not bad.

”Sigh.” Zhao Ruqian sighed, knowing that further persuasion wouldn’t likely change her sister’s mind. She then dropped the idea, ”Since you trust him so much, then just go ahead with it. Why involve me?”

”Sister, you’re not opposed to it now?” Zhao Bingqian giggled, stepping forward and wrapping her arm around hers, swinging it playfully, ”So, you agree to dabble in this beauty and skincare venture too?”

”I did not agree to anything,” Zhao Ruqian shook her head, ”You handle this matter. I really don’t have the energy for it now.”

”Oh, come on, sister. If you don’t agree to dabble in this, no one else will. Besides, I trust uncle’s judgment; this is definitely going to be a hugely profitable business. Let’s silently make a fortune. We can’t let outsiders benefit from this,” Zhao Bingqian said cheerfully.

”How can no one else dabble in it? Didn’t you say this investment project is related to Ye Haochuan?” Zhao Ruqian still expressed no interest.

”It’s related to the uncle, but according to him, he would only provide the formula, and won’t get involved in the specific investment planning,” Zhao Bingqian explained.

”Really?” Zhao Ruqian was a bit surprised, ”He’s not involved, yet he wants you to invest? Could it be that there’s a problem with this project?”

”Sister, what are you thinking about? The uncle said he just doesn’t have the energy to manage these things. Just now, I knew he had a Medicinal Cuisine Shop and wanted to invest in it, but he disagreed because there are too many investors. He suggested focusing on beauty and skincare, because, as a girl, I know how much women care about beauty and skincare. If it’s done well, it can definitely be very profitable,” Bingqian said.

Zhao Bingqian said excitedly.

”But can you guarantee that his formula will be effective for beauty and skincare?” Zhao Ruqian asked.

”If the uncle can produce a Divine Medicine like the Body-Strengthening Pill, I believe his formula is no ordinary thing. Although he’s not always serious, he never jokes about serious matters. He wouldn’t promise anything he’s not sure of,” Zhao Bingqian said seriously.

That girl truly knows me well; she didn’t let me exert so much effort in vain.

Ye Haochuan, having listened for a long while, found that statement to his liking, and really wished he could pull her in and kiss her intensely for a while.

Seeing her sister speak so earnestly, Zhao Ruqian no longer wanted to advise otherwise, in case it made her sister think she only disparaged her, damaging Ye Haochuan’s image in her heart.

Seeing her sister not saying anything, Zhao Bingqian continued pleading, ”Sister, please agree. The estate left by our parents is almost gone. If we don’t think of something, it will all be lost. Don’t worry, I’ll provide the funds; you just need to handle the operations. Even if it fails, it won’t cost you a penny.”

Moved by this, Zhao Ruqian thought about the substantial inheritance their parents left them, intended to allow them to maintain it well. Since she had met that damn ex-husband, so much had been squandered. If they couldn’t earn it back, how would they face their parents’ spirits in the future?

With this thought, Zhao Ruqian’s initial reluctance wavered, and after pondering she said, ”Alright, since you’ve decided to invest, I’ll support you. If it indeed proves profitable, I’ll continue to invest more money. How about that?”

”Hehe, that’s my dear sister,” Zhao Bingqian was overjoyed, ”Then let’s go meet the uncle together and properly discuss the next steps of our plan.”

”I don’t need to come along, right? Since you’re investing, just discussing it with him should be enough,” Zhao Ruqian inwardly was very reluctant to get involved with Ye Haochuan again.

”Please, my sister, what use is there in me talking to him? I don’t understand all the intricacies. You, at least, have been the CEO of Zhao Corporation and have extensive experience in operations and management. You’re the best fit to discuss this with him... Wait here, I will go call him.”

Zhao Bingqian giggled, turned, and ran off before Zhao Ruqian could stop her, leaving her feeling frustrated. She had intended to avoid this dreadful troublemaker and never see him again, yet there was no escaping. Ah, could it be that I owed him something in my past life?

After a while, Zhao Bingqian brought Ye Haochuan to her sister’s room.

Zhao Ruqian knew she couldn’t avoid it anymore, so she let Ye Haochuan sit down to talk.

”Well, sister, uncle, you two talk first; I won’t interfere. I wouldn’t understand anyway,” Zhao Bingqian suddenly said.

”Bingqian, this might not be a good idea...” Zhao Ruqian felt a secret urgency. If her sister left, what would she discuss with him? What if he bullied me again, or even worse, what would I do?”
