Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 539: Chapter 538: Why am I So Unlucky

Hearing him talk about going out on the main street to hawk their product, Zhao Ruqian was both annoyed and amused. Still, what he said was indeed true; in the cosmetics industry, consumers tend to buy what’s expensive rather than what’s right. However, the price tag of ten thousand yuan was indeed too steep.

After some thought, Zhao Ruqian spoke up, ”Selling it for ten thousand yuan isn’t out of the question, but we also need to consider the different consumer levels. Many people don’t have a lot of spending power. If we set a flat rate of ten thousand yuan, not to mention a sales boom, it could actually create a negative impact.”

Hearing this, Ye Haochuan nodded and said, ”Sister Ruqian is right. The sales of every product can’t be separated from the goal of satisfying consumers at all spending levels. Exclusively targeting the high-end luxury market will only cause us to lose the mid to lower-end market segments. Sister Ruqian, I’m sorry, I spoke too confidently earlier without considering this issue.”

Seeing him apologize to her out of the blue, Zhao Ruqian was quite surprised and her bad impression of him slightly improved; this bad egg wasn’t so stubborn after all.

”If, as you say, the Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream has many functions, I think it would be better to segment the product like other cosmetics on the market, creating differentiated positioning. For example, some Ice Muscle Revitalizing Cream could be hydrating, some moisturizing, some whitening, etc. This way, prices can come down and there are also more types of products for consumers to accept,” Zhao Ruqian said with authority.

Ye Haochuan nodded continuously as he listened, ”I’m a layman in this regard. Let’s do it as Sister Ruqian suggests.”

Zhao Bingqian giggled, ”See, uncle, my sister is pretty capable, isn’t she? With her in charge, we can just sit back and wait to collect the money and dividends.”

After having dinner with the Zhao sisters, Ye Haochuan left, remembering that Immortal Aunt was still recuperating alone in the hotel. It seemed a bit remiss of him not to check in on her.

With this in mind, he summoned his Frost Flying Sword and shot up into the vast sky, taking advantage of the twilight dusk.

After flying for about a few minutes, Ye Haochuan arrived at the hotel where Long Piaoying was staying. After searching for a while, he finally jumped in through a window.

The room was dimly lit.

Yet, there was no sign of Long Piaoying in either the living room or the bedroom.

Just when Ye Haochuan thought Immortal Aunt might have already checked out and left, he noticed women’s clothes drying on the balcony—a silk white dress and lacy undergarments that were almost tantalizing.

Then, a faint sound of running water reached his ears, coming from the bathroom.

Ye Haochuan walked nonchalantly to the frosted glass partition of the bathroom. Through the semi-transparent frosted glass, he could see the bathroom filled with dim yellow light and steam wafting up, seemingly empty.

”Weird, where is she?”

Ye Haochuan was puzzled but then noticed that the door to the bathroom was slightly ajar. Unable to resist his curiosity, he pushed the door open, only to find that there was indeed no one inside.

”Bastard! You’re asking for it!” A familiar scolding voice rang out from behind him.

Ye Haochuan instinctively tensed and turned around, only to see a girl wrapped in a white bathrobe attacking him.

His reflexes were extremely sharp, and he quickly dodged to the side.

The girl swept her leg at him again.

It must be said, her attack was fierce, but who was Ye Haochuan? He was an Innate Expert; how could he be afraid?

”Die!” The girl shouted furiously, reaching for Ye Haochuan’s throat with her right hand.

At that moment, Ye Haochuan felt a familiar sensation and looked up, only to freeze, ”It’s you... Lin Zixuan?”

This Lin Zixuan had always been hostile towards him. Now he had stumbled into her crosshairs. Damn, how could he be so unlucky to run into her?

With a head full of dilemma and also puzzled, Ye Haochuan wondered about Immortal Aunt’s place for recuperation—why was she missing? Had she already checked out and left?

On the other side, Lin Zixuan was startled when he called out her name, but upon seeing him clearly, her fury escalated. She already disliked Ye Haochuan, and now this guy appeared out of nowhere, spying on her while she bathed. If she hadn’t sensed something was off and come out in time, he might have seen everything by now.

Remembering how his annoying eyes had been staring straight at her, Lin Zixuan felt a surge of killing intent. Overcome with shock and anger, her attacks were lethal from the start.

She came from a military family and often practiced the military boxing passed down from her grandfather, so her attacks were formidable.

However, in Ye Haochuan’s eyes, these little tricks were hardly impressive.

So, he remained leisurely, as if the whole thing was no big deal.

Lin Zixuan’s anger flared, and she didn’t care about appearances anymore. All she wanted was to kill this bastard and quell the hatred in her heart.

But as the fight continued, she realized she was no match for him at all. It was like she was merely a plaything being toyed with by him.

This won’t do; I can’t keep being passive like this.

Lin Zixuan bit her lip and suddenly lunged towards a coffee table nearby. Ye Haochuan found this strange, his gaze following hers to the coffee table, which had a gun holster with a pistol neatly tucked inside it.

Damn, this girl had really lost her mind! If the gun went off by accident, no matter how fast he was, bullets were faster!

Ye Haochuan felt a chill down his spine and swiftly moved, appearing behind Lin Zixuan, pinning her down on the coffee table, his whole body pressing down on hers.

”You bastard! What... what do you think you’re doing?”

Lin Zixuan was both ashamed and furious.
