Upon hearing Pipa’s words, Jia Qi’s originally disappointed eyes brightened, almost making her jump up.

”Great... Ahem, no, that’s too bad, but the enemy has come, and we can’t run away, right? Sigh, I’m so scared.”

Jia Qi appeared eager to try yet spoke entirely contradictory words.

”Alright, if you want to fight, listen carefully. You must follow our arrangements; this mothership can’t go to the front line, just picking up scraps at most. You’ll follow me then. Although you’re great at simulated battles, you’re far behind in actual combat, understand?” Pipa resigned herself.

”Okay, I know.” Jia Qi responded casually.

Seeing her demeanor, Pipa smiled wryly.

This small sub-fleet of the Earth Fleet, all in all, comprises eight hundred battleships, and this is because Jia Qi is present, making this sub-fleet the largest possible.

And what they face is an enemy fleet reaching a thousand in number; considering the last battle, not to mention these mere eight hundred battleships, even if there were ten times more, the Earth Fleet might still not defeat the enemy.

After all, that’s a fundamental disparity.

But they have no choice; behind them are three newly mined critical resource stars with minerals vital to Earth’s civilization. Retreating might even affect Earth’s future war reserves.

War is inherently like this; every inch of ground is contested. Retreating now might be the precursor to a future complete defeat.

Although the Giant Mosquito species will help, the attitude of the Giant Mosquito species is unknown to everyone; they may just be playing around here and leave once it gets perilous, wouldn’t the whole Earth’s civilization be doomed then?

At present, no one has reached the Giant Mosquito, so Earth’s side has no idea about ’their’ attitude.

Relying on others is no match to relying on oneself, so this battle is inevitable.

Soon after, all the soldiers and officers of the fleet knew about the enemy’s appearance.

Just after the fleet got invigorated due to the Giant Mosquito’s appearance, upon suddenly hearing that a battle was still necessary, the morale inevitably saw a slight drop.

There are definitely those like Jia Qi eager for battle, but not everyone wants war to break out.

War, after all, means deaths.

”Doha, you’re here to train again? Come on, practice ten rounds with me.”

In the virtual training room, Doha saw Jia Qi.

”Uh, Xiao Qi, maybe not today, I can’t beat you.” Doha was almost resigned.

Originally, he thought that with his strength, there was no match among peers in his age group, but unexpectedly, within this mothership, he encountered the ’Little Thorn Qi’ in front of him.

Comparing mecha technology with her made him depressed, not to mention fighting her, receiving her three moves would now cause a commotion.

Indeed, he has yet to withstand even three moves from Little Thorn Qi.

”Hmph, scared? How about this, today let’s not compete in mecha battles, let’s compare real combats. I know your strength is at the early stage of heavenly level; I won’t bully you, I’ll suppress my strength to the early stage of heavenly level. If you’re still scared, you’re not a man.” Little Thorn Qi, looking both youthful and cute, puffed out her chest, taunting Doha.

Seeing her delicate frame made Doha momentarily dazed: ”Real combat? Uh, that’s not good.”

”Ha, I’m a girl and not afraid, what are you afraid of?” Little Thorn Qi got angry.

”Alright, alright then.”

Under the envious and jealous gazes of a group of new pilots, Doha blushed slightly as he stepped onto the pilot’s platform for real combat against Little Thorn Qi.

His mindset was very tense because in close combat, inevitably he would have to touch the opponent, right? If so...

In reality, he thought too much.

When Doha fought with Little Thorn Qi, in the first moment, he was slapped onto the ground by her, only feeling as if ten thousand *** were running above his head...

”Miss, with such dreadful strength, why bother teasing a little kid like me, boo hoo hoo.” Doha felt like crying.

The fresh happenings on the mothership, although occurring amidst laughter and joviality, still laid a mountain-like heaviness over everyone’s hearts.

Because the enemy fleet’s posture was already getting closer.

A day later, the forward intelligence machine finally transmitted news that made everyone immensely tense.

The enemy fleet has appeared!

It seems that this time, the enemy is extremely cautious in their actions due to some fleets being completely wiped out. Especially when approaching the outermost defense line of the Solar System, they almost stop at every step, which is why it has dragged on for so long.

But after discovering that there was no shadow of any Giant Mosquito around, the entire fleet relaxed.

Then, this enemy fleet of a thousand ships slowly moved towards Earth’s Sub-Fleet.

Both fleets assumed a battle stance.

The difference was that Earth took on a defensive stance, while the opponent took an offensive form.

”These Earth people, this time they actually took a proper defensive formation. In the last intelligence report, they couldn’t even set up a defense properly.”

