Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

95: Chapter 14: Dream of Light【Seeking Collection】_1 95: Chapter 14: Dream of Light【Seeking Collection】_1 Jia Yan finally equipped the exoskeleton completely!

Overall, he was quite satisfied with the ease of putting on the exoskeleton and its effect!

When all the components were equipped, the weight reached around two and a half kilograms.

This was in line with his expected weight of less than three kilograms.

The flexibility of each part of the component was acceptable, at least it didn’t affect his movements too much.

There were definitely problems, and quite a few of them, but overall, this metallic exoskeleton that offers both offensive and defensive capabilities would give Jia Yan a significant boost in combat power!

“Alright, even though there aren’t many people here, it’s still by the roadside.

I should leave quickly!

Also, it’s a good chance to test the effects of the exoskeleton on me!”

With these thoughts, Jia Yan left the messy boxes and picked up his brand-new laptop bag and a few accessories!

Considering the exoskeleton and his own body, the total weight he was going to carry reached ten kilograms!

“Fly!”

Jia Yan flapped his wings!

The T-shaped pin at the back was severely shaken by the airflow during the flight and trembled immensely!

“The impact is not small, which makes the flight quite unstable!”

Jia Yan finally lifted off the ground!

Normally, his wings only need to flap at a frequency of over a hundred times per second to fly, but this time he reached nearly three hundred times before he barely took off!

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

The noise was extremely loud.

However, Jia Yan felt he could still fly.

“Although flapping wings is more exhausting, the heavy body provides better stability, and the effect of the wings being blocked by the T-shaped metal plate decreased a bit due to the heaviness!”

Mosquito flew towards the distance.

The flight lasted for quite a while.

Jia Yan, who’s wearing the metal exoskeleton, was heading for a small cave that he discovered when he was training to fly some time ago.

The place was about seven or eight kilometers away from Liangshui Town.

A cliff with tens of meters height difference appeared in the night.

The cliff here was like it was sliced from the top with a 90-degree angle, making it look very dangerous, demonstrating the charm of nature as a work of divine craftsmanship.

However, for creatures capable of flying, this danger meant nothing at all.

Jia Yan, with his body making a certain noise, flew in from the sky.

After flying seven or eight kilometers, even he, who had always been quite durable, started to feel a little tired.

After all, it was quite a task for the wings to carry a weight of ten kilograms for flight, and gliding was practically impossible; if he tried, he would surely fall!

So, Jia Yan had been flapping his wings all the way.

Even though he had mutated into a big mosquito, he was feeling worn out at this moment!

Luckily, he was very close to his destination.

Yes, where he was heading to was this cliff; his destination was a small cave that was more than a meter high, around half way up the cliff!

The cave was located about a dozen meters high, with some vines growing around it.

Jia Yan had been resting there during the day for the past few days.

The dark cave was right in front of him, but Jia Yan didn’t fly directly in.

He first used his infrared imaging eyes to check the inside of the cave from the outside.

Only after confirming that there was no sign of any living creature did he fly in!

Now that he was protected by the exoskeleton, and given his inherently high defensive power, Jia Yan felt safer.

He entered the dry cave.

The cave was only a little over three meters deep.

It looked like it had been there for a very long time, possibly a den dug by some creature before, but it had long been abandoned.

Jia Yan carefully placed his laptop and other devices on the ground.

“The exoskeleton does affect flying, but it’s not unacceptable for me.

Besides, I was carrying stuff just now.

If I wasn’t burdened with those, it probably wouldn’t have been so difficult to fly.”

First, Jia Yan used his forelimbs to remove the sharp blades from the front, revealing the original appearance of the limbs.

He then used the protruding forelimbs to open the packaging of the laptop.

This was a 12-inch laptop from a domestic brand.

It seemed that the two assassins impatiently didn’t arrange for the delivery person to buy a better one.

However, this laptop was a good piece from the manufacturer.

Jia Yan carefully took it out.

He pressed the power button!

He then checked the external devices.

He opened the mouse pad and plugged in the mouse.

He set up the wireless network card and put in a flow card from a certain provider.

These items were carefully placed on the styrofoam packaging, as the cave was not clean and Jia Yan didn’t want his brand-new computer equipment to get dirty as soon as he got it.

As for getting online, he knew from before that there was a small village near the cliff where he was.

This village had some mobile phone signal base stations, so he thought that there might be signal near the cliff as well.

After plugging in the devices one by one and adjusting them, Jia Yan was silently praying for divine blessing in his mind!

The internet software alert sounds!

Connected to the internet?!

Right on!

There’s signal here after all, I can get online!

Therefore, the test was successful!

After rebirth as a mosquito, Jia Yan once again acquired a device that represents human civilization!

From now on, he can communicate with the outside world and his life won’t be so dry and lonely.

Jia Yan’s joy was no less than when he obtained the exoskeleton!

“It’s also pre-installed with quite a few applications.

Open up QQ.”

