Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 187: 187

As soon as he heard that Luo Yong was summoning him, Ye Haochuan was a bit puzzled and said to Jiang Shuying, ”What exactly is going on?”

Jiang Shuying explained, ”Master, those despicable kidnappers also took a pregnant woman hostage, didn’t they? The pregnant woman was greatly frightened, and her water suddenly broke, now the baby’s life is in danger!”

”What?” Ye Haochuan frowned, ”Where is the pregnant woman now?”

”She is in the room next door, the doctors from People’s Hospital are somewhat at a loss, I knew your medical skills were excellent, so I mentioned it to Director Luo, and that’s why he had me come get you.”

”Let’s go and have a look.”

Saving lives was like fighting a fire, Ye Haochuan didn’t have time to inform Chen Yushan, and hurried out of the room with Jiang Shuying.

Watching the two leave one after the other, a frosty expression suddenly appeared on Chen Yushan’s previously listless face: Master? When did this jerk take on another female disciple?

By now, Ye Haochuan and Jiang Shuying had already rushed next door.

As soon as Luo Yong saw him, he busily said, ”Mr. Ye has arrived, Reporter Jiang told me about your superb medical skills, please take a look.”

Ye Haochuan nodded, ”No problem... By the way, where is the pregnant woman?”

It was then that Luo Yong shouted to the police officers in the room, ”Make some room, make some room, what are you staring at if there’s nothing for you? Get out!”

The officers left the room one after another.

Ye Haochuan immediately noticed a pregnant woman lying on a ”sickbed” made of office desks, her face contorted in pain.

Next to the ”sickbed,” there was a doctor in a white lab coat and two women in nurse uniforms. In addition, some medical equipment like ultrasound was placed around the ”sickbed,” indicating that the hospital had made preparations in advance.

What surprised him, though, was that the doctor in the white lab coat was none other than Yu Haolin, whom he had once met at Haishan People’s Hospital.

Interestingly, when Yu Haolin saw him, his face showed surprise too, but that quickly turned into hostility.

Ye Haochuan found it amusing, thinking how small the world truly was, to run into this guy again.

”Ye Haochuan, where is Yushan?” Yu Haolin suddenly asked.

No wonder he was so concerned about Chen Yushan; he had volunteered to come to the South City Thermal Power Plant, ostensibly to deal with any emergency that the captured pregnant woman might face, but in reality, he hoped to see the likewise kidnapped Chen Yushan and that she would be moved by his unrequited devotion and change her mind.

It just never occurred to him that instead of seeing his beloved, he’d run into Ye Haochuan, his romantic rival.

Indeed, he had already heard the police officers talking about some godly Mr. Ye, an incredible mysterious expert who had been called in; he hadn’t given it much thought at the time, but on seeing Ye Haochuan, he immediately came to a realization.

Of course, aside from shock, his feelings were predominantly jealousy.

”She’s fine now, you don’t need to worry about her,” Ye Haochuan responded.

Hearing him call her ”Yushan,” Ye Haochuan felt rather annoyed. Damn it, aren’t you giving up yet?

Seeing that he had been shut down with just a sentence, Yu Haolin was fuming inside, but with the pregnant woman’s condition being critical, he couldn’t afford to be distracted and had to suppress his anger for the time being.

What he did not expect at all was Ye Haochuan’s following remark, ”The pregnant woman’s situation doesn’t look good, take a break, I’ll take over.”

Ye Haochuan spoke with considerable politeness, which was his way of showing some respect for Yu Haolin’s professionalism.

But Yu Haolin had a narrow mind, and even though he knew that the other doctor’s skills surpassed his own, his pride wouldn’t allow him to admit it. Instead, he took it as a provocation and said sternly, ”No need!”

Ye Haochuan frowned deeply, thinking to himself, you don’t appreciate kindness, do you? If this goes on, this pregnant woman will eventually be killed by your incompetence!

Just then, a freckled nurse hurriedly said, ”Doctor Yu, the situation is not good, the pregnant woman’s breath is getting weaker, there is a risk to her life, and the baby might not be saved.”

Ye Haochuan’s eyebrows knitted together, and he instantly activated his Perspective Eyes...

At that moment, a middle-aged man who overheard the nurse’s words, said anxiously, ”Doctor, you must save my wife and child, I beg you...”

It turned out that the middle-aged man was the husband of the pregnant woman.

”Trust us, we’ll do our best,” Yu Haolin said before urgently yelling at the freckled nurse, ”Quick, put an oxygen mask on her.”

”Okay,” the freckled nurse replied at once.

Then, Yu Haolin said to another slightly plump nurse, ”You, go check the fetal heartbeat on the pregnant woman quickly.”

”Yes, Doctor Yu,” the slightly plump nurse nodded in response.

Soon after, the plump nurse reported the results upon using the ultrasound machine, ”Doctor Yu, the situation is rather grim, the pregnant woman is overly frightened, there are intermittent cardiac arrests, she might be in danger of losing her life. We can only do our best to save the baby now.”

Upon hearing this, the husband of the pregnant woman was close to breaking down, he cried messily, ”Doctor, nurses, you must save my wife, I can live without the child, but you must save my wife...”

Yu Haolin helplessly tried to console him, ”Family member, please don’t panic, your wife’s condition is extremely critical, her heart has intermittent stops and could fail at any moment, we only have the option to save the child and give up on the adult, please try to understand.”

The husband collapsed to the floor upon hearing this but quickly crawled over, hugging Yu Haolin’s leg while crying, ”Doctor, I beg you, I can do without the child, but you must save my wife!”

Yu Haolin, with a look of difficulty on his face, said, ”Family member, please don’t make this more difficult for us, your wife’s condition is such that not even a deity could save her...”

”Who says deities can’t save her?”

Ye Haochuan couldn’t stand it any longer, thinking to himself, this Yu Haolin, if you lack the ability to save someone, that’s one thing, but daring to claim that not even deities can save her? You clearly don’t regard me, who possesses the Holy Hand’s legacy, the Junior Godly Doctor, at all!

”Ye Haochuan, what do you mean by that?” Yu Haolin asked with a darkened face.

He had witnessed Ye Haochuan’s medical skills and knew the other doctor indeed had exceptional abilities but didn’t think Ye Haochuan could save the pregnant woman.

”Hehe, what do I mean? Can’t you understand? I am confident that I can save this pregnant woman, and ensure the safety of both mother and child,” Ye Haochuan replied.

Hearing Ye Haochuan’s words, the husband of the pregnant woman saw him as a lifesaving straw, clinging to his leg and sobbing, ”I’m begging you, you must save my wife, I can do without the child, but my wife must be saved...”

”Don’t worry, I will do my best,” Ye Haochuan nodded.

Jiang Shuying echoed from the side, ”Get up, big brother; rest assured, my master’s medical skills are extraordinary. If he says he can ensure the safety of both mother and child, he will definitely make it happen.”

The husband of the pregnant woman finally felt some relief and stood up to ask Ye Haochuan to check quickly.

Ye Haochuan nodded and took a couple of steps forward, but Yu Haolin, looking infuriated, said to the woman’s husband, ”What is wrong with you, resorting to a random doctor in desperation? Do you know who he is? He’s just a school doctor. Do you really believe a school doctor can save your wife and child?”
