Chapter 162: Chapter 162: Personality, What the Hell is Personality?

Seeing the unusual expression on Ye Haochuan’s face, the girl named Ma Rong blushed, looking quite embarrassed.

But soon, she regained her composure; clearly, she had experienced such situations many times before and had become accustomed to them.

She certainly understood the reason behind Ye Haochuan’s peculiar expression and grumbled unhappily, ”I’m not that Ma Rong who was caught up in the ’BMW News’ scandal. It’s just a coincidence that we share the same name. When that scandal broke, I was still young, and my parents wished they could’ve changed my name, but changing a name isn’t so easy, the civil affairs bureau’s household registration management is too strict...”

So that was it.

Ye Haochuan nodded his head and his expression relaxed slightly. Although the woman’s appearance closely resembled that of the female protagonist in the ”BMW News” scandal from the perspective of physiognomy, she was not the same person. Had he been making a mountain out of a molehill?

Besides, whether she would cheat in the future or not, what business was it of my lord’s?

Moreover, if we step back and think about it, as long as her future partner is not an honest person, her marriage should not face any crisis.

However, the woman radiated an aura of peach blossoms, a sure sign of a calamitous star.

Thinking about this, Ye Haochuan chuckled and kindly said, ”I know it’s not your fault for having this name, but honestly, this name is no longer accepted by mainstream society today. You’d better change it.”

Since the ”BMW News” scandal, the term ”Ma Rong” had virtually become a synonym for the modern-day Pan Jinlian.

Not only that, but it had given rise to a plethora of profane words, very unsightly.

For example, ”you’re as shameless as that bitch Ma Rong”, ”you and your whole family are Ma Rongs”, ”you’re being very Ma Rong today”, ”you’re a cheap person, just like Ma Rong”...

Therefore, after the scandal, many people who shared or had similar sounding names to ”Ma Rong” sought to change their names to dispel the misfortune.

In addition, after inheriting the legacy of the Holy Hand, Ye Haochuan had also learned some Mysterious Techniques. From the perspective of character divination, the term ”Ma Rong” itself was not very auspicious.

Ma, a riding tool, a beast, something everyone can ride.

Rong, with the grass prefix on top, the cave character below, hiding a person in the cave, resembling split legs with a mouth in the middle, such a posture surely suggests a threesome.

The combination of the words ”Ma” and ”Rong” makes the predestined meaning even more substantive; the owner of this name is simply born to be a public bus!

So, it would be strange if Ye Haochuan weren’t particular about it.

However, the girl named Ma Rong, upon hearing Ye Haochuan’s suggestion, seemed to be stirred with a rebellious spirit and scoffed, ”Why should I change it? It’s not my fault I was given this name. I actually think it’s rather good; it’s what you call personality!”

Personality? Personality my ass! Wearing the title of a ***-flaunting whore, and you think it’s fun?

Ye Haochuan had a strong urge to bash her with a brick—damn it, you want to be a public bus, just don’t go causing trouble for the honest people, alright?

At that moment, Ma Rong added with some pride, ”Oh right, among my friends, there’s also someone named Song Zhe. Isn’t that interesting?”

”Pfft!”

Ye Haochuan almost spit out a mouthful of water—are you out of your mind, daring to be friends with someone sharing the same name as that scumbag Song Zhe, who entertains the boss by day and the boss’s wife by night? And you find it amusing?

Yet, Ma Rong’s face exhibited not even a hint of shame, instead she laughed, ”Surprised? I didn’t expect it either. To think I’d end up being friends with a guy who also happens to be named Song Zhe... maybe it’s what you call fate... But we’re different from the dog couple of the BMW News. Song Zhe and I are just ordinary friends with an honest relationship.”

Oh my god! Freaking weirdos! Ordinary friends? You two really stink alike!

Ye Haochuan was speechless. This girl, who looked quite pretty, not only refused to change her name, but she even dared to fraternize with a guy who shared the same name as the scumbag male lead in the BMW News scandal. Does your mother know about this? Aren’t you afraid your mother might beat you to death?

Honest and upfront? To hell with honest and upfront!

Out of all the people you could have chosen, why did you have to go and get involved with someone who shares a name with Song Zhe?

History can’t be repeated, but it can definitely reenact itself. If we’re not careful, ”BMW News” might make a comeback and once again become the center of public attention because of you.

At this moment, Ye Haochuan conclusively categorized this woman as someone he should not associate with, for her values were skewed, almost like a reincarnation of Ma Rong.

Ye Haochuan didn’t feel like talking to her any more and made up an excuse to head to Han Xue’er’s room.

Seemingly sensing that Ye Haochuan disliked her, Ma Rong scornfully pouted and turned to go check on Han Dazhuang frying eggs in the kitchen.

Upon entering Han Xue’er’s room, Ye Haochuan casually closed the door behind him.

At that time, Han Xue’er was wearing a floral dress, sitting sideways on the bed with her back to him, wiping away tears. Sensing his presence, she stopped sobbing.

Seeing her like this, Ye Haochuan was sure she had something on her mind.

He remembered how she had called him the previous night, and before he could say much, he had been rudely interrupted by the extremely thirsty Xiao Haimie. He hadn’t even hung up the phone when a cold sweat broke out over him. No way! Did she hear me and Xiao Haimie... doing it?

So, he tentatively asked, ”You found out?”

Sure enough, Han Xue’er nodded shyly without daring to look at him.

Ye Haochuan was immensely frustrated. Damn it, what a lapse!

But what was done was done, and no amount of hiding would change anything now.

After thinking it over, Ye Haochuan decided to come clean. He told her everything that had happened the previous night, including his affair with Xiao Haimie, without hiding a single detail from her.

Of course, he omitted the part where he had to kill Sun Yongsheng and his son, and Zhou Jing, as he didn’t want to frighten her, simply explaining that Xiao Haimie had been kidnapped by a thug and how he had risked his life to rescue her. After taking Xiao Haimie home, it was their uncontrollable urges that led to them sleeping together.

Listening to him recount the events of the previous night in detail, Han Xue’er was deeply shocked and became completely speechless.

”That’s the whole story, Xue’er. I didn’t want to lie to you because you’re a kind girl, and I don’t want you to be deceived by anyone,” Ye Haochuan said with a sincere face. ”As for what happened with Chairman Xiao...”

At that moment, Han Xue’er looked up at him with her tearful doe-like eyes filled with unabashed regret. She pursed her lips and said, ”Brother Ye, you don’t need to explain to me. I wish you and Chairman Xiao happiness, and I hope we can still be friends in the future.”

Friends?

Ye Haochuan knew that at this moment, Han Xue’er had made the difficult decision to step aside and let him be with Xiao Haimie.

Yet, this girl sure had an imagination. When had he ever said he would give her up? The young master here plans to do great things in the future, surrounded by women, embracing a life of polygamy. Letting go of a thrifty beauty like her? Only a fool would do that!

However, considering the current situation, Ye Haochuan knew it wasn’t wise to be too eager, so playing it cool and retreating was the best strategy.

With a chuckle, Ye Haochuan said, ”Of course, we’re still friends, friends for life, and we should never part, together forever and ever.”

Never part? Together forever and ever?

Han Xue’er found it strange, but she didn’t know what to say and just shyly nodded along.

Seeing her bashful allure, Ye Haochuan chuckled inwardly. He then quickly asked her how Ma Rong had ended up here.
