The night is deep and quiet.

All thousands of lights have been extinguished.

The time is the late hours.

The streets of the nearly deserted small city are scattered with a few pedestrians.

Among this scenery, two tall, muscle-bound men with blonde hair and blue eyes stand out prominently.

One of these men is a foreigner with abundant blond hair that makes him look very handsome.

The other one looks older, a potbelly protrudes from his body and his blonde hair is somewhat scarce.

“James, what do you think, do the Huaxia people know we’ve entered their country?” The older middle-aged man questioned with a sneer, surveying the city in front of him.

No matter how he sees it, Huaxia is far behind his own Stars and Stripes Country.

In fact, he believes that even all other countries in the world combined are no match for the Stars and Stripes Country; thus, his smug expression is evident.

“Hamilton, don’t underestimate Huaxia.

As the biggest future rival of our Stars and Stripes Country, Huaxia is definitely not as simple as you think!” The handsome young man shakes his head solemnly.

“I’m sure that Huaxia has already gotten the news of our entry; I just don’t know if they’ll let us free or come looking for trouble…”

The handsome young man suddenly stops his speech.

“It seems they’ve chosen to make trouble!” The elderly foreigner finishes his sentence.

Six figures appear, surrounding them on all sides of the road.

These individuals are wearing fully-protective gear, carrying loaded firearms – at one glance, one can tell these are experienced warriors!

Despite this, the group of six is on high alert, carefully encircling the two Stars and Stripes Countrymen, with no hint of letting their guard down.

Their firearms go click, click, as they ready them.

“Huaxia welcomes your arrival.

Do you have the time to visit us?”

One of the slightly older middle-aged men among the six Huaxia soldiers, asks in fluent English.

The elderly foreigner bursts into a grinning smile.

“You must be the Huaxia Soldier King, huh.

You’re trying to avoid confronting us directly, so you’re using only a handful of your elites to fight us, right?”

Among the six soldiers, the middle-aged man’s expression subtly changes.

The foreign man has guessed correctly – they are the Huaxia Soldier Kinds.

The reason for not using large military forces is because these two foreigners have a special status.

Mobilizing too many forces might lead to bad relations with the Stars and Stripes Country – an outcome nobody wants to see!

Having used just a few Soldier Kings, if they win in a direct battle, it would be a true victory.

These two Stars and Stripes Countrymen, one Hamilton, known as a ‘Hundred-men-enemy gunman’ in the battlefield, and James, a military expert who has been converted to a ‘Super-mutant’ by a secret procedure in the Stars and Stripes Country.

If these two with peak combat power were to fail with just a few opponents, the Stars and Stripes Country would have no excuse or reason to be angry.

After all, it is only right that they be caught for sending people into Huaxia territory without notification.

“Please surrender.” The Huaxia Soldier Kings make a direct attack!

“No wonder I thought that there were so few people around.

Turns out you had evacuated everybody.

You guys in Huaxia sure are meticulous!”

Hamilton, the hundred-men-enemy gunman, pulls out his distinctive large handgun.

This 12.7mm caliber gun is too powerful for a normal person to use; the powerful recoil could easily break a wrist.

Only those who have undergone long-term training and have a body weight of over 80 kg can use it flexibly.

But this is just for usage, to become a master is one in a million!

Hamilton is this one in a million exception – he is an expert with this gun!

Bang, bang!

In the silent streets, a battle unfolds between six of Huaxia’s top soldier kings and two of the Stars and Stripes Country’s top experts!

…

The sky starts to brighten.

Three days had passed since Jia Yan escaped from the Northeast Wild Tiger Factory.

In these three days, the weather has become a bit cold.

The weather in the north is like that.

As soon as autumn and winter seasons arrive, it gets cold really fast.

Flying in the sky, Jia Yan can feel the blood inside his body start to freeze.

“The temperature on the ground isn’t low, roughly around fifteen or sixteen degrees, but flying in the sky at the height of several tens of meters, the external temperature will directly drop below ten degrees.

If flying at high speed, it will get down to around zero degrees!”

He was now flying at a height of over seventy meters.

