Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 183: Chapter 183 Hostage

At this moment, Xue Caining said with a sob in her voice, ”Haochuan, I know you are incredibly skilled. You must go and save Yushan!”

”Okay, Auntie Xue, don’t worry, I’ll contact Director Luo right now to find out exactly what happened, and then I’ll go save Yushan.”

After hanging up the phone, Ye Haochuan was dialing the number when Kou Jing asked him somewhat curiously, ”What’s wrong?”

As Ye Haochuan continued to look for Chen Yushan’s mobile number, he didn’t look up and said, ”A female police officer I know has just run into trouble. To ensure the safety of a hostage, she offered herself in exchange and is now held captive by criminals.”

A female police officer?

For some reason, upon hearing this, Kou Jing suddenly felt a sense of loss. How many close female friends did this womanizer have?

By then, Ye Haochuan had gotten through to Luo Yong’s cell phone.

Without any pleasantries, Ye Haochuan quickly got to the point, ”Director Luo, I heard that Captain Chen Yushan has been taken hostage by criminals?”

”How did you know?” Luo Yong was taken aback at first, but then he explained, ”That’s right, it just happened.”

Afterward, Luo Yong briefly described the situation.

It turned out that the criminals who had taken Chen Yushan hostage were none other than the one-eyed robbers who had previously tried to rob him and Kou Jing.

Following his report to the police, three helicopters had been dispatched not only to rescue them but also to scout for the whereabouts of the one-eyed robbers.

According to Huaxia law, individuals are strictly forbidden from owning firearms. The fact that the one-eyed robbers had guns with them was a serious matter, and the Haishan police had no choice but to respond rapidly and apprehend them.

After accessing surveillance footage along the way, the police quickly learned the whereabouts of the one-eyed robbers and mobilized forces to surround them.

And Chen Yushan was in the middle of the arresting team.

However, these robbers were outrageously ruthless. Upon realizing they were surrounded by the police, they took a pregnant woman, over nine months into her pregnancy, hostage.

Chen Yushan was at the scene. To ensure the safety of the pregnant woman, she volunteered to take her place as a hostage after making her request to the captain of the criminal police, Wang Qiang, who was in charge of the operation.

But the one-eyed robbers were treacherous, feigning agreement only to take advantage of the opportunity to seize her as their hostage. As for the pregnant woman, they never had any intention of letting her go.

Seeing his own team member taken by the robbers, Wang Qiang was furious, immediately ordering a lockdown and surrounding the area to force the robbers to surrender.

That’s how the police and robbers became locked in a standoff.

It was also for this reason that the police notified Chen Yushan’s parents, preparing them for the possibility that their daughter might be sacrificed at any moment.

Chen Jianguo fainted immediately upon receiving the phone call. Though Xue Caining was also overwhelmed with grief, she had to compose herself first to take care of her husband. Remembering Ye Haochuan’s incredible competence, she then called Ye Haochuan.

Having learned the details of the situation, Ye Haochuan was grinding his teeth in anger. Damn it, those bandits really have a death wish. They just narrowly missed killing him and Doctor Kou, and now they’ve gone after Chen Yushan. He absolutely couldn’t let them get away with it.

After Ye Haochuan confirmed with Luo Yong the current location where the criminals were surrounded, he immediately hung up the phone and said to Kou Jing, ”Doctor Kou, I have an emergency and need to leave right away,” before hustling downstairs.

Originally, Kou Jing wanted to ask what was going on, but seeing him in such a rush, she had no choice but to let it be. However, as she watched him go, a deep sense of loss welled up inside her, one that she couldn’t quite explain.

Ye Haochuan ran out of the university health center and made his way in a mad dash. Near the school gate, he hailed a taxi, handing the driver five hundred Huaxia currency notes, ”Master, make it fast to South City Thermal Power Plant. Keep the change.”

The taxi driver, upon seeing the five hundred Huaxia currency notes, immediately beamed with joy, ”Alright, I’ll get there within twenty minutes.”

Ye Haochuan then took his seat in the passenger seat, and just as he fastened his seatbelt, the taxi driver floored the accelerator. The taxi roared like a prehistoric monster, angrily, and shot out like an arrow...

Fifteen minutes later, they arrived at the South City Thermal Power Plant, which had long been abandoned by the government.

A large number of police officers surrounded the Thermal Power Plant. Inside, around thirty armed police officers encircled a three-story building, poised and ready to storm it at any moment.

Needless to say, inside the three-story building was hiding the one-eyed bandit and his gang, including the kidnapped Chen Yushan and a pregnant woman.

Not far from the building, Director Luo Yong, who was in charge of this capture operation, was repeatedly speaking through a megaphone, patiently urging the bandits to lay down their weapons and surrender.

However, the one-eyed bandit had no patience at all and kept shouting, ”Go to hell, surrender my ass! I’m asking you one more time, when is the helicopter coming? You have five more minutes! If it doesn’t show up, don’t blame me for not being nice!”

After he finished speaking, the one-eyed bandit instructed his men to keep an eye on the outside and then withdrew on his own.

As he returned to a room that resembled an office, a gang member approached him with an eager smile, ”Boss, this female cop is really something, huh? Why don’t we take her for a spin?”

”Take her for a spin your head! We’re close to death, and you’re still in the mood for this?” the one-eyed bandit scolded.

”Oh,” the gang member retreated sheepishly.

Despite his dismissal, the one-eyed bandit’s heart was fired up by the reminder. The female officer was tall and, dressed in her police uniform, she had an enticing appeal.

With cops all around, he wasn’t in the mood to go further with the female cop, but he still had the excess energy to take some advantage.

With that thought, the one-eyed bandit ordered his men to bring the female officer over.

Soon, his subordinates brought the woman to him—it was Chen Yushan.

At that time, her hands were bound behind her back with a rope, leaving her unable to move freely.

However, upon seeing the one-eyed bandit, Chen Yushan’s calm face suddenly showed a look of loathing, ”You scoundrel, betrayer! Release me now, or when my boyfriend arrives, none of you will have a place to be buried.”

”Your boyfriend?” the one-eyed bandit paused, then burst into laughter, ”And what’s your boyfriend going to do? How exactly is he going to ensure we’ll all have no place to be buried?”

”My boyfriend is that same guy who, back on Phoenix Mountain, beat you guys black and blue,” Chen Yushan declared proudly.

Since Ye Haochuan had been trapped in the valley and called for help, Director Luo had updated them with the details, so Chen Yushan was certainly aware of Ye Haochuan’s situation.

What irritated her was that this Ye Haochuan, just last night in her presence, had been all lovey-dovey with the Haishan University’s Board Chair Xiao Haimei, and now he was tangled up with another school’s doctor. It was absolutely infuriating.

But now, how ironic it was that despite her annoyance with him, she still had to use him to intimidate the one-eyed bandit.

”Ha ha, hilarious, oh that’s just too funny,” the one-eyed bandit shook his head, ”It’s true, your boyfriend is amazingly skilled, ridiculously so, but I saw with my own eyes he jumped off a cliff for that woman. With the cliff that high, both of them are already dead as doornails. What do I have to fear?”

Ignoring the one-eyed bandit’s mocking laughter, Chen Yushan snorted, ”You think he’d die that easily? Let me tell you, he’s still alive! The reason our police could track you down so quickly is because he provided the leads.”

”What?” the one-eyed bandit’s face changed.
