Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 504: Chapter 503 Tracking

Yeah, how do we get across?

Hearing Su Zehao’s question, Ye Haochuan fell into contemplation, thinking that if Immortal Aunt were here, with her help, the task would probably be a breeze.

”It’s truly a pity, if any one of us had broken through to the Innate Realm by now, we could have flown across the sky with a magic sword,” Su Zehao sighed.

Ye Haochuan closely observed the terrain of the Lava Lake and, after pondering for a moment, said, ”Since there are Yashas active on the small island in the center of the Lava Lake, they must have a way to get there. Let’s search around the Lava Lake carefully; we should find something.”

”Good idea, let’s start searching,” Su Zehao agreed.

Afterward, the two of them started searching around the edge of the Lava Lake and, after about half an hour, finally found a passage.

This passage was a long iron chain as thick as the mouth of a bowl, suspended in mid-air and connecting the central island with the lake shore, appearing now and then amidst the black smoke rising from the Lava Lake.

Clearly, the iron chain was man-made, as the monsters in this deep abyss did not possess such high intelligence.

With something to leverage themselves, the two were overjoyed and immediately jumped onto the iron chain one after the other, utilizing the Light Body Technique, they skimmed towards the small island like swallows—it was a walk in the park for their level of Cultivation.

However, what they didn’t know was that just as they leaped onto the iron chain, a group of people had already appeared not far behind them, and they were none other than Quan Guanjie, Zhou Mingjiang, and Yu Deshui.

As soon as they discovered the traces of the two, especially after not seeing Senior Sister Long, they had followed up.

”Damn it, we’re one step too late,” Quan Guanjie was somewhat annoyed as he watched the two leap onto the chain.

Zhou Mingjiang’s eyes lit up, ”Senior Brother Quan, why don’t we destroy this iron chain? Let those two kids be trapped without return, constantly being with the Yashas. Maybe one day they’ll develop feelings for each other and start mating.”

Mating?

Upon hearing this, everyone’s faces revealed understanding and mischievous smiles, and even Quan Guanjie laughed, ”You little rascal, you’ve got quite the imagination to think of this.”

Zhou Mingjiang smirked proudly with a heh-heh.

At this moment, Yu Deshui, eager to show off in front of Quan Guanjie, volunteered, ”I will cut the iron chain.”

”Come back!”

But it was Quan Guanjie who stopped him, and Yu Deshui looked confusedly at Quan Guanjie, not understanding his intention.

”If we cut the iron chain and trap them on that small island, how will I settle the score with that kid?” Quan Guanjie huffed.

Yu Deshui and the others then suddenly realized.

”Besides, we need those two kids to bring back the Fire Dragon Grass seeds. If the iron chain is broken, wouldn’t we end up with nothing?” Quan Guanjie added.

”Right, right, right...”

The others voiced their agreement.

”All of you hide well here and wait for them to come out. As soon as they do, we’ll surround them,” Quan Guanjie instructed.

”Yes, Senior Brother Quan.”

Meanwhile, Ye Haochuan and Su Zehao had already reached the small island in the center of the lake, but as soon as they landed, they found the ground around them littered with carcasses.

”It seems that many fellows have been here before, but ultimately, none were able to escape alive. Moreover, judging by the torn clothes around the corpses, their bodies were torn to pieces before they died,”

Ye Haochuan pondered.

Su Zehao nodded and glanced around before suddenly pointing ahead, ”Look, isn’t that a Yasha over there?”

Following his direction, Ye Haochuan saw that, indeed, there were some Yashas moving not far away.

These Yashas were much uglier than the ones outside, with well-developed limbs, fat and round bodies, and potbellies. The two men shuddered at the sight, no wonder in the secular world of Huaxia Country, women with fierce and cunning features were often cursed as Yashas, there was indeed a reason for this.

The Yashas over there had actually spotted the two men, but their developed sense of smell had already determined that the two were of the same kind, so they just roared a bit but did not pay any more attention to them.

Su Zehao was greatly relieved, fearing that the sound of their voices would alarm the Yashas. He deliberately spoke in a low voice, ”Thankfully, your special concoction masked our scent, otherwise, they would have pounced on us and crushed us already. You must know, these Yashas are each at the Cultivation level of the Innate Realm, and with our strength, we are far from being their match.”

Ye Haochuan nodded and said, ”However, we still need to be careful moving forward, and let’s hope not to encounter any Yashas about to undergo metamorphosis into Asuras.”

His remark was not without reason, as Yashas on the brink of transformation into Asuras usually lingered around Fire Dragon Grass that had grown seeds, so they could pluck the seeds of the Fire Dragon Grass at any moment during their transformation.

And because of this, such Yashas prized their claimed territories highly, becoming alert at the slightest disturbance, and even their own kind would be regarded as enemies.

However, the concern Ye Haochuan had was confirmed an hour later.

Next to a stalk of Fire Dragon Grass they found, towering over a person in height and full of coconut-sized seeds, was a Yasha soon to undergo metamorphosis into an Asura.

To confirm this was simple, as traces of peeling skin had already begun to appear on the Yasha’s body surface.

”How can we be so unlucky?” Su Zehao said, at a loss for words.

Yet, Ye Haochuan was well-prepared and snickered, ”Don’t worry, I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve.”

”What tricks? That Yasha is at the Cultivation level of the Innate Realm, driving her away won’t be easy,” Su Zehao said.

”Of course, we can’t drive her away ourselves, so we’ll need the help of other Yashas,” Ye Haochuan said confidently.

”How exactly do we do that?” Su Zehao perked up.

”Heh heh,” Ye Haochuan gave Su Zehao a mischievous look, making him feel uneasy until he finally said with a laugh, ”There aren’t any male Yashas on this island, so the female Yashas are just like the women of the Secular World, essentially left alone in their chambers, lonely and hollow. If a sexually mature male Yaksha were to appear, tell me, would they not fight fiercely over mating rights?”

Male Yashas are actually those Yakshas that are active outside the lava areas.

However, those immature Yakshas do not take the risk of entering the lava areas. It is only after sexual maturity that they instinctively break into these areas. But, lacking the fine thermoregulatory senses of the female Yashas and highly intolerant to high temperatures, they often fall into the lava pool upon entry and disintegrate into ash.

Yet, their instinctual drive to mate remains undeterred, as they proceed into the deeper lava areas one after the other.

This is somewhat similar to the mating behavior of the sturgeon species in the Secular World.

”But where can we find a sexually mature male Yaksha at this time?” Su Zehao wondered.

Ye Haochuan grinned, ”No need to look for one, you will be playing that role.”

Hearing this, Su Zehao jumped in fright, ”Are you joking?”
