Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 527: Chapter 526 How can you describe me?

Zhao Ruqian finally gave a brief account of what had happened.

It turned out that in the past couple of days, Zhao Bingqian had been touring around with her sister to clear her mind since Ye Haochuan had returned, and she wanted to return to Haishan early to meet him. Thus, early today, the sisters had taken a flight back.

Unexpectedly, just after leaving Haishan Airport, Zhao Bingqian was accosted by a pregnant woman who falsely accused her of injuring her and demanded a hundred thousand yuan in compensation. An argument immediately ensued.

Zhao Bingqian, although wealthy, detested being extorted the most. Especially as the crowd of onlookers grew, she wanted to prove her innocence and naturally refused to compensate easily. She only agreed to accompany the woman to the hospital for an examination, promising to bear all the medical expenses.

Yet, the pregnant woman flatly refused. What was more mystifying was that the pregnant woman’s husband and in-laws suddenly appeared, all of them angrily berating Zhao Bingqian, driving her to lose her temper on the spot.

Zhao Bingqian, having spent a considerable amount of time with Ye Haochuan and even ingested a Body-Strengthening Pill, may not know any Cultivation Techniques, but her sheer physical strength was not to be underestimated. How could the pregnant woman’s family possibly be her match?

However, finding themselves at a disadvantage, the pregnant woman resorted to making a public spectacle by sitting on the ground and causing a scene, crying and wailing in an attempt to attract more attention and garner sympathy.

But what no one expected was that her theatrics would cause her to experience a threatened miscarriage, and she began to bleed there and then.

Zhao Bingqian, seeing what had transpired, suddenly realized the gravity of the situation she had caused. She knew she shouldn’t have quarreled over her pride, and she was willing to back down. She intended to help the pregnant woman up but, unexpectedly, the woman fell to the ground rigidly, no longer breathing.

The bystanders, seeing that the pregnant woman was motionless, started shouting that someone had died, and at the same time, the surrounding crowd spontaneously restrained Zhao Bingqian from leaving.

And Zhao Bingqian was so frightened that she didn’t know what to do.

It was under these circumstances that her elder sister, Zhao Ruqian, urgently called Ye Haochuan for help.

At this point, Ye Haochuan could no longer concern himself with differentiating right from wrong and immediately said, ”Sister Ruqian, where are you now? I’ll be right there!”

”We’re still near Haishan Airport, Haochuan, you... you have to hurry over!” Zhao Ruqian was close to tears.

Ye Haochuan quickly thought about the route and, after estimating the time, said, ”I’ll be there within ten minutes.”

After saying this, he hung up the phone and immediately brought out his Flying Sword Artifact, soaring into the sky with a swoosh.

Because he moved so swiftly and it was a rainy and dreary day, no one inside or outside the hospital had the leisure to look up at the sky, so his presence went unnoticed.

On his way there, Ye Haochuan braved the rain and cut through the clouds. Fortunately, he was enveloped in a thin Gang Qi Shield, preventing his clothes from getting wet.

His speed was incredibly fast, and after seven or eight minutes, he had finally reached the airspace above Haishan Airport.

Looking down, sure enough, on a road outside Haishan Airport, a large crowd had gathered. In the very center, he could faintly make out the figures of Zhao Bingqian and Zhao Ruqian, the two sisters.

Immediately, he swiftly descended onto a nearby building about seven or eight stories tall, then stowed away the Flying Sword Artifact. Taking advantage of when no one was paying attention, he leaped down from the building and quickly squeezed into the crowd of onlookers.

Before long, he made his way to where Zhao Ruqian and Zhao Bingqian were. Around them were the emotionally charged family of the pregnant woman, as well as a few police officers who had arrived upon hearing the news.

As for the pregnant woman, she was lying on a stretcher, with several doctors and nurses standing beside her shaking their heads and sighing, their expressions clearly showing they were powerless to help her.

The Zhao sisters were already terrified and losing all sense of control, especially Zhao Bingqian, who was crying so hard that her face was drenched in tears as she repeatedly explained to the pregnant woman’s family, ”I didn’t do it on purpose, I really didn’t...”

”Didn’t do it on purpose? Then why is my wife dead? She’s pregnant, you’ve not only killed her but also my child, two lives in one!” the husband of the pregnant woman roared.

At this moment, the mother-in-law of the pregnant woman completely lost control and lunged desperately at Zhao Bingqian, grabbing and pulling at her, ”You killer, give me back my daughter-in-law and my grandchild’s lives, give them back...”

Zhao Bingqian was like a puppet, allowing herself to be manhandled.

Ye Haochuan couldn’t stand to watch anymore; he hurriedly stepped forward and said to Zhao Bingqian and Zhao Ruqian, ”I’m here.”

Seeing him appear so quickly filled the Zhao sisters with overwhelming joy, and a bewildered Zhao Bingqian, her long lashes quivering, stared blankly at him before plunging into his arms as if finding her pillar of strength, sobbing pitifully, ”Uncle...”

Feeling her delicate body devoid of its usual warmth and instead chillingly cold, Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but feel somewhat distressed. He patted her back softly and reassured her in a gentle voice, ”Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, I’m here.”

Confronted with the accident, Zhao Bingqian had been desperately holding on by sheer willpower, and now, upon seeing him, her resolve crumbled, and tears burst forth like a floodgate had been opened.

Ye Haochuan comforted her further, saying, ”Alright, Bingqian, stop crying for now. I think the pregnant woman can still be saved. I need to save her first before anything else.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Bingqian’s eyes lit up with joy, ”Uncle, are you serious about what you just said?”

”Of course,” Ye Haochuan declared confidently, ”Don’t forget, I’m a physician with superb medical skills.”

Zhao Bingqian had always trusted him immensely. At his words, she excitedly pulled her sister Zhao Ruqian over and said, ”Sister, did you hear that? Uncle said he could still save that woman...”

Zhao Ruqian, with a complex expression, glanced at Ye Haochuan and tearfully said to Zhao Bingqian, ”That’s great. Although your boyfriend is detestable, his medical skills are indeed formidable. If he says he can revive her, he will.”

”Detestable?” Hearing that made Ye Haochuan feel depressed, ”Come on, Sister Ruqian, how can you describe me with that word? Please don’t ever mention those two words in front of me again. Just hearing them makes me shudder.”

If you’re not detestable, who is?

Zhao Ruqian gave him a sharp glare, and if it weren’t for the inappropriate setting, she really wanted to slap him hard across the face.

”Enough talk, time is of the essence. I need to rush to save the pregnant woman,” Ye Haochuan released Zhao Bingqian.

”Hmm,” Zhao Bingqian obediently let go of him.

Ye Haochuan then approached the pregnant woman lying on the emergency bed and quickly assessed her condition.

Pulling out his medical license, he said to the mourning doctors and nurses beside him, ”Colleagues, I am Ye Haochuan, a doctor from Haishan University Affiliated Hospital. This pregnant woman can still be saved. Please help move her onto your ambulance, I need to perform emergency treatment on her.”

However, his good intentions were immediately questioned.

”What? This pregnant woman has lost all signs of life, her heartbeat has stopped for at least a quarter of an hour, and you say she can still be saved? Do you think we doctors are just sitting around doing nothing?” The leading doctor retorted with a displeased expression.
