Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 375: Chapter 7: Master?! [Looking for Regular Subscription]_1

Jia Yan cast a glance over his shoulder, his eyes indifferent, to the woman hanging on his back. This previous act, though unpremeditated, served well to warn Daphne, so he considered it satisfactory.

Still clad in her ragged protective suit that left no doubt about her appealing body, Daphne looked down at the ground beneath her upon hearing the words of the giant mosquito. She swallowed nervously as she regarded the land five thousand meters below them, a somewhat unusual reaction for someone accustomed to much higher altitudes.

With all advanced technologies, including flying vehicles, confiscated and cleverly hidden by Big Mosquito, her combat power had reached an all-time low. If she were to be dropped from such a height at this time, she would meet an instant and lonely death!

”Please, Giant Mosquito...No, Master! Everything I’ve said is true. But it all happened decades ago; I don’t know if anything has changed since then. Please, don’t kill me!”

Daphne’s eyes sparkled, her voice suddenly soft and pleading as she begged for mercy.

Master?!

Jia Yan nearly dived headfirst to ground mid-flight!

What on Earth had entered this woman’s head?!

He shot a bewildered look at the woman on his back. As far as he could remember, Daphne had always been that mysterious alien, somewhat immature at times but generally impressing him as a dignified, beautiful woman. Now, however, Daphne was uncharacteristically behaving like an ordinary human female; a trait that rose the hairs on his skin even as he found it strange.

As for Daphne, she looked perfectly at ease. In her heart, she started seeing Big Mosquito in a new light. As a woman who understood humans, she recognized traits deeply human in the giant mosquito, both in his physicality and during their conversation!

Although she couldn’t fathom why this Giant Mosquito Monster had human-like traits, it led Daphne to a conclusion: If the creature was partially human, then it was likely to have some similar preferences too!

In any case...

She’d acknowledged that she was now a captive of Big Mosquito, her life and property entirely at his disposal. According to the Empire’s rules, it was customary for her, under these circumstances, to call him ’Master’.

Humans definitely have a thing for that.

Needless to say, Jia Yan initially felt strange to be addressed as such but ended up getting used to it in time.

Thus, from that point onwards, Daphne, the female captive, started addressing Jia Yan as ’Master’!

The sensation was every bit as bizarre as it seemed.

Leaving aside her age and status, Daphne was exquisitely beautiful. Regardless of his monstrous body, Jia Yan did have a thing for such attractive females, and so...

Ah-hem! Let’s just say that having a beautiful woman, in line with his standards of beauty, softly calling him ’Master’ stirred up pretty intense feelings in him.

Of course!

If slaying Daphne was necessary, he wouldn’t hesitate despite her endearments!

Please bear in mind that Jia Yan had been reborn into a cold-blooded creature. His belief has always been in ’ruthlessness’!

Before long, the duo crossed the vast ocean and landed on an enormous continent. This was observed by numerous onlookers dotted along the route.

The temperature here was contrary to that of the northern hemisphere. While spring had just sprung in the north, this side was welcoming the chilly autumnal air that heralded the onset of winter.

This colossal land was Australia!

A variety of creatures wandered around the grand expanse of its wilderness. Human traces had always been sparse here, and the recent invasions by the Metal Monsters over the past half-year had dealt massive blows to the continent, turning it into a paradise for wildlife.

The wildlife seemed to evade and survive the attacks of the Metal Monsters far better than the humans did.

The dramatically different landscape from the Northern Hemisphere utterly captivated Big Mosquito. The picturesque environment was among the most stunning he had ever seen since his rebirth.

”Where on Earth is this mysterious Auster place you speak of?”

Jia Yan asked.

Perched securely on Jia Yan’s back, Daphne had grown bored of the terrestrial view after centuries of observation. Now, she simply scanned the surroundings to determine their location.

Though she appeared a tender, young maiden, in reality, she was much older than Jia Yan’s grandfather. Despite being such an antique, she had the remarkable knack to pinpoint locations accurately even without high-tech devices to aid her navigation!

”Over there!”

Daphne abruptly pointed in one direction.

Jia Yan made no sound, and headed in the direction she pointed out.

Perhaps all the Metal Monsters were aware of Jia Yan’s presence, so they seemed well-prepared for the arrival of the Big Mosquito!

For a moment, an endless array of red beams shot from the ground towards the Big Mosquito in the sky!

However, none of them were as large as those giant red beams. Understanding that these beams, as the Metal Monsters’ ultimate weapon, proved ineffective against the Big Mosquito, they refrained from using them once more.

But how could those weaker red beams emitted from the Metal Monsters’ heads pose any threat to the Big Mosquito?

Just as the beams from below struck the surface of the Big Mosquito’s body repeatedly...

Daphne could sense the constant jolts of explosion within the body of the Big Mosquito she was riding!

But nothing else out of the ordinary happened!

The strange look in Daphne’s eyes became even more pronounced.

How could a creature that had lived for so long be tamed so easily?

However, looking at the Big Mosquito’s combat power, the red-haired woman could not hide her shock.

”What is his real strength? If I remember correctly, this Big Mosquito only appeared half a year ago. During this time, he has been growing more powerful without stop, an occurrence seemingly impossible even among the Evolutionary Creatures.”

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! --------------------

Jia Yan seemed to have forgotten that there was a woman on his back. He quickly dove towards the ground, and the speed of the Big Mosquito doubled the speed of sound!

As expected, he heard the woman on his back let out a muffled grunt.

Daphne was testing Jia Yan, but wasn’t Jia Yan doing the same?

His sudden acceleration was a test of how powerful this woman was without her weapon.

The sudden leap to twice the speed of sound was already too much for Daphne to bear!

It was obvious that her physical strength was merely a tad stronger than that of a regular human on Earth and incomparable to Jia Yan’s.

”Good. Even if she has something up her sleeve, the risk in facing her is greatly reduced under my overwhelming strength!” Jia Yan was assured and went further down to attack the Metal Monsters at an even faster speed!

As of now, Big Mosquito simply crushed regular Metal Monsters!

Moreover, over a thousand assembled Metal Monsters on the ground seemed to slow down even before the Big Mosquito got within a thousand meters of them!

”What the!?” Seeing this, Daphne couldn’t help but suck in a breath!

The odd behavior of the Metal Monsters was due to the Big Mosquito’s use of Brainwave Power to control them all!

Only then did she realize that she had underestimated the Big Mosquito!

The Big Mosquito’s previous use of Brainwave Power in advanced communication methods had already shocked her. However, she didn’t expect that the Big Mosquito’s control over Brainwave Power would become so terrifying within a few days after she took out those high-rank teaching materials!

A bitter smile crept up on Daphne’s face. She realized the Big Mosquito must have exponentially grown more powerful in the past few days. With such powerful Brainwave Power, coupled with the advanced use of Brainwave Power taught by her, even if she returned to her intact aircraft now, it probably won’t pose any threat to the Big Mosquito...

Who knows how such a creature could learn so quickly!

Considering how the Big Mosquito had absorbed her knowledge and combat methods within just a few days, while secretly mastering the advanced usage of Brainwave Power from the high-rank teaching material, Daphne couldn’t help wondering if she really could defy the Big Mosquito any longer.

The battle below was fast and furious and ended even more quickly! (To be continued. If you like this work, please vote and recommend it on Qidian. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please go to m.qidian.com to read. )
