Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 172: 172

Looking at Huo Wendong with his eyes bulging like a pair of mahjong tiles, how could Ye Haochuan not know that this guy was burning with jealousy?

He chuckled, ”Me? How can I claim any great achievement? I’m just a humble school doctor, how can I compare with Dr. Huo who has studied abroad?”

School doctor?

Everyone in the room couldn’t help but want to laugh—damn, a school doctor, and I thought he was something impressive.

Huo Wendong was stunned for a moment, then with a face full of disdain, said, ”So Mr. Ye is a school doctor? My apologies, my apologies.”

Apologies my ass!

Ye Haochuan cursed him internally for being hypocritical. Despise me, just say it, damn it, don’t beat around the bush.

He chuckled again, ”No, no, just scraping by. As long as I can spend my days with Doctor Kou, I’m content.”

Huo Wendong’s expression instantly stiffened, clearly recalling that his ex-girlfriend Kou Jing was now also a school doctor, and combining that with what this young man had just said, weren’t the two of them working in the same place, together all the time?

With this thought, Huo Wendong was even more inflamed with jealousy, and sarcastically asked, ”Unexpectedly Mr. Ye has secured such a high position at Haishan University, truly admirable. By the way, which Medical University did Mr. Ye graduate from?”

”I’m ashamed, really ashamed. How could a poor student like me possibly be material for a Medical University? What I attended was merely a third-rate Traditional Chinese Medicine college...”

Everyone in the room, upon hearing that he graduated from a third-rate Traditional Chinese Medicine college, couldn’t help but look down on him even more. Medical colleges were already considered low-grade, and this guy even went to a Traditional Chinese Medicine college.

These days, Traditional Chinese Medicine was declining, far outstripped by Western medicine; this guy actually went to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, his brain must be waterlogged!

Huo Wendong was even more resentful—how could such an outstanding girl like Kou Jing pick such a loser?

”Then, what does Mr. Ye think about our classmate Jin Cancan’s condition?”

What ”what do I think”? Damn, I’m not Yuan Fang!

”How is there anything to think about?” Ye Haochuan shook his head, ”If you ask me, there must be something fishy going on here!”

”What fishy thing?” Huo Wendong pressed.

With a chuckle, Ye Haochuan glanced at him and remained silent, adopting a mysterious air as he half-smirked at Jin Cancan, ”I’m asking you, did your mother’s older sister visit a few days ago?”

My mother’s older sister?

Jin Cancan was taken aback for a moment, feeling somewhat baffled and shook her head.

”She really didn’t visit?” Ye Haochuan’s grin grew even more sly.

Looking at his odd expression, Jin Cancan suddenly realized what he meant, hurriedly nodded, but felt a bit embarrassed inside—this asshole, what about my mother’s older sister? He was just asking if her period had come, but had to make it sound so roundabout.

So, Jin Cancan nodded her head, but was genuinely puzzled inside—what does not being able to speak have to do with getting her period a few days ago?

”That’s right.”

Ye Haochuan snapped his fingers, then gave her boyfriend Zheng Hao a meaningful look, ”Outrageous, simply outrageous...”

What ”simply outrageous”?

Now it was Zheng Hao’s turn to be utterly bewildered—was this guy sick? What the hell did I do that was so outrageous?

”Mr. Zheng, I really must criticize you, when your girlfriend’s aunt arrives, can’t you abstain for a bit? Tsk, I don’t even bother to say more about you, how can you not have a bit of pity for the fairer sex?”

Ye Haochuan shook his head and sighed theatrically.

Upon hearing this, the entire room was sent into an uproar, realizing what he meant—damn, that’s some high-level mockery!

Huo Wendong looked lost in thought, while Kou Jing blushed with embarrassment, this big pervert, beating around the bush for so long.

Looking around at the odd expressions on her old classmates’ faces, Jin Cancan wished she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

Clearly, she understood the hidden implications in Ye Haochuan’s words.

Although she felt a bit annoyed at Ye Haochuan for exposing her privacy, after thinking it over, it didn’t seem incorrect; her loss of voice could indeed be due to that reason.

The only thing that pissed her off was, damn it, she had made a huge embarrassment of herself today.

Jin Cancan was so angry she stomped her foot, wishing she could tear into Ye Haochuan on the spot, yet just at this moment, Ye Haochuan suddenly added, ”Miss Jin Cancan, please open your mouth so I can check the damage to your throat...”

Reluctantly, but wanting to be able to speak again, Jin Cancan had to submit to his commands and obediently opened her mouth.

Watching her frustrated yet unable to explode expression, Ye Haochuan just wanted to laugh internally, damn, now you know I’m not to be trifled with, huh? A few words from me and you’re pissed but can’t do anything about it, haha!

After putting on a show of checking, Ye Haochuan said, ”Overall, the damage to Miss Jin Cancan’s throat is relatively minor, but you must be careful in the future...”

Jin Cancan was stunned for a moment before she realized what was happening, infuriated, that bastard, how despicable!

Everyone around, men and women alike, understood Ye Haochuan’s implications, wearing knowing smiles on their faces.

Only Zheng Hao felt incredibly awkward, standing to the side like a child who had done something wrong, damn, how embarrassing...

However, Kou Jing had a different perception, this big pervert, from where had he learned so many tricks?

Ye Haochuan continued nonchalantly, ”The biggest problem now is the severe nerve damage to Miss Jin Cancan’s tongue coating...”

Hearing this, the crowd again smiled knowingly; this Ye Haochuan was simply amazing!

”To restore the perception ability of the tongue coating nerves, acupuncture techniques are necessary, and we can’t delay, or it might also affect future eating and swallowing abilities...”

Acupuncture techniques?

Everyone present was a bit startled, but then they thought that acupuncture was an exclusive domain of Traditional Chinese Medicine, so it wasn’t that strange.

”Take off your shoes,” Ye Haochuan instructed Jin Cancan.

Jin Cancan was confused for a moment, not understanding why.

”How am I supposed to perform acupuncture on you if you don’t take off your shoes?” Ye Haochuan said, impatiently.

Only then did Jin Cancan realize that the nerves of her tongue coating were connected to those in her feet, and by finding the corresponding reflex zone and applying needles to the feet, it was actually meant to stimulate the recovery of the tongue coating nerves.

Although annoyed that Ye Haochuan had overshadowed her boyfriend, Fang Juanjuan was still willing to swallow her pride for the sake of making sure her boyfriend and her best friend, Kou Jing, would never reconcile, and she said with a smile, ”It’s hot outside, why don’t we go inside the villa to perform acupuncture on Jin Cancan?”

The crowd all agreed with this suggestion.

Once inside the villa, Zheng Hao brought over a chair for Jin Cancan to sit on and take off her high heels.

Ye Haochuan then put on another show, taking out silver needles from the needle bag he carried with him and inserting them into the acupoints on her feet. After the last needle was in place, he stealthily pointed into the air, releasing Jin Cancan’s Mute Acupoint.

”How do you feel now?” Ye Haochuan asked nonchalantly.

”It’s okay...”

Jin Cancan had just begun speaking when she suddenly realized and exclaimed joyfully, ”I can talk?”

The entire room was stunned!

This Ye Haochuan was truly remarkable; just a few needles of acupuncture had allowed Jin Cancan to regain her ability to speak!

Only Huo Wendong was feeling off in his heart; although he was a medical doctor educated in the United States, he had been helpless with this case, but Ye Haochuan managed to do it. Could it be that the view of Traditional Chinese Medicine being inferior to Western medicine was actually wrong?
