Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

”But this has nothing to do with me. Next, it’s the Ru Lan Civilization’s turn.”

Arriving at the Ru Lan Empire, Jia Yan sensed the possible undercurrents from the Auster Empire and pondered briefly for the Empress, then disregarded it.

Because he had a bigger mission to accomplish.

”By now, that force should also be slowly devising a way to deal with me, right?”

...

The appearance of Jia Yan was like seeing a savior for not only the civilizations inside the Orion Arm but also gave the invading biochemical forces a sense of disbelief.

”This... can someone tell me, what exactly is the origin of this Giant Mosquito species!?”

Near the side of the original Kawai Defense Line, there was a gigantic metal creature made of steel.

This creature was imposing, making anyone who saw it unconsciously feel an insurmountable sense.

And that was indeed the case. This metal creation was an ’interstellar fortress’ assembled piece by piece by the external forces after invading the Orion Arm, using scavenged resources from within.

The interstellar fortress was a universal war weapon in powerful starfields, and such a terrifying weapon couldn’t be compared with the likes of battleships.

Inside this interstellar fortress, a group of invading creatures was holding a high-level meeting.

”Lord, we really can’t find the origin of this Giant Mosquito species. We don’t even know how it appeared on Earth.”

”That’s right. According to information from Earth civilizations, this species resembles some kind of blood-sucking creature on Earth, but they’re too different in size and power. We don’t think the Giant Mosquito is an Earth species, but elsewhere in the Orion Arm, there’s no other similar species.”

”Know nothing? Hmph, what is your intelligence department even doing? Fine, assuming you have difficulties with intelligence, let’s discuss how to deal with him now.”

”Well, Lord, according to our observations and information, the Giant Mosquito species seems to only appear one at a time. The one appearing now looks about semi-permanent star level, but we are certain that its talent is definitely at the genius level. Killing beyond its level is as easy as drinking water, so to deal with it, we must have an even stronger semi-permanent star level, or set up an all-encompassing trap to kill it.”

”Stronger than the average semi-permanent star level, there are only a few of us commanders. Do you want us to take action personally? Hmph, the Giant Mosquito species is not worthy! Anyway, try the second method first. You have one month—make sure that Giant Mosquito dies!”

”Yes...”

Within this interstellar fortress, the voices of strong ones echoed, and after the discussion ended, several warships set off in all directions with orders.

”The lords are unwilling to act personally, not because of any strong one’s dignity issue, but because they are not confident against that Giant Mosquito and are just being cautious.”

Inside a single strong warship, a terrifying creature watched the interstellar fortress behind with a grievance in its heart.

”That sector of the starry sky is under my responsibility. Now that the opponent has already taken the Auster Empire, if I don’t respond quickly, my position will be at risk.”

This creature felt extremely frustrated. The commanders were cautious, and he didn’t want to take risks, especially after seeing that terrifying ’Giant Mosquito,’ who could easily defeat three semi-permanent star creatures at once—this made him even more apprehensive.

He didn’t want to take risks either, but seeing no other choice, he decided to go against his better judgment and proceed.

”My power is more than twice that of an average semi-permanent star level captain, being a middle semi-permanent star existence. Even though the opponent’s strength may be fearsome, facing me, he probably can’t kill me instantly.”

”But I won’t engage in direct combat easily. As long as I arrange traps and encirclement tactics, no matter how powerful he is, it will certainly lead to his death.”

He made his calculations and then entered subspace with his single-person warship, heading forward.

The more advanced the civilization, the less of a secret subspace becomes.

The reaction of the external invading forces was even faster than Jia Yan had anticipated.

While they divided their forces to aid within the Ru Lan Empire’s territory, they also dispatched fleets rapidly flying towards the direction of Earth civilizations.

”Hm? They’re heading to Earth, trying to stretch my limits?”

In the starry expanse, Jia Yan looked at the intelligence data, feeling a heavy sense of gravity.

”With the surrounding Solaris system civilizations yet to be recovered, they can move freely in uninhabited territory, but once I recover the Ru Lan Empire, they will have only one route to attack Earth. At that time, I won’t be so constrained.”

”However, if they think this will force me to make a quick defensive return, they’re mistaken.”

When Jia Yan learned that the other side had dispatched forces to Earth, he disregarded it.

He continued his onslaught within the Ru Lan Empire, his presence almost omnipresent throughout the starfield.

”Why? Isn’t the Giant Mosquito species the guardian deity of Earth people? It’s odd he’s not defending.”

”Our plan was to harass Earth civilizations continuously as he returned to defend, then set a deadly trap outside Earth to lure him into it. But now, he’s completely disregarding Earth—how should we deal with this!”

The entire high-level echelon of the external invading forces was utterly shocked by Jia Yan’s response.

