Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 163: Chapter 163 Wait and See

Seeing him inquire about Ma Rong, Han Xue’er explained, ”It’s like this, that Ma Rong is the ’school flower’ of Haishan University...”

”School flower?”

Ye Haochuan shook his head in disbelief, scoffing. Could they be any more wrong? With her looks, a joke would be more like it!

If she was the ’school flower,’ where would that leave Zhao Bingqian, Lin Qingxuan, Zhang Ziyi, and Su Yingxue, four girls as beautiful as deities?

Noticing his somewhat disdainful expression, Han Xue’er voiced her confusion, ”Brother Ye, what’s wrong?”

”Nothing, keep going.”

Han Xue’er then continued, ”Originally, she had also set her sights on this apartment and had been looking for someone to share the rent with. She came over last night to talk to the landlord about the rent, only to realize that we had already rented it. However, she heard that we have a room to spare and wanted to rent it, to share with us. I called you last night to get your opinion...”

Only then did Ye Haochuan understand.

But at the same time, he was puzzled. Why the heck would Ma Rong, with perfectly good student dorms available, run off to rent outside?

Suddenly, a possibility dawned on him.

Dammit, running off to rent an apartment outside, she wouldn’t be yearning for a springtime fling, trying to bang some guy, would she?

Thinking this, he felt the likelihood was high; otherwise, why the hell would someone bother renting outside for no reason?

”My opinion is very clear, I’m absolutely against it,” Ye Haochuan stated his stance directly.

This apartment was rented out to Han Xue for his convenience to look after her later. Now to invite a sneaky-looking little wildcat who seems very likely to cheat into the home, wouldn’t that be asking for trouble for himself?

Especially if one day she brought that friend of hers named Song Zhe over, and the kid took a liking to his Han Xue, following in the footsteps of the scum from the BMW News by climbing the wall, wouldn’t that put a green hat on him?

So, he definitely couldn’t agree to it.

”But...” Han Xue’er started to say something, then stopped.

”But what?” Ye Haochuan was a bit surprised.

Han Xue’er said helplessly, ”But my brother has already agreed.”

”Your brother? Dazhuang?”

Ye Haochuan felt a bit confused; what was going on with Han Dazhuang? Had he fallen for that little vixen?

Right then, excited cheers from Ma Rong came from outside, ”Brother Dazhuang, you’re amazing, I’ve never seen a man who can cook like you.”

Ye Haochuan frowned, stood up, and opened the door, only to see the dining table in the dining room already set with some dishes: fried eggs, dough sticks, soy milk, and scallion pancakes—clearly homemade country-style dishes.

Looking at Han Dazhuang, who was clad in an apron and beaming with a smile, especially those eyes of his gazing at Ma Rong, there was evidently something different in them.

Shit, could it be that Han Dazhuang has really fallen for that little bitch Ma Rong?

Ye Haochuan had an uneasy feeling.

At that moment, when Han Dazhuang saw Ye Haochuan, he waved him over, ”Brother-in-law, haven’t had breakfast yet, have you? Come on, join us.”

Given the current situation, Ye Haochuan didn’t feel it was appropriate to cause a scene, thinking that he’d have to find an opportunity to speak with Han Dazhuang after breakfast.

So, he replied, ”I’ve actually already eaten, don’t worry about me.”

Han Dazhuang invited him again, but Ye Haochuan still declined, and Han Dazhuang finally gave up.

After Han Dazhuang, Han Xue’er, and Ma Rong finished their meal, Ye Haochuan spoke up to Ma Rong, ”Ma Rong, I heard from Xue’er that you’re planning to rent a room here together with us?”

”Yes,” Ma Rong nodded with a smile, ”What do you think, Doctor Ye? Do you agree? Don’t worry, I won’t be short on any of the rent for the shared apartment.”

”Heh, sorry, but the spare room is reserved for me to live in. If you move in, where would I go?” Ye Haochuan said bluntly.

”This...” Ma Rong’s face immediately turned into a frown.

At this point, Han Dazhuang, feeling a bit pitiful, said, ”How about this, you take my room and I’ll rent somewhere else. There are plenty of single rooms around this area. I’m a simple guy; I can live anywhere, it really doesn’t matter...”

Damn!

Ye Haochuan glared fiercely at Han Dazhuang. What an honest fellow, not helping his own brother-in-law, but bending over backward to help a stranger?

With that in mind, Ye Haochuan couldn’t bother to save Han Dazhuang any face and said sternly, ”Brother Dazhuang, this apartment is rented by me. You just follow my arrangements properly. You’re with me now, so you should be aware that you need to listen.”

Hearing his words spoken so gravely, Han Dazhuang realized that he was being paid by Ye Haochuan, held back his words, and in the end, had no choice but to shut his mouth.

On the other hand, Ma Rong clearly felt Ye Haochuan’s hostility and stood up angrily, slamming the dining table, ”Ye Haochuan, what do you mean? Are you discriminating against people or not?”

”Discriminating against people? Ma Rong, where did that come from?” Ye Haochuan said with a forced smile.

”You were clearly discriminating just now!” Ma Rong pointed at his nose and yelled loudly.

”Ma Rong, if you insist on saying that, then I can’t do much about it. If you’re not happy, feel free to leave!” Ye Haochuan said languidly.

”You...” Ma Rong was furious and through clenched teeth said, ”Fine, fine. Ye Haochuan, you’re quite arrogant today. We’ll see who has the last laugh in the end.”

Ye Haochuan didn’t bother to pay her any mind.

Afterward, Ma Rong, puffed up with anger, entered the room that was originally intended for Ye Haochuan, took out her suitcase, and before leaving, she glared fiercely at Ye Haochuan with a look that promised retribution sooner or later.

During this time, both Han Dazhuang and Han Xue’er siblings felt somewhat guilty and glared back at Ye Haochuan, forbidding them from intervening.

Slam!

The door was shut forcefully by Ma Rong.

Only then did Ye Haochuan turn to look at Han Dazhuang and Han Xue’er, saying gravely, ”Did you see that? That’s what I call lack of manners, having a temper tantrum at the slightest disagreement. Do you still dare to let her stay now?”

Han Dazhuang and Han Xue’er were silent.

Suddenly, Ye Haochuan turned to Han Dazhuang and said earnestly, ”Brother Dazhuang, I can tell that you have a particularly good opinion of that Ma Rong, but let me tell you, girls like her, who are thoroughly materialistic, are not the type you can afford to serve. Think about it, there are dormitories in the school, yet she insists on living outside the campus. Such a girl, if not crazy, is up to no good...”

After his explanation, Han Dazhuang gradually realized his mistake, expressed his willingness to take heed and vowed not to repeat it.

Ye Haochuan then breathed a sigh of relief, checked the time and saw it was getting late, and said goodbye to Han Dazhuang and his sister.

After going downstairs, Ye Haochuan was about to hail a taxi when his phone rang—it was a strange number. He answered and it was Manager Su from the Huaxia Minsheng Bank, × branch.

”Mr. Ye, hello. I was wondering if you are available this morning? We have arranged for our staff to come and collect the money...”

”No problem, but isn’t it still before the time I specified? Have them wait. They can come find me between 12 PM and 1:30 PM.”

”Uh... All right.”

After hanging up, Ye Haochuan promptly hailed a cab and headed towards the Global Building.
