Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Lay It All Out

Unfortunately, Chen Yushan didn’t take long to place the clothes she’d left on the floor mat back on the seat, and Ye Haochuan’s desire to keep watching was thwarted.

Seeing that she was about to get out of the car, Ye Haochuan immediately resumed a dignified and upright posture, looking straight ahead.

However, Young Haochuan below betrayed him.

As soon as Chen Yushan got out of the car, she caught a glimpse and instantly discovered it!

”Ah!”

Chen Yushan immediately understood what was happening, let out a shocked cry, and at the same time, two red clouds flew onto her pretty face.

Ye Haochuan was greatly embarrassed, yet his skin was thick enough as he laughed and said, ”Sorry, sorry, it’s just paying tribute to you, the people’s police officer!”

”Tribute my ass! Shameless!”

Chen Yushan dared not continue the conversation, hurriedly opened the driver’s side door, got in, and slammed the door shut with a bang.

Ye Haochuan watched, wanting to laugh out loud!

Back in the passenger seat, Ye Haochuan buckled his seatbelt while sneaking glances at her, only to find not only were her cheeks flushed, but her ears hadn’t escaped either.

He was about to tease her when Chen Yushan suddenly glared at him, ”You bastard, what are you looking at? Do you believe I’ll castrate you?”

Castrate? That was harsh!

Ye Haochuan was startled, seeing she clearly wasn’t joking, he quickly shut his mouth. Yet inside, he felt rather displeased; so you want to castrate me, huh? How cruel!

Seeing that he had calmed down quite a bit, Chen Yushan then continued to drive.

However, there was no more conversation between the two on the way, and the atmosphere was quite oppressive.

A quarter of an hour later, the police car stopped in the parking lot of the community where Chen Yushan’s parents lived.

Upon arriving home, Chen Jianguo and his wife Xue Caining burst into tears of joy, hugging their daughter tightly as she returned safely.

Only after a while did Chen Jianguo remember Ye Haochuan, slapping his forehead, ”Haochuan, come in, come in. Look at us two old fools, we actually forgot about you. Director Luo just gave a detailed account of your rescue of Yushan. Oh right, I heard you also saved a pregnant woman who was due?”

Ye Haochuan nodded with a smile.

”Not bad at all!” Chen Jianguo marveled with great admiration in his eyes.

At this moment, Xue Caining also stopped crying and praised endlessly, ”Haochuan, we really owe you for saving our Yushan this time. If something bad had happened, there wouldn’t have been much point for us old folks to keep living. Come, come. Haochuan, come here, Auntie has prepared a table full of delicious dishes just waiting for you to come back and eat.”

By the dining table, Ye Haochuan was astonished to see a full table of dishes, even more sumptuous than the last time he had visited.

”Auntie Xue, isn’t this too much food?” Ye Haochuan asked.

”Not at all, not at all. From now on, every time you come, Auntie will make this much good food for you,” said Xue Caining.

Chen Jianguo chimed in, ”That’s right, that’s right. We’ll do this every time you come.”

Seeing how good her parents were to Ye Haochuan, Chen Yushan felt both happy and sad, but she and that bastard were not truly boyfriend and girlfriend at the moment. If they were found out, she didn’t know how to comfort the two old folks. Sigh!

Whenever she thought of her ex-boyfriend Yu Haolin, she became somewhat infuriated. He had been quite favored by her parents, but for the so-called future prospects, he had abandoned her, nearly causing both her parents to fall ill in distress. If they found out the truth now, it would probably be even worse.

Therefore, Chen Yushan made up her mind that she and Ye Haochuan would have to maintain this fake relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend.

The four of them sat down at the dinner table, chatting and eating happily.

However, Ye Haochuan distinctly felt that the topic was increasingly being steered towards his marriage with Chen Yushan.

He didn’t care. Marrying a woman like Chen Yushan, who was prim and proper in public but lascivious in private, was an evil thought in itself. He could enjoy playing police uniform seduction games on a daily basis, hmph, she dared to say she would castrate him, watch how I’ll train you!

Chen Yushan, however, seemed somewhat reluctant.

This bastard has so many women on the side; grandma here really doesn’t want to become some third party unwittingly.

Besides, this bastard had never actually pursued her publicly from the beginning. She certainly wasn’t going to demean herself begging him to be her boyfriend!

So, by the end, she said impatiently, ”Dad, Mom, don’t make things difficult for us anymore, okay? We’re both still young, and we’ve only just met not long ago. We have to let us spend more time together...”

”Spend more time together? You’re still a child, what do you know? Look how old you are now. At your age, your mother was already...”

Chen Jianguo became stern, ready to launch into a scolding, when Xue Caining tugged at him and complained, ”Yushan just finally got out of a tight spot today and you’re talking to her about this? Give them some time to breathe, young people need it.”

”Yes, yes, yes.” Only then did Chen Jianguo come to his senses and stopped bringing it up.

However, after dinner, Chen Jianguo pulled Ye Haochuan aside into the living room and began to feel him out on the matter of marriage.

”This...” Ye Haochuan looked troubled.

”You’re not willing?” Chen Jianguo asked.

Ye Haochuan kept shaking his head, saying, ”It’s not that I’m unwilling...”

Asking himself honestly, he wasn’t devoid of desire for Chen Yushan, but he really couldn’t bring himself to lie to the elders against his conscience.

He might be shameless, but he wasn’t without limits.

Especially when it came to a girl he truly had feelings for, he would be honest about his belief in polygyny and wouldn’t wait until the ’rice was cooked’ to then cause her harm with the truth.

In fact, he had been looking for a way out, but he hadn’t been able to do as he wished.

Now that Chen Jianguo had suddenly brought up this marital matter, it made him abruptly aware that this was a problem he couldn’t avoid.

Even if Chen Jianguo didn’t ask, sooner or later, Xiao Haimei’s grandfather, Old Master Xiao, would inquire about it.

Xiao Haimei was now his woman, and under no circumstances could he give her up. Chen Yushan, however, was different. Although he was intimate with her, it was only limited to touching and groping during her treatment and didn’t break the final barrier between a man and a woman.

That meant that as for Chen Yushan, he had no obligation to be responsible, and Chen Yushan still had a chance to choose happiness anew.

Thinking this, Ye Haochuan felt it was best to lay his cards on the table, let the chips fall where they may.

Taking a deep breath, he said, ”Uncle Chen, it’s not that I’m not willing. The key issue is that I have my unavoidable difficulties. I’ll tell you the truth; I’m not a man of the Secular World.”
