Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 164: Chapter 164: The Foot-Stepping Controversy

Getting the car from the Global Building went smoothly. Afterwards, Ye Haochuan drove back to school and parked in the parking lot of Building 7. Then, he sent a message in the WeChat group Zhao Bingqian had created to announce that the BMW had been returned.

Soon after, Zhao Bingqian replied with a smiley face, indicating she got it, and asked, ”Uncle, why didn’t you come back to the dorm to sleep again last night? You didn’t really hook up with some random woman, did you?”

A moment later, Lin Qingxuan, Zhang Ziyi, and Su Yingxue each sent an emoji of covering their mouths and giggling, obviously laughing at him.

Ye Haochuan, speechless, sent back a sweating emoji. ”What random woman? Behave yourself, kid, and stop spouting nonsense!”

”Whatever!” Zhao Bingqian sent an emoji of picking her nose. ”Alright, enough chit-chat with you, Uncle, we’re in class.”

Following that, the four girls in the group sent expressions saying goodbye one after another.

Ye Haochuan also sent a goodbye emoji and was about to exit WeChat when a prompt suddenly popped up: Master, add me.

No need to guess; it was Jiang Shuying!

Without hesitation, Ye Haochuan immediately added her.

In no time, a message from Jiang Shuying popped up in WeChat, which was both laughable and vexing, ”Disciple pays respects to Master.”

Accompanying this text were three fist-bump emojis.

Ye Haochuan smiled slightly. Jiang Shuying was pretty good at making a scene. He replied with a question, ”What’s up?”

”Can’t I greet my master if there’s nothing urgent?” Jiang Shuying replied, and then she sent a sweating emoji.

Ye Haochuan sent an emoji of laughing heartily in return and exclaimed in approval, ”Not bad, not bad. This master has not accepted you as a disciple in vain.”

”With Master’s words, even if I toil with brain and brawn, I am content... Speaking of which, Master, when will you teach me martial skills?”

”That...” Ye Haochuan thought for a moment, then replied, ”When are you usually free?”

”Master, I have to go around interviewing during the day. I only have time at night... How about this, Master? I’ll rent a place near Haishan University so that you can teach me martial skills in the evening. Is that okay?”

Ye Haochuan thought about it and agreed.

The two chatted idly for a while, but then the chat came to a stop as Jiang Shuying had to leave for an interview.

Exiting WeChat, Ye Haochuan headed to the school’s hospital, intending to go to Kou Jing’s office to handle the procedures for resuming his position. However, just as he entered the lobby, he heard a middle-aged woman in uniform roaring loudly, and the object of her scolding was Han Xue’er.

Next to this middle-aged woman stood another young woman in the same uniform who was also incessantly criticizing Han Xue’er.

What was going on?

Ye Haochuan frowned and took a closer look only to see Han Xue’er, dressed in a nurse’s outfit, continuously apologizing to the middle-aged woman.

However, the woman in uniform seemed not to accept the apologies at all and kept faulting Han Xue’er more and more.

As more and more people gathered around, Han Xue’er was getting so frightened she was almost crying.

Since Ye Haochuan considered Han Xue’er to be his chosen woman, he certainly wouldn’t let her be wronged. He strode over and interrupted the middle-aged woman’s rant, ”Madam, this is the school hospital, please keep it down.”

Seeing Ye Haochuan approach, the middle-aged woman said indignantly, ”How can I calm down? This little nurse doesn’t watch where she’s going, suddenly appeared in front of me, and twisted my right foot. It’s just infuriating...”

Twisted your ankle?

Ye Haochuan looked down at her right foot but found no signs of swelling at the ankle joint. Instead, it was Han Xue’er’s left foot, clad in flat sandals, that was swollen and bruised—a soft tissue contusion clearly caused by the high heel of a middle-aged woman.

”Madam, even though you’ve twisted your foot, there are obviously no symptoms of a sprain. However, this little nurse has already been injured by your high heel, and her injury is far more serious than yours...”

”Her injury is more serious than mine? What kind of joke is that?” The middle-aged woman was unrelenting. ”Who are you, anyway? On what basis do you say her injury is more serious than mine?”

Ye Haochuan frowned, thinking how can this woman, who looks so prim and proper, speak so harshly?

Suddenly, he noticed the name badge on the woman’s left chest, which showed that she worked for Huaxia Minsheng Bank, and her name was He Shuhua.

Looking at the other young woman in a bank uniform, her name badge read Luo Yan.

Ye Haochuan instantly got it—damn, hadn’t that bank Manager Su just said they’d sent someone to get the money from him? Could these two women be the ones?

Realizing this, Ye Haochuan smirked, ”Simple. I’m a doctor.”

But when He Shuhua heard that he was a doctor, instead of shutting up, she clamored even louder, ”No wonder you’re protecting this little nurse. You’re in cahoots, birds of a feather!”

What the hell, ”in cahoots, birds of a feather”? Isn’t that a bit too much? Are you living up to that bank uniform of yours? Damn it, I really don’t know how Huaxia Minsheng Bank trained someone like you.

Ye Haochuan was extremely annoyed and snorted coldly, ”Spare others when you can, Ms. He. It’s always good to leave some room when speaking. If I’m not wrong, you’re here for that three thousand yuan today, right?”

He Shuhua and Luo Yan were immediately taken aback, both of them feeling an ominous premonition—is this the guy who got the three thousand yuan windfall from the ATM?

Remembering Manager Su’s multiple reminders not to offend this person, the smugness of both He Shuhua and Luo Yan faded away.

Seeing the two women’s deflated expressions, Ye Haochuan knew he had them stunned. Not wanting to talk to them further, he supported the still-tenacious Han Xue’er beside him and said indifferently, ”Xue’er, let’s go to my office first, and I’ll take a look at your injury.”

”Okay.”

Han Xue’er nodded, but just as she took a couple of steps forward, she stumbled and almost fell.

Ye Haochuan moved quickly, reaching out to hold her steady and drawing her into his arms.

”You all right?” Ye Haochuan asked with a chuckle.

Han Xue’er turned bright red with embarrassment but, under the watchful eyes of everyone, couldn’t make a scene and just nodded shyly.

Only then did Ye Haochuan nod and say, ”Let’s go.”

Soon, Ye Haochuan brought Han Xue’er to his office. He had her sit in an office chair while he squatted down and said, ”Here, Xue’er, let me help you take off your sandals and give you a massage. You’ll feel better in no time.”

Han Xue’er hesitated a bit and said, ”Brother Ye, this...”

”What? Afraid I’ll take advantage of you? Could you please not think so poorly of me?” Ye Haochuan said with a smile.

Seeing him say that, Han Xue’er did not insist.

Then, Ye Haochuan helped her take off her sandals. When he picked up her delicate, fair foot, even with his extraordinary willpower, he couldn’t help but feel his heart warm up. Han Xue’er’s foot was just so beautiful—truly a delight for any foot enthusiast!
