By the clear stream, a carp was constantly twisting and leaping on the shore!

“Nothing…”

When Jia Yan pulled his proboscis out of the carp’s head.

The carp had already lost all signs of life, its massive body laying still on the chilly rocky ground, devoid of breath!

Jia Yan stayed silent for a moment, then shook his head.

After his investigation, he indeed didn’t find any trace of the mysterious liquid in the carp’s brain!

His deduction was then correct.

Whether it’s the concoction from the Northeast Wild Tiger Factory, black liquid or this underground world, they are all only able to promote mutation in insect organisms, and perhaps only certain specific types of insects!

What kind of secret is behind this, Jia Yan still isn’t sure, but at least he has discovered this basic law!

“I’ve never seen a purely flying insect successfully mutate.

Of course, the giant silkworms in this underground world don’t count because they are the indigenous organisms here, and do not belong to mutated organisms.”

“So, my mutation would be unique.

If my earlier conjecture is correct, Dipteran insects don’t fail to mutate because their bodies are too weak to endure the torment of mutating power, leading to a certain death.”

“It was precisely because my previous physique was too weak, that my progress and plasticity are the greatest!

The body I’ve developed step by step through mutation has overtaken my previous weak body.

That’s why I have more potential to grow than those sturdy creatures like centipedes!”

Ironically, the weakness makes him more likely to succeed!

Jia Yan glanced left and right.

This piece of ground by the stream is exactly where the red centipede died a few days ago.

But now, there’s no sign of the red centipede’s corpse, and one can only guess what carnivore dragged it away!

Leaving the big fish where it was, Jia Yan flapped his wings and took off from the ground…

Flying, he continued analyzing everything.

The more some things are contemplated, the clearer they become.

Jia Yan flew past a thicket!

This thicket might as well be called a clump of grass, but these plants are so lush that they have become a large area of shrubs.

In this thicket, a pair of bulging eyes were watching Jia Yan’s flying figure.

As Jia Yan was flying over these protruding eyes!

The eyes gave a fierce turn!

The next moment, the owner of those eyes unexpectedly spat out the lengthy, soft tongue from his mouth!

The tongue, like a nimble little snake, created a sonic boom in the air, shooting towards the creature in mid-air!

Jia Yan was in the air, constantly lost in thought.

As a human soul, he never stopped thinking, so sometimes, he would become less vigilant.

The moment this long tongue shot out, he saw an object attacking him through his compound eyes!

He wanted to dodge, but the tongue was just too fast!

Before he could dodge, the long tongue attached itself to his abdomen.

Then, a massive force started pulling him downwards!

The figure of the predator was now revealed in Jia Yan’s eyes.

It was a giant toad, its skin littered with disgusting lumps!

This toad was over thirty centimeters long, it was an absolute behemoth when placed on the ground.

“Hmph, just a gigantic toad!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes flashed strangely, then he flapped his wings with force!

Buzz!

Buzz!

Buzz!

His whole body ascended, easily shaking off the sticky long tongue.

Jia Yan, who had mutated several times, was now far stronger than his size suggested.

Even he couldn’t guess how strong he was now!

Jia Yan’s mosquito figure pirouetted in the air, lined up with the toad below, and was about to attack!

“Nope!

This toad looks poisonous.”

Up in the air, seeing the lump covered toad, Jia Yan sighed regretfully in his heart, but still flapped his wings and flew away from the thicket!

Even if the toad wasn’t toxic, he didn’t want to assassinate such a disgusting creature.

He doesn’t eat meat anyway, so there’s no benefit in killing it, right?

“Looks like I need to test if my body has any resistance to toxins in the future.

But mutation isn’t omnipotent.

Even if my body develops resistance, there’s no way I can become completely immune to all toxins, right?”

The sound of the mosquito flying resonated far across the underground world.

In fact, this space only spans about five kilometers.

If Jia Yan flew at full speed, it wouldn’t take long to fly from one end to the other.

But he didn’t do that, instead, he continuously patrolled in the air.

“There seem to be articles from the human world on the ground over there!” Not long after, Jia Yan saw some shiny objects on the ground.

He flew over there.

