Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 387: Chapter 19 Darkness Comes!【Seeking for Genuine Subscription】_1

Since Daphne was in danger, he had no other choice; he wasn’t doing this on purpose. Besides, with this woman, he had already planned to kill her after the situation was resolved! If she really died at this point, it could only be said that she died too early, without fully making use of her potential.

Unable to help himself, Jia Yan took the dying woman, clutching her in her feet, flew for a while, then landed!

He had used all his strength, and he felt somewhat weak, but he was now deep in the jungle. Compared to the previous sparse woodlands, it should surely be safer, right?

After all, there wasn’t any remaining intelligence in this place, and there were no better alternatives. Jia Yan slowed down his flight, and, slowly, he aimed for a spot with dense shrubbery and descended!

This was a more tree-grouped place than his previous hiding site. Here, there was an Old Ancient Tree that reached the skies, surpassing even two hundred meters in height. It might not even be the tallest tree in the vicinity!

However, its leaf canopy spread far and wide, probably unequaled by any other tree in the area.

Exhausted, Jia Yan flew towards this spot. The ash-yellow stellar body behind him had already disappeared beyond the horizon.

Even in the twilight, when Jia Yan saw the scenery before him, he was amazed.

This tree covered more than three hundred meters of ground. Its branches were flourishing with leaves, whereas the ash-yellow rays of the setting sun were casting through endless leaves onto the ground beneath the tree, giving the Big Mosquito an illusion of a dream!

However, at this moment, the big mosquito’s body wouldn’t improve due to the aesthetically pleasing scenery. After marveling at the unique beauty of this planet, he carried Daphne towards the root of the tree.

The thick foliage overhead afforded excellent cover, and Jia Yan was secure in his belief that if someone were to fly overhead, it would be practically impossible to spot him!

He hadn’t forgotten when he first arrived on this planet. He was almost discovered by some flying creatures. If those flying creatures belonged to the group of the previous Frog Monsters, there was a chance they might follow his tracks and find him.

However, beneath this enormous tree canopy and deep in the forest, Jia Yan was pretty confident it wouldn’t be easy for them to find him again!

He muttered, ”Alright, can I finally get a much-needed rest now? This place is very ’welcoming.’ I’ve only been here for a little while, and it has welcomed me so many times. What a wonderful place, right?”

Jia Yan mocked himself and laughed inwardly. But this kind of whimsy was necessary at the moment, considering the current situation was grim and filled with unforeseeable events. If he couldn’t lighten up his mood, his morale would deteriorate further!

Even after reincarnation and enduring numerous events, the current predicament was still the strangest he ever experienced!

”If those young novel enthusiasts from Earth were here, they’d jump with joy! The prospect of time travel certainly excites them. But it doesn’t quite have the same effect on me. After all, I just experienced reincarnating as a mosquito. Now, another unexpected travel event just makes me more exhausted!”

Jia Yan was indeed very tired. Once Daphne was placed on the ground, he crumpled down, looking at the last sunlight of the peculiar sun, utterly speechless.

There’s nothing to ponder about. This is just a new world, he encouraged himself, trying to keep his thoughts positive.

He believed in his ability to return to Earth. It was not easy for him to create a living environment for his family on Earth. He wanted to see their future. If he was unable to return to Earth, he would be extremely frustrated.

Jia Yan didn’t want to retire as a successful hero! The Earthlings had already accepted the presence of his ’Giant Mosquito Race.’ If possible, he wished to live in Earthling society as a member of the Giant Mosquito Race once peace had been restored!

Another issue pressing on Jia Yan’s mind, forcing him to return, was the so-called exploration ship of civilizations. If these exploration ships returned to Earth, their immense power would certainly pose a threat that Earthlings couldn’t face!

Consequently, if possible, he wanted to return to Earth and even if he couldn’t protect the entire human race, he wished to use his spacecraft to escape Earth with his family!

To achieve at least this, Jia Yan felt, would be his time to say goodbye to Earth!

The afterglow of the sunset shone down, as the Big Mosquito stared straight ahead at the unnameable star. The luminescence of the star wasn’t particularly strong, thus it did not blind him even when he used his compound eyes to gaze directly at it.

The forest under the setting sun was incomparably beautiful. Everything that was ash-grey turned into golden yellow. Some unique birds had also begun to fly in the sky, filling the place with an exotic atmosphere.

In retrospect, if it wasn’t for the stresses of Earth and those frog monsters that want to kill on sight, this place would have been a nice spot to take a nap.

Jia Yan had already slept once before, so he wasn’t sleepy at the moment.

As for Daphne, after regaining consciousness from her prior fainting spell, she soon fainted again. This time, her situation was critical. Jia Yan, having no knowledge of medical techniques, and even if he had, they might not be applicable to an alien like her, had no other choice but to leave her on the ground to either live or die.

Suddenly, the sunlight over there disappeared.

This planet seemed to not have any moon, so once night fell, it immediately lost all its radiance!

One could not even see one’s own fingers when one stretched them out!

Jia Yan became slightly alert! Although the lack of light didn’t seem to bother him too much, as he had inherited the heat vision ability from mosquitoes, in such an unfamiliar place, letting down his guard was impossible.

The forest, which was incredibly beautiful with an exotic charm just a while ago, now that it was plunged into darkness, had gained a touch of eeriness.

Jia Yan, with his keen antenna-like ears, could hear the indigenous creatures, hardly seen under daylight, constantly running back and forth on the ground, some even started to fight each other.

Of course, there definitely wouldn’t be any foolish creature daring to trouble the Big Mosquito.

”Some of these creatures are warm-blooded, and others are cold-blooded. But their bodies are generally not too different from those of Earth. Those strange frog monsters we encountered before, might just be some exceptions...”

Seeing the size of these creatures and the combat power they exhibited during fights, Jia Yan’s worry eased a bit.

Fortunately, not all creatures on this planet were terrifying like those frog monsters. It could even be said that most of them were likely as weak as the forest creatures in front of him.

Jia Yan heaved a sigh of relief, while slowly coming to understand this new world more through the nighttime carnage...

A creature with two heads caught Jia Yan’s attention. One of its heads snatched and bit into a bug-like life form over a meter long.

Then it joyously ate its prey. Jia Yan watched as both heads used their mouths to tear the bug, causing blood and flesh to splatter around. Occasionally, the two heads would threaten each other over the food, which he found quite intriguing and eye-opening.

Besides this predator, there were many other predators. Jia Yan could tell that the herbivores in the forest, while capable of running extremely fast, lacked strong attack power.

On the other hand, all the carnivores were extremely ferocious, but aside from their powerful jaws and claws, they didn’t seem particularly advanced in other respects.

While watching these creatures, Jia Yan had a feeling as if something was off...

Just as his doubts began to surface one by one!

A woman’s groan of pain interrupted his train of thought. (To be continued. If you like this work, please visit qidian.com to vote and recommend. Your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
