Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1013: Chapter 3: The Grand Fleet!

The Chaos Starfield, notorious throughout the entire starfield.

It was a mysterious expanse of starry sky, spanning several light-years in size, where ships that ventured into it always disappeared or encountered danger.

Even those ships lucky enough to escape came away knowing little about the place, as if muddled while inside, and their crew often suffered some mental damage after leaving.

”According to Kama’s statement, my strength is already considered that of a top expert who can venture here, and the likelihood of danger for someone of my level in this region is greatly reduced. Of course, there is one exception, and that is unless I enter the core area of the Chaos Starfield!”

”However, this time we do indeed need to traverse the core area, otherwise, we won’t be able to pass through the mysterious region that Souwu mentioned!”

Jia Yan lay prone on the ground, weighing the dangers and possible crises of the Chaos Starfield.

To Big Mosquito, the dangers of the Chaos Starfield should not be too terrifying. After all, his growth had never lacked peril, yet he had managed to overcome it every time.

However, this time he wanted to keep his fleet intact. If not completely unscathed to the Northern Star Domain, then at least he aimed to preserve more than half. That proved to be difficult. Most crises in the Chaos Starfield targeted battleships, especially large-scale fleets, which were even more endangered here, hence ensuring the survival of his fleet was extremely challenging.

Beep beep beep!

As Jia Yan was deep in thought, a piercing alarm sounded throughout his battleship. It was the fleet’s alarm system issuing a warning to the entire fleet.

”Lord, there are energy fluctuations ahead; we’ve been targeted by another fleet!”

Hearing Kama’s communication, Jia Yan was momentarily startled.

But in a moment, he regained his composure. Within the Chaos Starfield, the fleets one might encounter were limited to one, the so-called Rong Bo!

”The opposing side has launched an ultra-long-distance attack, but since the attack comes from millions of kilometers away, the first strike will take about half an hour to reach us!” Kama said soberly.

”Can’t we evade?” asked Jia Yan.

”Impossible. These are fully automated attack warheads. The opponent must have a more advanced radar system than ours and has already locked onto our position. The currently launched warheads have had our velocity and course calculated; we can only destroy them or take the hit to respond!”

”Then let’s eradicate this wave of warheads before they get close, and figure out a way to avoid them!” Jia Yan stated gravely.

Receiving the command, Kama immediately cut the communication, knowing that on a broader scale, she needed to consult Jia Yan, but on a smaller scale, Jia Yan had no experience in controlling a fleet and it was better for her to improvise.

”If it’s really Rong Bo coming for us, then things are truly troublesome. His battleships are certainly more advanced than ours and he’s familiar with this dangerous region. My fleet might not stand a chance against him! But this guy has a reason for attacking without discussion; there’s no way we have any bad blood between us!”

After cutting off the communication, Jia Yan fell into contemplation, but upon reflection, he couldn’t think of any conflict he had with the other party.

”Forget it, this guy won’t just reveal hostility without a backup plan. If he’s scheming something, it will definitely show. For now, I’ll respond to all changes by standing firm!” Jia Yan shook his head, knowing he couldn’t be hasty.

The disparity in battleships couldn’t be easily bridged, but with him, a Strong One, present, the situation was different. Only upon reaching this level himself did he understand how formidable and important a top Starry Sky Strong was in space.

Particularly since Jia Yan was a Cosmic level monster specialized in defense, he felt that as long as he didn’t foolishly dash into a stellar body or enter dangerous regions like black holes, he was unlikely to face much danger. Even if the fleet perished, he could find a way to fly out of this vast starry sky of several light-years on his own!

Indeed, after reaching the pinnacle of Galactic Level Peak, Jia Yan’s strength progressed by leaps and bounds. At this moment, the starry sky posed no significant crisis for him, excluding the Stellar level threats he couldn’t confront and astronomical dangers like black holes. All other risks were no longer too frightening!

For instance, the battleships he once greatly feared, now Jia Yan would be almost completely safe as long as he wasn’t hit head-on by the main cannon of the most powerful kind. His body’s defense had reached the peak concentration a Cosmic level monster could achieve, as solid as the surface material of a White Dwarf Star. Ordinary battleships without special weapons could hardly breach it!

These various strong reasons were the true motivation behind his daring entry into the notoriously perilous Chaos Starfield.

Half an hour passed swiftly.

After Jia Yan analyzed his strengths and weaknesses, concluding he was unwilling to take the ordinary path back, he heard Kama’s voice transmitted to all ships in the fleet.

”Prepare to endure the impact, all fleet members!”

In the fleet, it was already known their first crisis had arrived since their formation. There was no alarm amongst the soldiers; they had long understood that joining the Big Mosquito Fleet meant their excessively young lord was not one to settle. Such a lord would surely lead them into battle, and while the attack from an unknown force was surprising, no soldier felt fear.
