Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 534: Chapter 533: What’s there to be afraid of?

Indeed, as soon as Ye Haochuan pressed the answer button, he heard Wang Jianming incessantly apologizing, ”I’m sorry, Doctor Ye, I’ve been in a meeting just now, and my phone was on airplane mode...”

”It’s all right; don’t worry about it, President Wang,” Ye Haochuan said with a light smile.

Wang Jianming chuckled, ”May I know if Doctor Ye is calling to discuss our investment in the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop?”

Ye Haochuan nodded, ”That’s correct, President Wang. As I mentioned to you last time, the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop matter should be replied to within three days. Today is past the deadline, so naturally, I had to call you.”

”Oh, that’s great, that’s great. May I ask what does Doctor Ye think about our Wanda Group investing in the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop?” inquired Wang Jianming.

”Since it’s a matter of mutual benefit and win-win for both parties, we naturally have no reason to object,” Ye Haochuan replied with a smile.

”Good, that’s very good!” Wang Jianming was overjoyed.

In fact, after that day, Wang Jianming had thoroughly researched Ye Haochuan’s background and found his medical expertise truly lived up to the reputation, especially the Body-Strengthening Pill that sold for tens of millions each—simply unbelievable. This solidified his resolve to invest in the Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop.

”So, how does Doctor Ye plan to distribute the shares?” Wang Jianming asked eagerly.

”Well, you will need to wait for our Chairman Xiao Haimei to return and discuss it with her,” Ye Haochuan said.

”Okay,” Wang Jianming readily agreed.

After hanging up the phone, the Zhao Bingqian lying on the bed beside him couldn’t help but ask, ”Uncle, what’s going on? What’s this Ye Family Medicinal Cuisine Shop? Don’t tell me you’ve started your own company?”

”How could I have the capability to start a company?” Ye Haochuan replied with a wry smile, ”You know I’ve always been careless and never had the interest.”

”Then why is it named after you?” pressed Zhao Bingqian.

”This...” Ye Haochuan hesitated for a moment but eventually explained the reasons behind the Medicinal Cuisine Shop bearing his name.

After hearing the explanation, Zhao Bingqian finally understood and suddenly spoke with a slightly sour tone, ”Humph, so it turns out that Chairman Xiao is supporting you from behind.”

”What’s wrong with that? Isn’t it good that Chairman Xiao supports me?” Ye Haochuan said with a smile.

”Humph, I’m well aware of what kind of person Chairman Xiao is, with her enchanting looks. Why would she support anyone else but you? Could it be that she has taken a fancy to you?” Zhao Bingqian pouted.

As a student at Haishan University, how could Zhao Bingqian not know about the Chairwoman of the board of directors, Xiao Haimei?

”Apart from that reason, I can’t think of any other,” Ye Haochuan played along with her words, laughing.

”What?” Zhao Bingqian’s voice rose by eight tones as she sat up straight, her posture proud, and huffed, ”Then have you taken a fancy to her?”

Seeing her earnestness, Ye Haochuan knew he couldn’t dodge the topic today, so he laid his cards on the table and told her frankly about his relationship with Xiao Haimei.

However, to his surprise, Zhao Bingqian just snorted, ”At least you’re being honest. If you dare to lie to me, see if I don’t castrate you?”

”Aren’t you jealous?” Ye Haochuan was dumbfounded for a moment.

”What do I have to be jealous about? Even if I am, what can I make you do? Can you break up with that vixen for me?” Zhao Bingqian snorted, ”I’ve seen plenty of these things; you men, not a single good one among you.”

”So what are you saying is...” Ye Haochuan was a bit lost trying to understand her logic.

”What else could it mean? If you can have so many women, obviously, I can have just as many men. Who’s afraid of who?” Zhao Bingqian gave him a sidelong glance and said.

At that, Ye Haochuan finally understood her meaning. Damn, this girl really had some tricks up her sleeve, planning to put a green hat on me.

Thinking of her always independent and self-reliant nature, Ye Haochuan couldn’t help but take her seriously. Damn it, this absolutely can’t be tolerated, he huffed, ”What did you say?”

Seeing his expression darken to the extreme, Zhao Bingqian suddenly burst into laughter, ”Silly uncle, now you know what fear is, huh?”

It was only after she spoke that Ye Haochuan realized this girl had been teasing him all along.

”What’s there to be afraid of?” Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”If you do know some, why not invite me along? Let’s make some circles and crosses, a pincer move, how about that?”

”What pincer move? That sounds so crass. What do you take me for, that kind of wanton woman?” Zhao Bingqian grumbled dissatisfied.

Good, she’s not that kind of woman. Damn, she almost scared me peeless just now. Green hats are no laughing matter.

Ye Haochuan smiled and said, ”Look at what you’re saying, I was just joking with you. I apologize, okay?”

”Just apologizing will do?” Zhao Bingqian pouted.

”Then what do you want?” Ye Haochuan laughed.

”How about letting me and my sister invest in your Medicinal Cuisine Shop?” Zhao Bingqian suggested, batting her eyelashes.

”Is that necessary? You two little rich girls have plenty of money now, do you need to invest in shares?” Ye Haochuan wondered.

”Those Body-Strengthening Pills are limited in quantity; it’s only a one-off deal. How can I maintain my lifestyle without some property to my name, considering how I spend money like water? Besides, my sister just got divorced and doesn’t have her own career. Are you going to support her?”

What you’re saying... what’s wrong with me supporting her? I sure can afford it!

But, he dared not say this aloud and instead smiled, ”That’s true. Well, since you’re interested in the Medicinal Cuisine Shop, you might as well take a stake. However, how much money are you planning to invest yourself?”

”I’ll invest a million! But for that, I want a third of the shares,” Zhao Bingqian said.

Damn, one million in capital, and you dare ask for a third? Quite bold indeed.

Ye Haochuan was speechless, shook his head, and said, ”Several families are investing this time around. Not to mention the others, the Su Group alone injected 1.5 billion directly. You want a third of the shares for your one million? You sure have a big appetite!”

”No way, 1.5 billion?” Zhao Bingqian was taken aback, ”I have only two or three billion in funds, and together with what my sister has, it’s only about six or seven billion in total. Is there even a point for others to play this game?”

Seeing her look so dejected, Ye Haochuan’s heart stirred, ”Actually, if you and your sister really want to invest, I do have an idea that guarantees you’ll make a fortune.”

”What idea?” Zhao Bingqian eagerly asked.

”Invest in the beauty and skincare industry. I’ve got all the technology you need, I assure you’ll make a killing,” Ye Haochuan said.

”Really?” Zhao Bingqian said excitedly.

”Of course, really.” Ye Haochuan smiled, ”Don’t forget, I was the one who concocted the Body-Strengthening Pill. Crafting some beauty and skincare remedies is naturally not a problem. Plus, these things don’t require high tech, just formulas for modern production, unlike the Body-Strengthening Pill, for which some critical steps can only be done by me...”

”Great, I’ll go talk to my sister right away.” Zhao Bingqian quickly jumped out of bed, got dressed, opened the door, and went to find her sister.