”Haha, this shows that such a primitive civilization is slowly evolving. But even if they’ve evolved, they’re still primitive.”

”That’s right. We just need to quickly eliminate them and then set up a trap in this area and not fear the Giant Mosquito clan coming over. We need to know that the trap we’re setting up is none other than the famous black hole defense facility within the Biochemical Star Region. If set correctly, even the powerful Semi-permanent Star Level strong ones can’t break through, and if detonated, it can even kill those at the Semi-permanent Star Level.”

Jia Yan’s black hole technology comes from the Biochemical Empire, and the Biochemical Empire is just one of the creating species of this force in the Biochemical Star Region, so the black hole technology of the Biochemical Empire naturally comes from this external force, and even his black hole battle method is absolutely flawless.

If Jia Yan didn’t have the subspace talent, he would be far behind them in terms of black hole control and utilization.

And this time, they plan to set a black hole trap with the idea of luring Jia Yan out and then killing him.

Firstly, they have to eliminate the Earth’s Sub-Fleet in front of them.

And as for this sub-fleet, they have no fear at all, treating it like a small stone on the road that can be easily crushed with a single step.

After all, the previous wars are still vivid in their minds. If it weren’t for that ’Jia Yan’, and the Giant Mosquito that appeared later, Earth would have already been destroyed. Any of those three fleets could easily destroy Earth Civilization with powerful weapons.

And now, it’s the same situation, a thousand against eight hundred, it’s merely a matter of one round of firepower.

On the side of the Earth Fleet, they also understand the gravity of the situation.

”Alright, everyone now understands the dangerous situation we’re facing. The upcoming battle might very well be a nine-death-one-life war for us. However, we cannot give up. If we give up, if we retreat, then the resource stars behind us will fall into the enemy’s hands, and in the future, the entire Earth civilization will lack the minerals from these resource stars, possibly even triggering a massive collapse of Earth. So we cannot retreat.”

”I can guarantee that this war is not Earth Civilization deliberately sending us to our deaths. I hope everyone can adjust their mindset. Now, disperse and prepare for the life and death battle ahead!”

After the pre-war motivational speech from the top echelons of the fleet, the soldiers all returned to their rooms. Of course, some people couldn’t calm down and chatted with each other.

Doha was the same. Even though he was proud of inheriting the warrior bloodline from his parents, when it came time for his first war, he felt that he could not adjust his mindset. Even the pride from his parents was about to be dispelled by fear.

”Haha, our little friend Doha, could it be you’re scared?”

Suddenly, a low laughing voice reached Doha’s ears.

Doha looked up to see Little Thorn Qi, dressed in pilot battle gear, smiling confidently in front of him.

”Xiao Qi, I really admire your mindset. Aren’t you afraid at this moment? I thought I had a good mentality, but you seem even more impressive than me.”

Doha showed an expression of admiration.

Little Thorn Qi had an expression of ’fear nothing under the sky’: ”Afraid of what? What scene haven’t I seen? I even witnessed the Kawai Defense Line war back then.”

”Really? The Kawai Defense Line, I heard that back then it was a defense line with tens of thousands of base stars and a billion warriors above the Sky Level, right? Did you really see it?”

Doha was extremely surprised. Generally, Earth people couldn’t imagine such a terrifying defense line. To him, even the current eight hundred battleships forming a defense line at the edge of the Solar System was already a spectacular sight, let alone imagining several billion creatures and hundreds of thousands or even a million battleships together at the Kawai Defense Line.

Seeing his skeptical look, Little Thorn Qi got annoyed and then started recounting her experience at the Kawai Defense Line back then, giving detailed and accurate descriptions, even mentioning secrets unknown to ordinary Kawai Defense Line soldiers, leaving Doha stunned.

”What a terrifying defense line. But that line was defeated by the enemies we have to face, right? Can we really win this time?”

Hearing this, Doha thought about the fact that the terrifying defense line was defeated by the enemies they were about to face, causing him to fall silent.

”Don’t be afraid. I’m telling you, at that time, just follow me. I guarantee I’ll protect you. It’s only right for a sister to protect her brother.” Little Thorn Qi straightened her petite chest as if speaking with confidence.

Doha opened his mouth, wanting to say he didn’t want to be her brother, but seeing Little Thorn Qi’s bright eyes, he closed his mouth again.

He felt that he was not strong enough yet; if only he were strong enough, Little Thorn Qi wouldn’t look down on him.

After chatting for a while, the two returned to their rooms.

What Doha didn’t expect was that the seemingly careless Little Thorn Qi, who was none other than Jia Qi, had a slightly pale face after returning to her warrior room.
