”Brother, are the invaders really about to come? Do you think Earth will be in danger this time?”

Within Jia’s family, they gathered for lunch, and then Jia Lin asked this question.

As a result, the whole family put down their chopsticks, looking at Jia Yan with some anticipation.

”Yes, they’re coming, and Earth will experience a great war, but it won’t be in danger of extinction.”

Jia Yan replied solemnly.

”That’s good. If anything happens to Earth, I won’t leave. I’ll stay here and share the fate with my homeland. I’m too old to want to go to any outer star; it’s too tiring.”

Father Jia Victory, usually a man of few words, surprisingly said this.

”I won’t leave either. If anything happens, let a few of the Earth kids go. I’ll stay home with the old man.”

Mother Jia also shook her head, then looked at her husband, full of approval and shared hardship, agreeing with his words.

”Mom, Dad, please don’t say that...” Jia Lin, on the side, was almost in tears.

”None of you need to leave. I said everything will be fine. There’s no need to worry...”

Jia Yan was silent for a long time before he smiled and said this.

After lunch, Jia Yan returned to the house allocated to him within Jia’s family.

”The injury of this avatar still hasn’t improved much. Even with the true body continuing to transfer energy over, it can’t heal the injury. It seems it won’t get better within a year or so.”

Jia Yan felt his injuries for a moment and then sighed heavily. This avatar really can’t compare to the true body. If it were his true body, not to mention whether he would sustain such a severe injury, even if he did, it might be healed in a few days.

He was anxious. The words spoken by his parents earlier added more pressure to Jia Yan.

Jia Yan could understand his parents’ mindset. They had never left Earth. Jia Yan had tried to persuade them to leave Earth and travel externally, but they were unwilling no matter what.

If they had gone to see the outer star, they might not be so stubborn now, but at this point, it’s too late to say anything.

If they don’t want to leave, then Jia Yan has only one thing he can do.

That is to protect the Solar System!

At least, not let the external enemies reach Earth.

This is Jia Yan’s last line of defense to protect his parents because if the war spreads to Earth, no one knows whether the Jia parents will be in danger.

”It’s different for the family of my little sister. They are willing to leave Earth, so we need to plan their way out, because I have no guarantee about this war either.”

Jia Yan just thought of some things he needed to do and was about to get up and leave Jia’s family when he heard a knock at the door.

”Come in.”

He frowned a little, but in fact, he already knew who it was.

But Jia Yan didn’t have much time. Coming home was stealing time, as he was about to go to space for the Earth Fleet’s emergency training.

The door opened, and a strikingly beautiful scene appeared before Jia Yan.

It was a great beauty in a red dress, with light makeup, who had an aura with a hint of seductive charm.

She was Samo Ling, the alien with an unknown entangled relationship with Jia Yan.

”Jia Yan, I’m going to space with you,” she said directly upon entering.

”No, your strength is insufficient. This opponent is not average, and a mere Star Space Level can’t contend with them.” Jia Yan shook his head.

He didn’t know what kind of feeling he had for Samo Ling. It seemed to surpass that of an ordinary friend, but he didn’t quite like her in that way. In short, it was very conflicting.

”Given your current strength, you might not even be able to beat me. If you can go, then I can go too.” Samo Ling’s face and tone remained the same as usual, exuding an icy beauty.

Jia Yan shook his head helplessly. Even though he was injured, with the black hole within, coupled with the constant energy transfer from the true body, dealing with a mere Star Space Level was still easy, but he couldn’t possibly actually fight Samo Ling.

”How about this, you can come if you want, but don’t interfere with my affairs. Also, no matter the situation, if I need you to leave, you must leave. If you agree to these terms, come with me; my time is tight.”

Jia Yan said no more and immediately started walking towards the door.

No surprises, Samo Ling followed.

”I know more about the Biochemical Empire than you do, maybe I can help.” Samo Ling said as she quickly followed.

Jia Yan nodded, said nothing, and directly flew off outside the house.

Samo Ling followed. Her perfect figure lightly touched the ground, taking off elegantly.

Though even with Jia Yan injured, his flying speed wasn’t something Samo Ling could keep up with, especially when flying out of Earth’s atmosphere, Samo Ling could hardly overcome gravity, struggling hard.

After all, she was just at the early Star Space Level. In theory, she could break through the starry sky freely, but it didn’t mean she could really traverse it at will.

Jia Yan sighed helplessly and then released a wave of Brainwave Power, enveloping Samo Ling and flying towards space like lightning.

Watching Jia Yan flying ahead, Samo Ling’s dark eyes were lost in thought, and then she slightly curled her red lips and smiled faintly.

