Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1518: Chapter 26: Arrival! [Request for Official Subscription]

A group of Earth people, almost all in this final moment of despair, began to pray to the ’Giant Mosquito Clan’, which has nearly become a legend.

This is a kind of last faith buried deep within the heart.

Since ’Jia Yan’ took charge, some Earth people arrogantly believed that Jia Yan would never favor the Giant Mosquito Clan. Moreover, since Jia’s family didn’t say anything, a hidden hand gradually erased anything related to the Giant Mosquito Clan that Lord Jia Yan might not like.

Even after reaching the starry sky, other alien civilizations saw the Earth’s strange ’Giant Mosquito Legend’ and thought it was an illusion collectively produced by Earth people in extreme despair. They even thought the person who was saving Earth from crisis might be Jia Yan, but due to a strange cultural extinction, Earth people credited the so-called Giant Mosquito belief.

Many civilizations secretly mocked that Earth civilization was still a primitive civilization full of faith because real faith civilizations were rare in the universe.

In such a situation, as Jia Yan remained silent, matters related to the Giant Mosquito Clan became less and less, increasingly rare to see.

But the existence of the Giant Mosquito Clan changed in meaning, becoming a kind of mental existence for people, as if...

True faith!

Whether illusion or reality, in any case, in this moment of despair, without Jia Yan as their guardian deity, the only salvation Earth people could think of was the Giant Mosquito!

This voice, tremulous and resonant, almost shook heaven and earth!

On the battlefield, a number of Earth soldiers, likewise, in moments of despair, started to mention the Giant Mosquito.

”Xiao Wen, you talked about the Giant Mosquito yesterday, right? Can you tell me again now?”

This was a soldier with an injury on his head.

The battleship he was on had been hit by a shell earlier, and although the enemy’s shot missed slightly, the entire rear part of the battleship had disappeared. Now the power system was overloaded, sparks flying inside the battleship.

The injured soldier had hit his head on the console, causing it to bleed. Yet, with a grim smile, he quickly operated the artillery system with his fingers.

Explosions roared from the rear, cabin after cabin blew up.

It wouldn’t be long before the explosions reached the artillery control room, and the few still alive there had no chance of escape.

”Ha ha, didn’t you say you didn’t believe in the Giant Mosquito? Damn, the first time to smoke on a battleship, what a thrill...”

The soldier called Wen Xiaowen was a young man who seemed to have a poor temperament. He now held a cigarette he had hidden for a long time. The smoke burned, but the trembling of his fingers revealed his fear and despair.

”Just tell us, you kid, you really seem like a believer in the Giant Mosquito faith, more and more so the more I think about it. You’re even wearing a Mosquito Pendant.”

”You guessed right, I do believe in the Mosquito God. Legend has it, in times of despair, the Mosquito God would come with divine light to save people...”

Xiao Wen answered as he swiftly operated the controls with his fingers, pressing several buttons on the electronic screen. Several soldiers on the side laughed at the same time.

”Come on, guys, let’s blast it!”

A few soldiers simultaneously pressed the launch authorization button.

Then, in the last moment before its destruction, the broken Earth battleship, with only half remaining, suddenly shone with a glimmer.

As it exploded violently, the main cannon flashed its brilliance, and an unexpected beam shot from the battleship presumed lifeless.

Not far away, a Biochemical Starfield Forces Battleship chasing several Earth battleships was directly hit!

Heaven and earth were engulfed in dazzling light.

After the flash, that battleship suffered only minor damage to its flank, slightly affecting its flight.

It abandoned the chase and turned towards the damaged battleship here.

”Yeah!”

In the ruined battleship, the surrounding explosions grew louder, but the young soldiers in the artillery chamber exchanged high-fives.

Though they didn’t destroy the enemy battleship, they were as jubilant as if they had achieved some victory.

Then, they turned, all gazing at the screen outside, at the damaged enemy battleship slowly closing in.

”Come on, brothers, I still have a few cigarettes here. I didn’t usually want to smoke them, but now let’s share and try them together.”

Xiao Wen took out a cigarette box, and with trembling fingers, threw each cigarette to his comrades around.

”Ha ha, you kid, you’re pretty thoughtful.”

A few of them caught the cigarettes and lit them.

They watched the enemy ship coming closer on the screen, smiling, yet with tears rolling in their eyes.

”Ha ha ha, this big guy went crazy, scared witless by our shot.”

”Scared the hell out of them, ha ha.”

The group all laughed, taking hefty drags from the cigarettes, clearly two young men were smoking for the first time, suddenly coughing.

Then everyone fell silent.

The enemy ship came nearer and nearer.

