”Fine, let’s call this fleet the Giant Mosquito Fleet. I forgot to tell you, in my mother star, my species is called ’Giant Mosquito,’” Jia Yan said softly.

”The Giant Mosquito Fleet, and it’s named after your species, Lord... I am so grateful for your trust. I will definitely command this fleet well and not let down you or your species,” Kama responded with some excitement.

”Heh heh, good. Then, Kama, I appoint you as the first Marshal of the Giant Mosquito Fleet. I hope you can help me invigorate the Giant Mosquito Fleet! Now, report to me on the fleet and all related matters of the entire fleet!” Jia Yan’s tone became serious, no longer casual towards Kama.

Kama seemed to change her demeanor in the instant she received her formal title. She straightened her posture and began to report to Jia Yan in a solemn manner, abandoning her previously laid-back attitude.

Jia Yan himself hadn’t expected that this fleet, named on a whim, might become a formidable force in the future... Of course, with his presence, it was destined not to be too shabby.

”Very well, Lord!” Kama’s stunning face showed a valiance Jia Yan had never seen before. He could tell that, after receiving the title of Marshal, which he had casually appointed, Kama’s spirit had dramatically transformed.

In fact, over these past few days, Jia Yan had already noticed that Kama must have studied fleet management and even combat courses, and not just at a superficial level. Compared to that, her piloting skills seemed insignificant. How could Jia Yan not utilize such a commander to the fullest, given her ability?

Besides, his own understanding of the so-called art of battleship command was almost nonexistent. It was better to delegate the authority!

Kama, as if she had committed it to heart, recounted everything about the fleet as if she were reciting from a book: ”Currently, our fleet has a total of ninety-seven warships, of which fifty-one are regular battleships, and the remaining are lesser battleships selected from various power blocks for their superior ability. I plan to divide them into ten battle groups. The warship pilots operating the battleships now include Kuditian as well as some strictly recruited in the last few days. Overall, our pilots are not outstanding by comparison, and some are even quite poor, for truly powerful operators would never join a fleet that, although it has you as one of the Strong Ones, has an uncertain future.”

”However, I have already drafted a plan. As long as we train the fleet and engage in a certain degree of live combat during our future marches, we will be able to dramatically transform them in a period of time, turning them into a fleet with a semblance of combat power!”

”Next, I will report to you, Lord, some important figures.”

”...” Kama explained in a very professional manner, which somewhat surprised Jia Yan. He had already had high regard for this woman, but he had not expected her to be this proficient. He had previously thought she knew only a little about combat, but now it seemed that was far from all she was capable of!

”All right, Kama, you carry on with your methods for now. I’m not interested in your process, after all, you are the professional. I only care about the outcomes. If you cannot quickly build up a fleet with decent ability for me, then I won’t hesitate to replace you as Marshal! Do you understand?” Jia Yan interrupted Kama’s explanation as he had heard enough to get the gist. The detailed numerical data that followed was not worth listening to.

”Yes!” Kama saluted in a military fashion that Jia Yan had never seen before, presumably from her home country.

”All right, you may leave. Announce the formation of the fleet, and by the way, relay the message that the fleet will depart in two days, crossing the Chaos Starfield to head for the Northern Star Domain. If anyone wants to flee, let them. This will be the first test for those newcomers,” Jia Yan spoke with indifference.

”Two days from now?” Kama was startled, then nodded without any hesitation: ”Yes!”

Watching the communication signal go off, Jia Yan was really unaccustomed to this person’s change. A straightforward tomboy had transformed into a proper, iron-blooded female Marshal. Women indeed are fickle...

Of course, what Jia Yan did not know was that this woman had other aspects to her that were not yet revealed.

That day.

”What? The official name of our fleet is the Giant Mosquito Fleet? What kind of name is that, and what is a giant mosquito?”

”Eh... We’re actually going through the Chaos Starfield? Isn’t that place said to be very dangerous? I joined because of Lord Jia Yan, but if I have to go to the Chaos Starfield to die, count me out!”

”A bunch of fools, if Lord is heading to the Chaos Starfield, he must have some assurance. What kind of existence is he? He’s a top-level expert comparable to Tian Wu Adult. Would such an expert venture into the Chaos Starfield without some sort of assurance? It’s said that the Chaos Starfield is full of treasures. If you don’t want to go, fine, but I’ll definitely follow Lord. Maybe by the end of it, I’ll come back a rich man.”

”Alright, alright, keep your voices down. The military ceremony is about to start. It’s rumored that Lord Jia Yan himself will be present. We’ve been here for so long, and apart from Master Kama and Master Harrora, we have yet to see Lord Jia Yan, right? Hurry and line up, don’t let Lord Jia Yan see us disorganized the first time. Whether we go or stay, that’s something to decide later.”

Creature after creature noisily gathered on a small platform.

There were over eight thousand individuals present, of whom less than half were originally Kuditians from the fleet; the remainder had been recruited during the past few days, as the pilots of warships and the operators of various types of weaponry.

Of course, referring to them as experts was a relative term; the real experts would never join such an immature power. Only those who had been struggling with mediocrity would try their luck with the forces of a newly emerged Strong One.
