Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 396: Chapter 28: A Variety of Life Forms!【Looking for official subscriptions】_1

The woman was indeed an Auster and she truly served as a sheriff maintaining the order of the city. If viewed from the perspective of an Earthling, she would be akin to a policewoman!

Although she was from the lower rungs of society, she had witnessed a myriad of alien species, even those more massive than the Big Mosquito, she had seen many such beings.

This time encountering Jia Yan, this gigantic flying creature, should ostensibly not be strange. Even if the combat abilities of this creature seemed powerful, its ’mistress’ had mentioned that it was a so-called ’battle pet’. The strength of a battle pet was expected, so that’s not something to be surprised about, right?

After all, when ordinary people refer to battle pets, they are usually referring to pets, not necessarily the offspring of formidable species...

Yet, this female sheriff, still knitted her brows, sensing that something seemed amiss.

What she didn’t know was that the alleged battle pet was considerably stronger than what she had anticipated.

In fact, it wasn’t a battle pet at all!

It was a formidable evolutionary creature!

What she was even more unaware of was that she had previously been enveloped by a Brainwave Power and was on the verge of losing her life.

Including her, everyone on the spacecraft was oblivious to the past events.

”Hmmm?...” Suddenly, the so-called ’sheriffs’ aboard the spaceship, one by one, their expressions changed.

They, like humans on Earth, possessed their own feelings. Their slightly changed expressions were fixed on the scenery ahead!

From that location, several ugly monsters rushed towards them from not far away from the flying objects, sprinting past their current position, and heading directly towards the city in the distance, running quickly!

”%￥￥##!”

The female sheriff, who seemingly had a certain level of authority on the spaceship, issued orders!

The disc-shaped spaceship sprung into motion without delay!

Those running on the ground were three monsters whose speed had astonishingly reached a terrifying extent!

Even though their speed had reached the speed of sound, they were still orderly and extremely agile.

These creatures also exhibited strong vigilance.

When the spacecraft above them began to descend, the three monsters here stopped in their tracks and looked up at the gradually descending spacecraft. Their sharp-toothed faces were all baring their teeth, frowning as a sign of threat towards the flying object above them!

”%%%￥######!!”

Loud commands were issued from the spacecraft. Subsequently, the female sheriff also appeared in the center of the spacecraft.

The events taking place here did not attract the attention of the Big Mosquito or Daphne, who were in the distance.

They were both tired!

At this point, upon seeing the distant city, Jia Yan’s wings could barely flap. He thought anywhere would be good. As long as there was a place for him to rest, that would be enough.

The distance was not far. With Jia Yan’s speed, he arrived extremely quickly!

The city ahead of them was exceedingly vast even from a far distance. However, when they drew closer, they realized it was even larger than it appeared from afar!

Describing it as a single city seemed inadequate. It was as if the city was divided into several regions.

Jia Yan and Daphne, following the female sheriff’s directions, reached a colossal region to the west of the huge city. This region was distinct from others. A massive chasm served as a boundary dividing this place from the other few regions!

Even though this area didn’t have as many skyscrapers, its land area was still the largest in the entire city.

Despite being known as a slum, in the eyes of Jia Yan and Daphne, this place, when compared to those big cities on Earth, didn’t seem to be much different. It was even more filled with a Sci-Fi vibe and completely outweighed those so-called big cities on Earth!

Jia Yan and Daphne flew for a while before thinking of descending below.

After all, they had been intercepted by the Auster sheriff before, which made them realize that this place was likely a city governed by the Auster people. Both of them had past grievances with the Auster people. Daphne was even from the empire, an existence akin to a mortal enemy, so they naturally needed to be more careful and cautious at this time!

”We’re heading over there, remember not to fly around wildly, the city’s antiaircraft fire can start at any time.”

Daphne pointed in a direction near the outskirts of the city.

There, Jia Yan saw a massive building.

Standing over two hundred meters tall, the building’s exterior was covered in reflective materials that shone in various colours, dazzling to the eye.

A variety of life forms gathered around there.

Jia Yan didn’t know what kind of building this was or its function.

But he couldn’t rule out the possibility that Daphne was deceiving him...

However, Daphne seemed to understand Mosquito’s concerns, she said straightforwardly: ”Don’t overthink, in this city, I’m a person without an official status, and I’m not any more familiar with this place than you are. If you keep being suspicious of me, how are we going to get through our present troubles together?!”

Jia Yan didn’t respond.

Indeed, with their past actions, it was impossible for a few words to easily erase their grudges. If Jia Yan were so careless, he wouldn’t be here on an alien planet.

Seemingly helpless, Daphne shook her head and continued: ”Let’s make an agreement, within a month of getting to know this planet, we’ll not plot against each other. The deal applies to both of us. Besides, my power is much weaker than yours, not to mention that you have my self-detonation controller. If you don’t trust me, you can kill me anytime!”

Jia Yan remained silent, analyzing Daphne’s words in his heart.

Soon, they rapidly approached the building ahead.

Daphne finally received a response from Jia Yan!

”Agreed! But you must teach me the so-called Auster language within a month, no more than that. After a month, I will return your controller to you. Whether we continue to fight or be friendly afterward depends on the situation by then.”

Jia Yan’s voice rang in Daphne’s ears.

Daphne responded with a slight smile.

Jia Yan looked at her and simply chuckled coldly.

How could he be so naive as to believe that their grudges would melt away after a month? His idea was to get as much information as possible from this woman in a month!

Learning a language in a month wouldn’t be too hard with Jia Yan’s current intelligence. If it were only everyday language, Jia Yan was confident that he could master it in ten days.

After a month, he could have gathered enough information from this woman!

Then, the only choice left was to kill her!

Daphne was also all smiles. But whether her smile was genuine or just a mask, nobody knew!

On the ground, life forms of various shapes and sizes were moving about.

Some creatures seemed as large as Jia Yan. One had three heads and rode atop another creature that looked like charcoal and had eight limbs.

This charcoal-like creature was nearly the size of a human, and a long pipe on its back exhaled a stream of smoke-like substance with each breath. It was quite eerie.

Nearby was a creature resembling the Tyrannosaurus, the ruler of Earth millions of years ago.

This creature exhaled a faint smell of sulfur with each breath, white smoke jetting from its nostrils, rivaling the charcoal creature.

Besides those two giants, there were other smaller creatures of various shapes and forms. Though they didn’t seem very powerful.

All the other creatures kept their distance from the two giants, seemingly very afraid. (To be continued. If you like this novel, please visit qidian.com to vote, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