To test his own cold-resistance!

Mosquitoes are ectothermic creatures, also known as cold-blooded animals.

Their body temperature changes with the external environment.

With such high-altitude environment and fast flying, the temperature can get to freezing point!

The metabolism of normal mosquitoes would stop at about ten degrees.

But Jia Yan, after mutation, can resist harsher conditions, such as some fish that live in the Arctic region – they are also ectothermic, yet they can freely procreate in waters with below-zero temperatures.

But Jia Yan feels he is not capable to that extent yet!

After maintaining high-speed flight for less than ten minutes, he begins to feel the rigidity of his body.

All six of his appendages become incredibly unresponsive, and he finds it harder to flap his wings.

But Jia Yan continues nonetheless!

The ability to resist the cold doesn’t develop overnight but he needs to properly assess his operating performance in real cold weather.

Based on current results, functioning freely in such conditions would be quite challenging!

Just bearable at about zero degrees, he could barely move after ten minutes.

The weather in the north can change in an instant!

It’s not improbable to transition to zero degrees in just ten days or half a month.

If he can’t bear the cold when the temperatures drop, he will have to hibernate in warm, unmoving air like the average mosquito.

This is absolutely not the outcome that Jia Yan wants to see!

The good news is that even though he freezes relatively quickly, he’s shown unusual resilience!

He lets his body continually experience near freezing temperatures, only slowing down and landing half an hour later when his physical stamina is starting to lag.

“It appears that aside from my body becoming rigid and unresponsive, I can still survive and maintain a certain mobility at zero degrees.”

“But if the temperature falls to minus ten degrees or lower, it’s not certain anymore!”

Jia Yan understands his temperature tolerance limit through his estimations.

Even after three mutations and ingesting the Mysterious Liquid, his tolerance to cold did not improve significantly.

However, there is nothing he could do about it.

After all, the previous few mutations were all for strengthening his body.

His ability to withstand cold, being such a ‘non-essential’ trait, might only change after one or two more mutations!

Therefore, once he came to this conclusion and figured out the data, Jia Yan fell into deep thought!

“No, the northern weather is too hazardous for me.

If it gets to zero degrees, after reaching a certain speed, I might even experience minus ten degrees!

I can’t guarantee if I’ll freeze to death or if my body will damage due to this!”

“So it’s best to settle the situation in the north as soon as possible.

If I can’t get the Black Original Solution from the Northeast Wild Tiger soon, then I will return to the Underground World, ingest the Mysterious Liquid amidst the Army of Weasels and then escape.

I’ll head south!”

“After all, it’s been a while since I’ve been home.

Back home, it’s rare for the temperature to fall below freezing.

I might as well return home.”

Thinking of home, his parents, his thoughtful little sister, Jia Yan’s seemingly freezing body filled with unexpected warmth.

But Jia Yan couldn’t remember how many times his plans had changed due to various circumstances.

This time might be the same.

After all, life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.

“Since I want the matter to be resolved quickly, I must dramatically increase my combat power in a short time!”

“The method of training to increase combat strength is definitely too slow, so I guess I’ll have to resort to my backup plan.

The question is whether I’ll be able to implement it properly…”

As Jia Yan mulled over his decision, he flew towards a tree, planning to land there.

Just then, a bat flew by.

Without a second thought, Jia Yan shot toward the creature.

Before the bat could react, his mouth needle shot out!

The bat died instantly!

After killing the bat, Jia Yan shook his head in resignation.

He had developed a routine of killing bats over the past few days.

He did not want to kill this bat initially; there was no need to use bats for practice anymore.

The desired effect had been reached.

Three nights of intensive training made Jia Yan considerably more agile and gave him a wide range of attack methods.

He landed on the tree, took a light nap.

By midnight, Jia Yan was revitalized!

He shot up from the treetop!

This time he did not wander around in the woods, instead, he spread his wings and flew straight towards a human county tens of kilometers away!

He was going to implement his plan there!

What Jia Yan didn’t know, was that in the heat of battle, two groups of fighters had moved their fight to that city over the course of three days…

The city’s name was Tumen City.

To be continued…