After messing around with the system a bit – first optimizing startup software and the like, incidentally checking for suspicious processes to see if the other party had tampered with anything.

However, considering what the two assassins did earlier, they probably wouldn’t pull any stunts at that point.

But just in case, he still needs to change the system.

He can wait a few days to do so, as Jia Yan doesn’t have any important files stored on the computer for now.

Jia Yan clicked on QQ.

As expected, there were messages from the two assassins.

“Delivery person has already delivered the goods.”

Jia Yan thought for a moment, and typed a serious response.

“Goods have been received.

I’m very satisfied with everything, thanks a lot!

If you need anything in the future, just leave a message, I’ll do my best to help you!”

This wasn’t a lie, these two assassins had helped Jia Yan a lot, or rather, they had been aiding him from the very start of their mutual exploitation through vendetta against the Yu family, followed by getting information on the location of the Northeast Wild Tiger Factory, and now they had given him an exoskeleton and a computer.

If it wasn’t for them, Jia Yan wouldn’t have made it this far.

“We’re glad you’re satisfied, senior.

Since you’re willing to help us in the future, we certainly won’t be polite and will ask for your help when the opportunity comes, so please don’t reject us, haha!” the other side responded quickly.

“Alright, I’m always ready for your requests.”

Jia Yan responded to the message, then exited QQ.

It’s quite important to maintain a sense of mystery, Jia Yan felt that he had revealed too many clues to the other party.

If it continues like this, they will figure him out one day!

Jia Yan then opened a web page and quickly browsed the recent news.

Although he expected that his performance in Tumen City would be widely publicized, the popularity on the internet still exceeded Jia Yan’s expectations!

The event had passed a week ago, but these portal websites’ feature events still had a lot of articles being published, and there were many netizens commenting!

“Latest speculation!

A recent online article caused a frenzy, mentioning the appearance of a large mosquito in the deep mountains of Tumen City, could these two be related?”

Seeing this news, Jia Yan was surprised and searched online, only then he found that Ye Tongyu had written that article!

“Turns out that I unknowingly became an internet celebrity!” After browsing a few articles related to himself at random, Jia Yan closed the webpage.

The internet was hyping him up, but it was still just internet hype.

He had just searched for regular TV stations and other news media, and found out that there wasn’t a widespread promotion of him.

As long as his information wasn’t officially recognized, there was no need to worry.

After all, he believed that it wouldn’t be easy for some civilian groups to capture him.

Even for the authorities, unless they deploy some unique equipment or plans, he can escape from a myriad of troops!

After all, he is a wise mosquito who can also fly.

Ordinary capture plans probably won’t work on him.

Fortunately, at the moment it seems the authorities aren’t paying too much attention.

What Jia Yan doesn’t know is that it’s not that the authorities aren’t paying attention to him.

Rather, many high-ranking officials in Huaxia have generally found out the location of the Northeast Wild Tiger factory!

Some of them have even used their contacts to get some ‘by-products’ from the Northeast Wild Tiger factory, which are those large creatures, and they are keeping them as pets!

The large mosquito appearing in Tumen City, despite being unusually strong, is but a mere mutated creature!

They initially wanted to suppress the news, to sort out the distribution of benefits from the Northeast Wild Tiger Factory before discussing other matters, so the influence Jia Yan made only resulted in internet popularity.

This coincides with Jia Yan’s desire not to be noticed by the authorities, thereby delaying the time it would take for humans to truly notice this unique and powerful mosquito…

Of course, if Jia Yan continues to grow stronger, he will eventually attract attention!

He is just too different from ordinary mutated creatures.

But right now, Jia Yan doesn’t care about these things.

After such a long load-bearing flight, all he wants to do is rest.

So, the unique giant mosquito, without removing the exoskeleton armor, curls up in the cave and quietly falls asleep…

Perhaps it would have a safe and promising dream tonight.

To be continued.

I still haven’t received the recommendation for next week’s promotion today, it appears the editors really do enjoy torturing me!

The end result is that I can barely squeeze this chapter out due to frustration, it feels like I’m being discriminated against.

When I didn’t receive the notification this afternoon, I simply applied for the book to go on sale.

After waiting for several hours, the editor dryly replied to me with just a few words, “Apply again at 350,000 words”.

Well, it’s already 300,000 words, so let it be 350,000 words!

I guess that’s how I’ll have to put my book on sale.

No strong promotion, and they might not even give me the next recommendation!

As for the response, you can guess…

I’m no saint, nor am I without desires.

After the book goes on sale, the only thing I can rely on is you guys!

I really don’t ask for much, an average subscription of 300, which means I can make enough money for two packs of cigarettes a day, I’ll write this book till the end of time, and perfectly complete it!

But if there are not even 300…

Honestly, I can only write a quick ending, end this book, and then find the next opportunity to write a book…

Please remember to subscribe officially when the time comes, this book needs your support to keep going!!

Thanks to ‘ss3rv’, ‘Oil Man’ and ‘Have you registered’ for your rewards!

Thank you!!
