Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1039: Chapter 11 Breakthrough!_3

”But she also said that she’s somewhat disappointed with my progress? And that my performance is no longer worthy of her attention? It’s true, after leaving Grey-Yellow Star, I haven’t changed much, always relying on the physical advantages of the Evolutionary Creature in battle. But that’s also because I had no direction to learn any combat skills...” Jia Yan felt somewhat helpless, though it was a relief that the other party was no longer watching him, the reason for this lack of interest was that his potential wasn’t worth watching anymore, which was rather frustrating!

”No! Even if she is disappointed in me, I must advance further in the future until I’m as strong as her, to truly give her a shock!” Jia Yan consoled himself with some ferocity.

Of course, when it comes to existences above Stellar level, Jia Yan still didn’t know what a horrifying degree that represented. Even if he made a vow at this moment, it was merely an intense inner declaration, unsure whether he truly had the confidence to reach that level.

”However, regarding the battle with Rong Bo, it seems I’ve gained some insight into the experiences of combat against Strong Ones. My battles have been too smooth sailing before. Throughout this period, against the five Strong Ones, and in the clash with Rong Bo, my explosions haven’t been very effective. Even the stabbing blow with my forelimb doesn’t work on the first try. This is the nature of battles between Strong Ones. At this level, combat is not such a simple matter. Yet, such battles have significantly boosted my combat experience!”

”But after witnessing these battles, why is that Great Being still disappointed in me? Is my improvement not fast enough? Or, in her eyes, am I fundamentally taking the wrong approach to combat?”

Jia Yan’s thinking and brain were not too bad; through some superficial phenomena, he could deeply analyze more intrinsic matters. At this moment, he thought that the Great Being looked down on his current self-satisfactory combat improvements. Otherwise, how could they be so disappointed as to stop observing him?

”I must have fundamentally gone astray somewhere! Where exactly is it? Is the Great Being dissatisfied with the direction of my progress? Or is it my evolutionary abilities that are dissatisfying?” Jia Yan speculated, looking for answers.

The other was a Great Being, and Jia Yan knew their might, something beyond his comprehension. To say Evolutionary Creatures, the other party might not even care for them, because if Evolutionary Creatures were really that powerful, then the whole Starry Sky would have been filled with mighty Evolutionary Creatures long ago!

”That’s right! I must have made some mistake with the direction of the Evolutionary Creature! Just like I thought, if Evolutionary Creatures were really so heaven-defying, their terrifying presence would have left legends throughout the Starry Sky already, but up to now, in this Starfield, I haven’t heard any legends related to Evolutionary Creatures, let alone Great Level Evolutionary Creatures!”

Jia Yan seemed to have grasped a key point.

”So what exactly did I get wrong? Relying too much on the Evolutionary Creature’s mutations? Or could there be another reason...”

He pondered continuously.

The appearance of that Great Existence was both a crisis and an opportunity for Big Mosquito. Jia Yan analyzed from the other’s words that there must be some issues with his current path, but these problems weren’t easy to resolve. At this moment, he simply couldn’t pinpoint the crux.

Such issues couldn’t be understood in an instant; Big Mosquito was still troubled, traveling aboard the battleship.

”Lord, we have arrived at Rong Bo’s lair,” Harrora’s voice suddenly reached Jia Yan, just when his mind was exhausted and he was nearly heading into a dead end.

”Arrived? So ten whole days have passed,” Jia Yan returned from his contemplation and shook his head.

”What about Kama and the others? The lair might have some defenses; if they need my help, tell them to just say so,” he said softly.

”There’s no need, Lord. The enemy’s fleeing forces clearly arrived here faster than us. Most of the materials and personnel have already been pillaged away. They have only left behind some insignificant things. Fortunately, there have been no injuries among the families of those who surrendered. Presumably, they no longer wish to oppose you, Lord,” Harrora reported to Jia Yan, who was about to get up.

Upon hearing this, Jia Yan, who was ready to rise, suddenly felt a wave of listlessness and shook his head again, then lay down anew. He had wished to move around a bit to clear the increasingly messy thoughts in his mind, but unfortunately, the opponent didn’t give him that chance.

”Well then, since there are no surprises here, let the fleet members prepare for the journey deep into the Chaos Starfield,” he commanded.

”Yes, Lord. I’ll send the message right away,” Harrora replied, knowing that Jia Yan wanted to continue his ’cultivation’ and thus silently departed.

For this Kuditian, his ability had become increasingly insufficient to interfere in political affairs; after all, if he truly were competent, the Kuditians under his leadership wouldn’t have ended up in such a wretched state on Tianlong Star.

However, his status remained exceedingly high because he was the first leader of a force to pledge allegiance to Jia Yan in the entire starfield, and rumors had it that he had once saved Jia Yan. Thus, even if he no longer managed major affairs, his words still carried great authority, not to mention that Jia Yan often conveyed commands through him, further solidifying his position.

Rong Bo’s somewhat dilapidated old nest was once again turned upside down by the Giant Mosquito Fleet, leaving behind nothing but an empty shell that might not see a new power settle in for who knows how many years.

And having completed all this, the Giant Mosquito Fleet once again moved forward.

After several days of integration, coupled with Mo Ke’s command, the surrendered members of the Rong Bo Fleet quickly assimilated into the fleet. It should be noted that the number of these members was more than double that of the Giant Mosquito Fleet, yet they were not at all resistant to being commanded by the fewer Giant Mosquito Fleet members, which somewhat surprised Big Mosquito.

But after thinking it over, he came to understand that these Rong Bo Fleet members had joined the fleet on the strength of Rong Bo’s personal power and had long harbored numerous grievances living in the bitterly cold and enclosed Chaos Starfield. Now that Big Mosquito had regained command over them, and with Jia Yan’s goal being the abundant Northern Star Domain, naturally, they offered no resistance. After all, they had no deep affection for the Rong Bo Fleet.

Of course, Big Mosquito was somewhat vigilant about this point and planned to discuss with Ka Qian in the future to strengthen the crew’s sense of belonging.

But now was not the time to talk about these things.

As the fleet continued to fly, after several days of acceleration and getting used to the large-scale collective acceleration, on the tenth day...

An immensely vast screen of light appeared before the entire fleet.

This was not a man-made object, but rather a masterpiece of nature.

It was a spectacle akin to a magnificent, colorful waterfall, seemingly connecting several light-years of the starry sky, enveloping the region behind it completely within, as if the entire heaven and earth were isolated from the outside world—an extremely rare and peculiar sight in the universe!

Behind this screen of light lay what was commonly referred to as the ’center of the Chaos Starfield’, the true land of danger in the entire Chaos Starfield, and the most magical area!

In the past, countless fleets and flotillas had explored and ventured into this mysterious region, which had devoured who knows how many lives.

And today, another vast fleet confronted this vast region, eager to enter and make an attempt!

”Prepare the fleet for entry into the center of the Chaos Starfield, activate the membrane breach acceleration transition data collector.”

”All personnel, prepare for impact.”

”Countdown to entering the membrane area begins now... ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.”

”Entry begins!”
