”Princess, these words were spoken to me directly by your mother. She said your temperament is identical to hers when she was young and asked me to remind you a little. Otherwise, if something were to happen to you, we would all be very saddened.”

”Stop it, all of you saddened? I don’t buy it!” Jia Qi instantly became displeased upon hearing these words.

”Especially people like you, it’s only because of my uncle that you respect the Jia family. Now that my uncle is missing, you wouldn’t be saddened by anything happening to me!” she almost exploded with a roar.

”Alas...” Pipa let out a long sigh, then walked out of Jia Qi’s combat room.

Jia Qi looked at her figure, and a twinge of regret surfaced in her heart. She felt she shouldn’t have said those words.

Pipa Aunty came to the Jia family when she was young. Although she came with a purpose, she later truly became like family, not only protecting mom but also building a great relationship with her.

But lately, the behavior of those civilizations made Jia Qi uncomfortable, even Pipa Aunty’s civilization was like that. After her uncle Jia Yan disappeared, those original representatives of civilizations that used to visit and give gifts daily, no longer interacted with the Jia family.

Even Earth people were the same. When Jia Yan disappeared, the Jia family’s status became awkward.

Although many in Earth’s upper echelons were vaguely aware that the Jia family had a subtle relationship with the Giant Mosquito tribe, many Earth leaders still gradually distanced themselves from the Jia family.

This is why Jia Qi joined this battle, with a determination to carve out another future for her family.

”My uncle is not dead! Moreover...” Jia Qi recalled the words her mother spoke to her in the secret chamber at home before she left.

”The senior assassin, also has a bit of a relation with my Jia family. Although mom wouldn’t say what the relation is, she said it’s not further than with uncle Jia Yan! She even gave me this pseudonym, Little Thorn Qi.”

Thinking of her mother’s mysteriousness, Jia Qi felt her family was indeed remarkable, not just her powerful uncle but the relation with the Giant Mosquito tribe.

”But that’s not what I want. In the future, I want to achieve status by my own hands, not relying solely on my uncle or the Giant Mosquito!”

Jia Qi didn’t quite like the Giant Mosquito assassin. It wasn’t a matter of like or dislike, just that after its vague emergence, it replaced her uncle Jia Yan’s status, which she didn’t appreciate.

Doha had been consistently visiting the bridge for several days, seemingly waiting for the beautiful girl he had seen before.

But whether at the bridge or in the new combatant training room, he did not see her.

They were aboard an Earth battleship from the Great Empire, serving as the flagship of this sub-fleet, which was notably advanced.

Being over two kilometers in length, with more than 2,000 personnel including support staff, finding a person in such a massive, access-restricted battleship wasn’t easy, hence Doha was disappointed for several days.

”Alas, it’s not like I want something to happen with that girl, just want to see her again.”

Doha, disappointed again that day, waited in the bridge for a whole hour before heading to his combatant room, ready to give up.

”Oh, Doha, what a coincidence.”

Just when Doha was at his wits’ end, a clear and pleasant female voice shook him to his core, and he turned around.

Sure enough, behind him stood the figure of the girl who had captivated his dreams.

Little Thorn Qi was still wearing her pilot light armor today, perfectly fitting armor that gave her a valiant air.

”Miss Thorn, hello.”

”Haha, don’t call me Miss Thorn, it’s not nice. Just call me Xiao Qi.” Little Thorn Qi laughed crisply, then came near Doha.

Doha’s heart was nearly bursting, catching the faint scent from the girl. Despite being the top rookie pilot on this battleship, he found himself at a loss.

”Xiao, Xiao Qi, which unit are you from? I’m also a mech warrior, but, but I haven’t seen you these past few days.”

Upon hearing Doha’s words, Little Thorn Qi seemed deep in thought but merely accompanied him to the edge of the bridge, gazing at the space scenery outside the skylight.

”I haven’t been well these days, but I’ll be joining your training soon.” She smiled: ”I heard you’re the best among the rookies this year? In future battles, you must protect me, okay.”

Looking at Little Thorn Qi’s blinking large eyes, Doha felt his heart beat even stronger, and he quickly responded loudly: ”I definitely will, even if it costs me my life!”

”Hahaha, I was just joking with you. I don’t need your protection.” Little Thorn Qi seemed to cheer up and laughed crisply.

Doha initially didn’t understand the meaning of these words, but by afternoon, he knew.