After making sure it was safe, Jia Yan controlled his body and descended.

It was a mirror, its surface shimmering phosphorescently.

Even after many years, it still reflected the frightening, mutated proboscis of Jia Yan very clearly.

“It seems that the humans who died in the cave had been here too.” Jia Yan looked around, saw no more human items, and flew directly into the sky.

There could be numerous reasons for humans to die in this Underground World.

The humans looked like they were in military uniform and equipped with firearms.

However, there are many terrifying giant creatures in the Underground World.

The reason Jia Yan could move around freely now is that he has the advantage of being able to fly.

If humans were to advance on the ground, the chances of encountering and being killed by giant creatures would be high.

Of course, for humans with heat weapons, ordinary giant creatures might not necessarily stop them.

However, the greatest assassin, the toxins in the air, would definitely leave them helpless, with no choice but to wait for death!

Yes, the air in the Underground World, although Jia Yan speculated to be a key factor in animal gigantism, might not be so good for humans.

Even for many organisms, this may not be an easy place to survive.

So, based on the scenes from dozens of years ago, Jia Yan could generally guess what had happened.

The human squads who had managed to kill some giant creatures die one by one from the toxins in the air.

In the process of escaping to the cave, a large number of them die on the way!

“And then some Japanese organizations studied that the air in the Underground World has special substances!”

“Followed by the factory appearing on the crevice connected to the cave.

After that, wars broke out in the factory and other places!”

“It was forgotten and abandoned for decades until it was reopened by the Northeast Wild Tiger using some means.

This…

should be the whole process of the event.”

Jia Yan felt his guess was mostly correct.

Hum hum hum.

He was still flying in the sky.

Sometimes, even giant creatures on the ground would launch attacks at him flying ten meters high.

A creature resembling a head-banging insect, but its body was hundreds of times larger than a normal head-banging insect.

This fellow thought Jia Yan had invaded its territory.

When Jia Yan flew over its territory, it hit its head on the ground, and its body instantly shot up, colliding with the flying Jia Yan!

Jia Yan easily evaded it, the head-banging insect didn’t even touch a hair of his.

The number of creatures here is very large, but for some reason, the source of food is also extremely abundant.

At least it can maintain such a large number of creatures to reproduce here.

They are full of aggressiveness, not to mention carnivorous animals.

Even herbivorous organisms like the head-banging insect is extremely violent!

“I’m not sure if it’s the influence of the special air and environment here, I need to be careful…”

Jia Yan felt it necessary to resist his desire to slaughter, otherwise, how would he be different from these wild creatures?!

As Jia Yan continued to explore this world.

“What’s that?

Another human object?”

A thing laying on the ground, almost half-buried in the mud, was observed keenly by Jia Yan’s compound eyes!

Jia Yan looked around.

On the ground, there was a giant snake over three meters long coiling on the ground to rest.

This giant snake was obviously a cobra, but its body was greenish, somewhat similar to the color of the plants.

Jia Yan hesitated, looking at the human object buried less than five meters from the giant snake.

He was considering whether to go down and investigate this object!

If it’s another mirror or a rotten helmet, it’s not worth risking going down there.

Because no matter how you look at that giant snake, it doesn’t seem easy to deal with…

“It doesn’t seem to be a mirror or a helmet, this is…

a notebook?!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes flickered.

In case of a notebook, there is a need to risk going to seize it!

Because such notebooks are usually used to record important events.

Especially those humans who were soldiers, it might even be some official record.

If it contains some secrets, or whatever other important things these humans have discovered here, it would be very helpful to Jia Yan.

Although…

Jia Yan doesn’t understand the language of Wa Kingdom.

But the language of Wa Kingdom is greatly influenced by Huaxia, and much of it is Huaxia language.

If he guesses and figures out, he has a good chance of figuring out what it means!

Thinking about this, Jia Yan made a decision!

The sound of his flight had already caused the alertness of the giant green cobra below.

The cobra’s muscles inflated around its “heart”, like a pair of small wings, hissing at Jia Yan, constantly exhaling its forked tongue!

This is a threat to Jia Yan!

“No matter what, I need to get this notebook!”

Jia Yan flew towards the cobra.

To be continued.