Perhaps it was her first time showing such a natural smile as a human before Jia Yan—so beautiful that it took one’s breath away—, but unfortunately, Jia Yan flying ahead was still pondering things and didn’t notice her smile at all.

Below, in the Jia family’s complex, a small figure on the ground looked up at the starry sky, seeing nothing visible.

”Mom, go for it.”

Jia Rong raised a small fist and shouted loudly at the sky.

”This little brat!”

Above the sky, Jia Yan shook his head slightly.

It wasn’t a moment for Jia Yan to indulge in romance, and although he didn’t have much prejudice against Samo Ling anymore, his feelings for her were still not love, so he had no intention of getting involved with Samo Ling this time.

”Lord Jia Yan, the fleet has been prepared for a day and is more or less ready to set sail.”

Just as Jia Yan flew out of the atmosphere, a vast fleet had arrived before him.

Or rather, it had been waiting there all along.

This was a fleet composed of over three thousand battleships. Although most couldn’t match the Great Empire Battleship, they were certainly much better than the junk Earth people made ten years ago.

Some of these ships were made by Earth people themselves, while more were gifts from various civilizations or bought by Earth people at a price.

This was currently Earth’s only formally organized cosmic power, and most were well-trained. Of course, in Earth’s perspective, compared to fleets from alien civilizations, not only was the crew’s quality lacking, but the battleships’ combat experience was worlds apart.

The Earth Fleet had been on standby in space for a long time, their formations brimming with the determination to defend their world.

”Very well, let’s depart, but time is pressing this time, so we’ll conduct the training directly at the thirty-thousand-kilometer orbit of Earth without going further.”

Jia Yan nodded and directly led Samo Ling into the flagship of the Earth Fleet.

Battleship training was supposed to take place at least a million kilometers away from Earth, which was a rule Jia Yan personally established back then.

But there’s no time now; Earth is in imminent danger, and such a minor rule naturally gets ignored.

”Lord Jia Yan, long time no see.”

Inside the flagship, a seemingly female red-haired figure stood adorably at the hatch, smiling as she welcomed Jia Yan upon seeing him.

Her appearance was also extremely flawless, especially with her red hair that differed from typical Earth people, making her stand out like a crane among chickens, with hardly any Earth woman able to match her beauty.

”Hmm?”

Following behind Jia Yan, Samo Ling seemed to realize at first glance that this woman had an unusual relationship with Jia Yan. Then she looked at the other woman carefully, quickly becoming familiar with her face.

Turns out Samo Ling had met her decades ago, and they even had some grudges between them.

”Daphne, you’ve already withdrawn from the Ru Lan Empire? Very well, your command ability with the battleships can definitely help me to some extent.” Jia Yan’s eyes lit up when he saw this woman.

She was, in fact, the Ru Lan Empire Biochemist ’Daphne,’ who had once accompanied Jia Yan to the Grey-Yellow Star, experiencing many thrilling battles and eventually escaping from the Grey-Yellow Star together!

Since appointing her as the Ru Lan Empire Ambassador, it had been many years since they last met.

But after all these years, Daphne seemed unchanged.

Which wasn’t surprising, as she had already lived for over three hundred years previously, and with a strong genetic foundation, her lifespan was still long, so it’s unsurprising that she’s still youthful.

”Mrs. Samo Ling, hello.” Daphne greeted Samo Ling, who was behind Jia Yan, with a nod and a smile, though a touch of hostility in her eyes was still easy to discern.

”Hello.” Samo Ling’s expression remained cold, with her eyes reflecting Daphne’s face, seeming less than friendly.

Jia Yan shook his head helplessly, but before he could say anything, the other Earth Fleet high-ranking officials had already approached, starting to introduce the current state of the fleet.

From their words, Jia Yan learned about the actual condition of the Earth Fleet now.

Among these high officials, the extraterrestrial old guards from back then still occupied a significant portion; after all, Earth people without real combat experience couldn’t possibly fully take over the fleet’s leadership now.

This was also something Jia Yan was committed to doing. As long as Earth people gradually accepted some extraterrestrial colleagues, then those Earth power extraterrestrial beings he brought that year might truly integrate into Earth civilization someday. At that time, the entire Earth people would unite as one, with everyone working together to develop.

”You mentioned that the fellow Outsiders stationed on Mars would also dispatch a fleet over?”

Jia Yan was slightly taken aback when he received this piece of information.

Within this line, there was plenty of intelligence; firstly, the settlers originally part of the Earth power on Grey-Yellow Star stationed on Mars had now developed a fleet of their own, which Jia Yan genuinely never knew about.