Because that afternoon, Little Thorn Qi made her first stunning appearance in the training lineup, leaving almost everyone slack-jawed.

Alone, inside the virtual training machine, she challenged the top ten new pilots one by one, winning with remarkable ease. In the end, she even faced all ten at once and still emerged victorious!

Immediately, several top official pilots responsible for training the new recruits stepped forward to battle her, but she won decisively again.

Finally, a human-like female of unknown species, seemingly in her twenties, came forward to fight against Little Thorn Qi. After a dazzling battle lasting more than ten minutes, she barely managed to defeat Little Thorn Qi.

”Hmph, this is boring. I’m done playing!”

Seeing the female, Little Thorn Qi’s mood inexplicably turned sour. After her defeat, she exited the virtual training cabin and left abruptly.

”It seems she truly doesn’t need my protection... but I will become stronger!” Doha watched as Little Thorn Qi departed amidst the stunned silence of nearly everyone present, clenching his fists secretly.

Just moments ago, he fought against Little Thorn Qi and was defeated in an instant, realizing a fundamental gap that left him almost in despair.

Jia Qi, having just lost, angrily returned to the combatant’s room, not wishing for Pipa, who had beaten her, to follow her in.

”Princess, your mecha combat skills are getting more formidable, but if you could control your emotions better during battles, you would perform even better. Perhaps next time I won’t be able to defeat you.”

Pipa came to Jia Qi’s side, offering comfort.

”I got it, leave me be. I want some peace and quiet.”

Jia Qi pouted, turning away from her, lying on the bed.

Pipa withdrew helplessly, while Jia Qi gazed at the steel ceiling above her room.

Others might think her stunning performance arose from her privileged background, but only she knew the truth. Since childhood, she aspired to be as strong as her uncle and underwent grueling training others couldn’t even imagine to gain her current abilities.

Yet, her level of skill was not unparalleled; many could still defeat her.

”If only I had the strength of my uncle... no, if I had the strength of the Giant Mosquito, how great would that be?” she longed, extending her delicate little fist.

Jia Yan, far off by billions of kilometers, was unaware of his niece’s unstable mindset at the moment. He busily hurried along the way.

Yet he understood that with enemies attacking from five directions, Earth must be in turmoil once again.

However, this turmoil was advantageous for Jia Yan. During the recent wars on Earth, he noticed the Earth people gaining a unique resilience amidst endless suffering!

”They still don’t know that I can completely defeat the enemy. Now they must be scrambling, but I consider this a form of training. Moreover, it will make Earthlings realize that status does not represent actual influence. Other civilizations respect Earth mainly because of me, but this situation will make Earth recognize its greatest problem...”

Inside the Superfast Battleship, Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes glimmered deeply.

”That problem is lacking foundation. Without me, Earth would constantly face crises. A civilization launching into war without depth, always putting the mother star at risk, won’t change. Even if I grow stronger, Earth could still fall into danger.”

This time, Jia Yan embarked without communicating with Earth’s high authorities. Hence, Earth had no knowledge of his imminent arrival. Under such a war scenario, they would consider more factors. Even if Earth becomes popular again because of Jia Yan, it won’t remain focused solely on money and indulgence as before.

”Recent changes on Earth are apparent to me through the internet. Despite wealth, they reorganized businesses instead of enhancing military infrastructure or establishing foundational systems, which is utterly foolish.”

Jia Yan observed that when foreign capital flowed massively into Earth, perhaps relying on the Giant Mosquito as a backbone, they forsook military investments for real estate speculation, which dissatisfied Jia Yan.

Now it’s time they learn a hard lesson.

In the Gravity Wave System, the Superfast Battleship moved at incredible speed, emitting strange noises frequently. Despite its materials, it was still unlikely to sustain prolonged use within the gravitational waves.

Yet, it will surely endure until the war ends.

Finally, in Jia Yan’s swift pursuit, he reached the fleet of the Biochemical Star Domain Force’s first batch!

”Hmm? The Gravity Wave System detected a massive energy reaction outside. It seems I’ve caught up with the first batch.”

Inside the Superfast Battleship, Jia Yan’s gaze flickered slightly.

Then he raised his head, turned to the controls of the Superfast Battleship, and wielded his Brainwave Power, guiding the ship slowly out of the gravity wave channel...

Outside this gravity wave channel, surely, was a fleet of a thousand battleships rapidly navigating through the universe space.