”Xiao Wen, do you think, if I start believing in the Giant Mosquito now, will it make a difference?” The first injured young man suddenly asked.

Xiao Wen shook his head: ”I don’t know what good it’ll do to seek divine help at the last minute. Even half-believers like me find no use. Otherwise, how could things end up this way...”

”You kid, we’re about to die, can’t you say something nice.” Another young man, seemingly older, jokingly scolded.

The external battleship, slowly advancing, nearly arrived at the site of this derelict ship.

”Okay, I’ll say it works! Damn it, all of it works. Do you believe?! Do you?!” Xiao Wen couldn’t hold back his tears anymore, retrieved his Mosquito Pendant from his pocket, and shouted.

”I believe, I do! From now on, I believe in the Mosquito God. Come out, Giant Mosquito, save us! Ah ah ah, I don’t want to die!” The first injured young man also broke down, yelling loudly.

”I believe too, Mosquito God, come rescue us, we’re still young, don’t want to die!”

Several other young people almost simultaneously experienced emotional breakdowns.

As these young individuals cried and shouted, the enemy battleship, slowly flying towards them, had already arrived in front of them.

Knowing that only a few young people remained alive in this battleship, the huge battleship appeared directly outside their main cannon shooting window.

From the perspective of these young individuals, they could see outside the cabin, a battleship towering like a building faced them, with the alien beings inside seeming to show mocking expressions under the lights.

Then, the battleship facing the damaged main cannon shooting window turret slowly began to glow...

”Ah ah ah, I believe, Giant Mosquito, come out for me!”

Boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom!!!!!!!!!

As the young individuals cried out, they heard a heart-shaking sound in the universe space, where ordinarily no sound should be heard.

Then, above their heads, a radiant light, like a gradually rising stellar light, shone brightly.

Within this light, a vaguely reflected monster, much like lightning, directly flew out!

The enemy battleship seemed stunned by this suddenly appearing scene.

Yet within this moment, the huge monster opened its wings, so fast that no one could react!

And it directly collided with the terrifying battleship!

The protective shield, couldn’t stop it!

The battleship armor, couldn’t stop it!

Even the strong ones inside the battleship couldn’t stop it!

Under the gaze of the few young Earth soldiers, this monster like lightning, stepping on the light, struck down the battleship about to attack them like lightning from the sky!

The battleship had no chance of resistance, as if cut directly by a sharp blade.

One slash, two halves!

The entire enemy battleship dissolved into large fragments, and even among them, the strong beings who should have survived had their heads explode, as if internal bombs detonated, directly killing them from within.

”This!”

”What is going on?!”

The young men in the shattered Earth battleship’s turret all opened their mouths wide.

Anyone witnessing the enemy battleship, towering nearly as high as a building and set to eliminate them, suddenly fracture like paper, would be extremely shocked.

Moreover, this happened under circumstances where they almost were about to perish!

Then the young Wen, noticed out of the corner of his eye a dark glow, like a huge shadow in the universe, flying directly towards another nearby battleship, and he suddenly widened his eyes!

”Giant! Giant! Giant!”

He couldn’t catch his breath, unable to say anything, only holding the Mosquito Pendant in his fingers tighter.

”Giant what?”

Young soldiers on the other side all widened their eyes, looking in the direction that little Wen gazed.

Then they all widened their eyes!

”Giant Mosquito! Oh heavens!”

Unaware, the half-broken battleship behind them had stopped exploding, without them realizing when.

...

On Earth, numerous Earth people, including high-ranking figures from Jia’s family, watched the war on the screen intently.

They smiled bitterly, they cried sadly.

In this war, the Earth Fleet suffered immense losses, Earth people suffered immense losses.

One battleship after another destroyed, many promising youths dead, these young people should have been the future of Earth, the hope for Earth’s rise.

But now, they died one by one.

Once these brave soldiers perish, the enemy will reach Earth, extinguishing Earth people, leaving no one watching television able to escape.

No doubt, even Jia’s family, in such enemy circumstances, found escape unlikely, since the enemy was so close, pursuing even if escaping Earth.

Yet Jia’s family didn’t flee.

”Mom, that battleship is ready. I’ll go up now and showcase the combat techniques I learned at school and from Uncle for you all.”

A sixteen or seventeen-year-old girl, already blossoming beautifully, smiled as she looked at a woman who seemed like her sister.

The woman had a youthful look, resembling a girl.

Hearing her daughter’s words, her fingertips trembled suddenly.

”Go ahead, mommy’s waiting for you.” She smiled, unable to hide the tears at the corners of her eyes.

The girl stood up and was about to step out of the large living room.

The entire family watched her, but nobody spoke.

Just at this moment...

”Huh! Mom, there’s a monster on TV.”
