Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1018: Chapter 4: Collision with a Planet!_3

”Don’t rush, first reduce the speed of all ships in the fleet,” Kama’s voice echoed throughout the fleet.

Her voice at this moment was a soothing balm, though Jia Yan’s effect was better, his command skills were truly lacking, so it was Kama who had to step up.

”Lord Jia Yan, how did you see that there were planets ahead?” While Kama commanded the panic-stricken fleet, she also made a point to communicate with Jia Yan.

”My sensory organs have always been somewhat special, and coupled with my greater strength than yours, I was just barely able to detect them. Kama, by reducing our speed now, haven’t we fallen right into the enemy’s trap behind us?” Jia Yan asked with a hint of gravity over the communicator.

Kama’s face also looked grave, and she responded with a bitter smile and a nod. ”Earlier, I mentioned how Rong Bo was nothing special, but now it seems it was all deliberate. They knew our acceleration wasn’t as good as theirs, so they purposely let us flee into this starfield. I guess they also knew about the snow-white planet, considering the impact marks were already there, which is why it looks snow-white.”

Jia Yan similarly managed a bitter smile, realizing that the art of fleet combat wasn’t as simple as he had thought, and there were such cunning tactics that he could never learn.

”Lord Jia Yan, Marshal Kama, fleets are approaching from three directions, a total of seven hundred and twenty. Their speed isn’t as fast as ours now, but we’re reducing our speed, which means the right to accelerate will be theirs!”

As Jia Yan and Kama conversed, a member from the Reconnaissance Ship interrupted with an urgent report!

”Seven hundred and twenty!? Indeed, it’s an ambush set for us,” Jia Yan realized everything upon hearing this.

Kama was likewise taken aback.

”Kama, go ahead and do what you must. The situation is dire. I’m not skilled in warship command, it’s all up to you now!” After saying all this, Jia Yan directly cut off the communication.

He acted as if he had entrusted everything to Kama, a choice borne of necessity. It was clear that the Giant Mosquito Fleet had been outmaneuvered by the enemy; currently unable to accelerate and losing the right to do so, there was no way to fight against the encroaching foe of more than seven hundred warships, because defeat was certain. Faced with such a predicament, anything Jia Yan said was useless. It was better to give authority to Kama outright. His own command would certainly stand no chance of escape, but with Kama, there might be a sliver of possibility.

”Alright! All ships listen, the upcoming battle will undoubtedly be incredibly perilous and difficult. If you cannot follow my orders completely, we have no chance of escape. Please cooperate fully, so we all might have a chance to survive!”

Kama’s expression was more serious than ever; at this moment, she was in her most striking and impressive form.

Her command skills were undeniably showcased.

”All ships head to direction 1DDG22. The space here isn’t stable enough for the enemy’s battleships to engage us in a large-scale group battle; we won’t face too many enemies at once.”

”Ship 143, head to position a252.”

”Ships 25 and 27, head to position 2gaa13.”

”Ships 46 and 91, you go to...”

”...”

Kama spoke rapidly, her face tensed. If one didn’t know better, they might think she was an unsmiling, cold woman, but her expression combined with her swift orders lent her a strange allure.

And Jia Yan, along with the fleet’s soldiers, were truly witnessing her strength.

Perhaps Jia Yan had always held her command abilities in high esteem, but her art of command now far exceeded his expectations.

He had thought he’d picked up just an ordinary commander, but Kama’s fluent terminology and orderly commands made Jia Yan realize that what he had found was not just a capable pilot, but rather a superb warship commander!

”The enemy’s tactics have flaws, they aim to capture Lord Jia Yan, that’s the real reason behind their current strategy. Therefore, they won’t use large-scale tactical weapons. Of course, they will also defend their surroundings to prevent Lord Jia Yan from escaping at high speed. What we must exploit is this mentality...”

Kama analyzed swiftly, Jia Yan had never realized how sharp her mind was. It seemed this was her talent; some people shine and radiate heat only in certain positions. Kama’s talent was just like that, so at this moment, she was exploding with her innate ability.

Of course, it was not just talent that had gotten her this far. She must have undergone the most formal training and seen actual combat previously; otherwise, she could not have the command abilities and the calmness in the face of danger that she possessed.

Under her influence, each of the Giant Mosquito Fleet’s soldiers, who had previously been disheartened, now regained their confidence. After all, defeat meant death, and no one wanted to die just as they saw a chance to climb higher. At this moment, they were naturally determined to fight!

”My Lord, please activate the battleship’s high-speed escape device. I have no certainty about this battle. If we lose, you must retreat. That way, you might actually survive!” While issuing orders, Kama also quietly sent this message to Jia Yan, of course, it was a top-level encrypted message that no one else knew of.

The high-speed escape device was a mechanism on Jia Yan’s battleship capable of exceeding the speed of any flyer and possessing limited ability to traverse space, making it the best tool for escape.

”Okay, I hope you won’t fail. But if you die, I will avenge you!”

Jia Yan did not object, but spoke indifferently to Kama.