But with actions taken this far, they no longer concerned themselves. If the Giant Mosquito abandoned Earth civilizations, they would simply seize the opportunity to take it.

The sweeping tide of the Giant Mosquito within the Ru Lan Empire continued unabated.

That day, Jia Yan attacked a star he had once visited.

”Sigh, yet another landscape filled with wailing and desolateness... those invaders truly deserve to die.”

Looking at the wreckage before him, along with many bodies of the Ru Lan Empire people, Jia Yan shook his head.

He encountered such scenes many times while cleansing planet after planet, but each time, he couldn’t help but frown.

However, he didn’t show much emotion, just let out a sigh and flew directly towards a certain direction on the planet.

There, another batch of metal machines roared as they carried out environmental transformation.

”Destroy them!”

Jia Yan said faintly as his brainwave power erupted, along with a stab from his forefoot.

In a matter of seconds, the entire area exploded into a scene resembling the end of the world, raising a cloud of dust.

The machines were instantly annihilated.

”Alright, let’s see if the time is right.”

Jia Yan looked at the starry sky, then with a step, entered the interstellar space.

There, a flat-shaped craft silently docked atop the celestial body.

Jia Yan was not returning to defend Earth not because he didn’t want to, but because it wasn’t necessary to return so early.

He had anticipated such a scenario long ago, considering he was the only top combat power inside the Orion Arm. His concern about Earth was bound to be exploited by enemies.

So he had already devised countermeasures!

”They merely think I can’t quickly return, right?! But these external invaders might not know that inside our Orion Arm, although there is no subspace system, another system absent from outsiders has been innovated...”

”Gravity wave system!”

A glint of brilliance appeared in Jia Yan’s eyes.

He knew the gravity wave system was still in the research stage for surrounding external civilizations. Yet, within the Orion Arm, thanks to several powerful seniors who conducted gravity wave development years ago, gravitational wave channels are everywhere. Moreover, the Great Empire has fully utilized the gravitational wave system in the past few centuries, at least for rapid movement.

The invading forces probably haven’t acquired this information. After all, this system is only in the initial testing phase for the Great Empire and hasn’t been utilized in the war, so they simply didn’t employ it.

”Generally speaking, unlike the gravitational waves experienced when I left the Orion Arm, aside from the Evolutionary Creature’s body, almost no other matter can traverse. However, the system used by the Great Empire is different, akin to the subspace system, where although speed in the underlying layer might be slower, one can board a craft.”

Jia Yan entered the superfast battleship, then opened the control panel, integrating a gravitational wave system map and system previously given by the Great Empire into the superfast battleship system.

Initially, he intended to use his body for gravitational wave traversal directly, but since Xi Bala had prepared the superfast battleship for him, he might as well try it. Perhaps it would be more comfortable than traversing himself.

A few seconds later, the system integration was successful, given that the superfast battleship was a highly advanced craft prepared by Xi Bala. Its external system was initially very mature.

”Start, enter the gravitational wave!”

Jia Yan pressed the superfast battleship’s travel button.

The superfast battleship moved like a beast slicing through the waters of the star sea, abruptly leaping into action!

A white chilling glimmer appeared in space.

Jia Yan’s brainwave power rapidly surged out, aiding the not-so-compatible superfast battleship engine in opening the gravitational wave space.

A vast glow emerged before his eyes, which reminded Jia Yan of the spectacular scene when he reached the Northern Star Domain using gravitational waves years ago.

”It indeed opens, although it’s unstable, it’s absolutely safe...”

”Enter!”

A slight joy leaped in Jia Yan’s heart, no longer concerned whether the superfast battleship might explode or dismantle upon entry; anyway, even if it were to disassemble, his body would remain unharmed.

With safety assured, Jia Yan entered the gravitational wave before him without any fear.

”Be sure to fly in the shallow layer; going deeper is too terrifying!”

The glow intensified, and when Jia Yan glanced back, the starry sky behind had already vanished, with the entire superfast battleship completely entering the gravitational waves.

The whole hull trembled constantly, yet showed no signs of disintegration.

”Indeed, the superfast battleship can enter.”

A slight joy filled Jia Yan’s heart, then a fierce glint grew in his compound eyes.

”Thinking of attacking Earth while I’m away? Just wait.”

The gravitational wave system, even with surface-level flight, exceeds the speed of typical subspace flight methods.

Of course, the danger level is also higher, with flight paths being unstable. Yet, with the Great Empire’s relatively mature foundational theoretical support, the current superfast battleship would not encounter significant danger or deviations.

”Solar System, I’m back...” Seeing no danger, the busy Jia Yan relaxed within the superfast battleship, restoring the automatic operating system.
